****, this company has no interest in accurate data. When the time came to sell my car I was told a history of an accident was reported on the carfax. Unfortunately carfax will not defend their claims or allow you to dispute their claims. I was able to determine the date of the fake accident, and could prove the car was at the ***** dealership for regular maintenance and received no body work and wasnt in an accident under their care. Even with receipts and photos, carfax refused to even discuss their inaccurate report.

CARFAX refuses to let me leave a bad review for the Car Doctors. The Car Doctors scammed me, and CARFAX is protecting them. Per the Consumer Review Fairness Act, I am allowed to leave an honest review. I had a bad experience with the Car Doctors. I am allowed to share that experience with others. People need to be warned about the Car Doctors deceitful business practices. It is wrong for CARFAX to reject my honest review.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have been trying FOREVER to get a vehicle report corrected and it's very convenient that they do not offer a phone number to call and actually speak with someone for help. I am impressed that they have gotten away with the ruse of not offering a phone number so that helps streamline customer ********************** to focus on other areas of help....BUT then DO NOT HELP or respond to requests for help! WORST CUSTOMER ********************** EVER!!!!!!!!!

Carfax could significantly improve the demonstration of cars recommended as a trusted dealer. I trusted the demonstration of a car from the dealer Best Import Auto Sales, in ******* and went to buy the car, resulting in a car that underneath is completely full of corrosion, among other problems that began in the same month of having bought it. The dealer did not even give the three-month warranty. Of course, they do not take responsibility for cars that after buying them at ridiculous prices they sell them as a better imported car at a better price. They are so disrespectful that when the client complains in the review, they call them liars and are even sarcastic. Be very careful when buying cars that do not give you a warranty, because it means, fix it as you can when you start having problems because the dealer or dealers are not going to spend the money to prepare a used car that you have bought. And with the cool face they tell the client you bought a used car.

I wished I had reviewed Carfax consumer complaints prior to using a Carfax report to aid in making a vehicle buying decision. We purchased a 2023 ******* from a dealer and car drove great and had a clean Carfax report with no issues. Well we had the vehicle delivered and upon receipt we had an AirBag System warning light on after vehicle was started. Long story short I had the AirBags tested by a ******* dealer and they reported that there was NO AirBag in the driver side curtain airbag location. WOW! I had put a Stop payment on the cheque I had written for the purchase of the vehicle and was able to have Dealer fix the vehicle by a ******* dealer or take the car back. They refused to fix the vehicle, ******* estimated up to $6k depending on findings, so they took the vehicle back. It cost me $124 diagnosis fee at ******* and $49 for a Carfax report. When I contacted Carfax about this issue they after 3 weeks said nothing, I need to resolve with Dealer. I reminded Carfax that I made a car buying decision partially based on their report, which as it turns out was wrong. No money back, no apologies, no correction of the report (I pity next buyer). So basically the Carfax report means nothing. Do not use Carfax report at all. They even admit that they rely on reporting from the industry, I think the industry has figured out loop holes in the reporting or they are deceiving the public purposely. I can provide details of the CarFax report, complaint #, ******* diagnosis report.

Dont Trust CARFAX or Read the Terms and Conditions. I purchased a vehicle based on a CARFAX report that stated "No accidents or damage reported." The vehicle had been in an accident that was reported to consumer agencies and insurance companies. I submitted supporting documents, including an insurance claim and consumer reports, proving the accident details. CARFAX received my case (#********) on August 22, 2024. However, their response was, "CARFAX does not offer a guarantee for unreported accidents or other problems that do not result in a title brand." This is misleading, as the accident was reported elsewhere. CARFAX refuses to take responsibility for the inaccuracy and simply refers to their Terms and Conditions when things go wrong. Consumers should be cautiousCARFAX reports can omit critical information, and their guarantee offers no protection. You can find title brand issues from your local department of motor vehicles for free.

I used to work at CARFAX. I no longer work there and am NOT a representative or agent of CARFAX any longer. These reviews make me extremely sad. First up I want to apologize for the frustration and heartburn the contact and correction process has cause any living soul. Yes, I too have experienced this frustration but then again my needs are more toward the legal, and accounting aspects and NOT the *** corrections. Thus my queries are out of the norm. HOWEVER:I found this out on the internet; I hope it helps someone. It is old, but might help (2006) ********************************************************************************** "Have a question for CARFAX, the online company that provides vehicle history information?Don't bother picking up the phone.CARFAX only answers customer ********************** questions by e-mail and online chat. I started a Carfax account almost 10 years ago for a stepdaughter's truck. It is the only vehicle that has ever been listed under Carfax. Within the past 3 months I've started receiving notifications for a vehicle I do not own in another state at another dealership. I've contacted the dealerships. There is no phone number for Carfax and trying to delete the Carfax account through the methods advised is not working due to "Error: Cannot enter settings at this time, try again later." I've been trying all day. It really concerns me now that they have been handing out my information. No one has access to my email address on the fly. I've followed the steps to contact customer **********************, but after reading the prior reviews, it seems that will be fruitless. Update from the dealership is that the vehicle is registered to someone with the same last name as I have, but not the same first name and none of the other information is the same. Hopefully this will be taken care of or I will proceed further.

DO NOT pay for a Carfax report thats how they make money.Carfax reported my truck as the airbags have been deployed. NOT THE ***** they have never been deployed. Carfax is a joke and should not carry the credibility that they have. They take your information in and give you a case number and then send you emails as if theyre working on it. After weeks they send you a survey asking about their fine service theyve done on your incomplete case. Carfax can **** it in my book. Absolutely a total intake and absolutely NO return as service. DO NOT pay for a Carfax report thats how they make money.

No way to correct report. Lots of records missing. They say they are working on fixing reports but never do
