  Carfax wrongfully reported my vehicle as having been in an accident. I've emailed them but they won't fix their error. Obviously, there was no police report - there was no accident. You cannot fix this yourself on their site. There is NO customer **********************! No phone number! They do this to steal from people

  The folks with the service department, at crossroad **** in ************, specifically the service advisor and manager should go through training, this shop either has a significant lack of training or lack of incompetence. Has had my warranted* vehicle for a week and still has no diagnose, nor offered a loaner vehicle, was told three separate times i would have a vehicle. The service advisor there, most likey couldn't advise a toddler on which shoe is the left or right and the shop manager there severely lacks coordination. I finally got smart an called **** customer help line, told me i can have it took to another **** service shop, mind you its not drivable so the *** even advised i can have it towed, since its under warranty, and that i was covered for a rental car amazing the service department is even in business, these folks giving more than 1 star must have had an entire different team.

  This company is horrible. I completed the contact form 3 times and they still have not contacted me. It's really important that I sell my husband's truck. He passed away this May and I need to pay some bills. There's an error on my Carfax report, indicating that the airbags deployed, but I have a police report saying that they didn't. I sent the report to Carfax 3 times and they still have not contacted me. I think someone needs to do something about this company. There needs to be serious consequences for reporting erroneous information. The information reported is negatively impacting my financial situation and they don't care. There is no way to contact them via phone. The number on the BBB is a fax number.

  I emailed Bronx dealer thru CarFax site regarding my interest in a particular vehicle. I received several notifications from at least three different people stating that the vehicle was available. Calls and text to schedule appointments. I responded and stated that I would stop by with my son and nephew. I arrived and was introduced to at least three different people. I was assigned yet another representative who then told me the car was just sold and asked if I would be interested in a more expensive car. I then mentioned showing interest in another vehicle for the same monetary value just this morning and again apparently that second vehicle was sold as well. Is this customer quality **********************? I trusted your web site, and was totally disappointed in the way I was treated by sales at this location and Car Fax.

  My car was reported to be in a accident and has never been in a accident. It was reported erroneous months ago and they still have not resolved it

  I didn't believe some of the reviews about Carfax, claiming they change some Carfax reports, until I tried to purchase a car. I found out this car's report has all personal previews owners. I compared it to Been verified, which tells me it was a Leased car for 10 years! OMG, I can't believe it, to me this is a scam and they're getting away with it, not right!

  We bought a truck on April 2016, the CARFAX report for which read "no accident/damage" reported. Eight years later we go to sell the truck and the CARFAX report pulled up by the dealer notes a significant accident in January 2016 (three months before our purchase) with severe damage on all four sides of the truck and airbag deployment. This current report on the truck is significantly affecting our resale/trade in value. The dealership from whom we purchased the truck stepped in to investigate through their contact with Carfax and they only got a response that said "I have confirmed that this vehicle was determined to have an an estimate or repairs completed". It is my understanding we have a right to the documentation that Carfax claims supports the report (personal info redacted) and that affects the value of our property. Location of the shop that executed the repairs and specific dates would be helpful and telling. Certainly if Carfax able to respond to the dealership within a week confirming the accident, they should be able to provide us with that information also sooner than later. After four months of communication with Consumer Research and Carfax Research, the last reply I received was in May thanking me for my patience! Could it be they don't have any such documentation?

  I paid for a CARFAX report on a car I was very interested in buying. CARFAX sent me a receipt via my email with a link to the report. I used the link to view the report, signed in, and guess what? NO REPORT. Plus, in my account there is no record of me buying a report. I tried to contact CARFAX without any success so I used their website to try and get help but no help has been offered through CARFAX. The car I was very interested in will not last long on the market and I'm out of my $44.99 that CARFAX took from me trying to do an honest investigation before buying. CARFAX in my opinion is a fraud and I will seek other means to reimburse the money I paid them for a report with no report delivered.
