      Never do business with a company that does not offer customer service by phone. I give this company ZERO stars! I have been trying to cancel my dealerships subscription for the last two weeks with no response. I am getting ready to start legal action and I am going to sue for damages if necessary. Stay away from this company. Use Auto Check by Experian. Much more reputable and reliable company. I cannot express my utter disappointment with this mickey mouse operation. you have been warned!

      Carfax reported that my vehicle had been in a accident. When I only had my camera replaced be cause the view was distorted. The car was only 3 months old. It has never been in an collision. My insurance company reported it as a comp claim. Now my brand new car less than a year old has a depreciation of $8000 because of this error reporting. Even on the dealership work order it stays camera was replaced. It’s a shame that carfax is allowed to report in accuracy at the owners expense.

      Three times now, Carfax has had wrong information on a car. It is virtually impossible to get hold of anyone for support, it takes them weeks to respond and then it is beyond ridiculous to get them to correct the information. Their service is so horrible you can't even get them to fix a link to a report you are supposed to have access to.
      There is no way anyone should be using these to evaluate the value of a car.

      Not worth the money.
      Zero Cust. Service. Zero !
      Incomplete info.
      The "Sell Your.Car " feature is a fake , to get you to visit the dealer .It says " No Purchase Necessary " but that is a lie . I drove 30 miles for this and the dealer refused to even look at my car unless I agreed to buy a new car from them. CARFAX does not offer Cust support ....... Period !
      My many complaints went unanswered.
      They are , in my opinion, a con-game........

      Bought 3 report credits. Used two and then they took the third credit for no discernable reason. Am trying to get them to restore the third credit or refund me. This problem has been reported a lot and seems to be indicative of a running scam by the company, where they can claim technical difficulties when they contact you while reaping the benefits from less cognizant customers. This is from a nationally recognized company no less. These credits were only one year into the four year expiry date listed in the FAQ, so there is no reason for them to be removed.

      Carfax lists an accident on my truck only because a police report was filed. I backed up at a gas station and the ball hitch on my truck barely touched this guy pumping gas behind me. He insisted on filing a report despite the fact that you could barely see the blemish on his plastic fender. No insurance was ever paid out by any insurance company but Carfax reported this as an accident with no further detail. Now I'm attempting to buy a new truck and I'm getting wacked on the trade in because of an accident that caused no damage to either vehicle. They don't respond to my email and there is no phone to call. Meanwhile I'm hanging out there to dry while my new vehicle gets sold to someone else.

      I contacted Carfax due to an incorrect history report on my vehicle. CarFax response was very robotic, Asking me questions I’ve already answered in my email. I explained I do not have any documentation because there’s nothing to document, the accident never occurred nor did I take my vehicle to any shop on the reporting date. Carfax was not willing to give me the reporting source which would have allowed me to contact “the source” to correct the fraudulent reporting. In fact Carfax stated they were going to keep their source private confidential (a secret). Carfax also, stated if I continue to contact them they would not change the report. I explained it is my legal right to know who’s falsely reporting an accident on my vehicle. Consumers pay a fee to receive an accurate history report vehicles from Carfax. But, Carfax would not share the reporting source, which left my vehicle with a fraudulent report.

      Garbage outdated, and don't stand behind their product or Consumer Protection Laws in Ontario.

      Beyond frustrating. I cannot get Carfax to communicate with me. I sent in a request as they do not provide a phone number to call which is ridiculous. They try to tout that only accepting requests via the internet allows them to be more efficient, that’s a joke. I reached out on 2/28/23 as Carfax shows Flood reported 1/5/23 on my 2018 BMW and it is not accurate. I provided them data from the insurance company, towing company and dealership all supporting that my card was not flooded. It was repaired as a pressure valve failed and water got into a rear panel. All reports shows it was mechanical it was never flooded. When I submitted the request I did get an automated response saying they would get back to me. Since 2/28 I have reached out four times and they will not return my email. I even asked them just to tell me who reported the flood so I could reach out directly but still no response. I purchased a new car so I want to sell my 2018. The car is in excellent condition but their refusal to work with me to clear the false flood report significantly reduces my ability to sell the car for its market value. Reading many of the other reviews this company needs to be regulated. They should not be allowed to publish information that is not verified.
