Took money for an inmate in a faculty that doesn’t even use their service. Waiting for a refund still after 4 calls and 2.5 months. Scam

Deposited to Trust and Commisary 100.00. Went to the phone only account.
Called customer service and “unfortunately they cannot help. “Once it’s done it’s a gift and they cannot transfer or refund. “They are so sorry”.
Nephew states in his phone account. Customer Service states in the tablet account.
My brother has also had a lot of problems with this service. Skip if you can. Go directly to the facility.

This company is a nightmare. We're constantly bounced between different services that us and inmates are way overcharged for and they don't work! It's a constant fight to send and receive money or messages. Then half the time if you paid money the service won't work. It's been a decade of constant poor service. There's no competitor to go to so youre forced to pay these people money for absolutely awful product.

You have to wonder in today's age of instant payments and messaging services why this company can't seem to find one fully functional service in nearly a decade. I wish I could warn people away but we don't get a choice if we want to speak to our family. Thank you, GTL, for making a difficult time even worse with this spectacular example of what capitalism buys us!

I have called this service at least 6 times now. The call is dropped or the agent tells you to hang up and reset the password when that is not the issue.
I have sent this email twice:
"I have contacted your customer service 3 times. Twice they each said to reset my password. One guy said to add my phone number This does not work. That is just to get me off of the phone. Please fix this problem ASAP.
Problem: I have a balance on the account and cannot send emails because the account states that I do not have enough pre paid balance"
It is frustrating that a family member is away and you have no way of communicating with them. Also.
it is very insensitive that a company that "supports" inmates would call an app "getting out"

They take money, ostensibly for calls, that you later cannot find because you can’t log into their website. When you create an account the site says that your information doesn’t match their records even though you have it saved in your iPhone. Completely illegal. Should be sued.

Customer service is non existent. They take your money easily, but to get a refund . .....good luck. Their apps never work. They are thieves praying off of people that are desperate to have a connection with the outside world. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I have never written a review on anything unless it was positive feedback . But the true unprofessionalism of the agents working at this company is absurd, and has caused me to do so. Their QA must be extremely lenient, and this is coming from a debt collection agent . They have yet to fund my accounts for money that had been processed out of my cash app card and I have send them proof of transactions along w receipts and order numbers . Connect network stated the payment did go through, however telmate had yet to respond to my emails and getting nothing but agents that are cutting me off and raising their voice at me instead of helping me . Out of the 5 agents I spoke to only one had a professional manner , even of of the supervisors was getting snappy and saying smart remarks over the phone . It’s sad that we are forced to deal w this company :

This company is awful!!! They are more than willing to take your money. The service never works but you are definitely charged. Unfortunately, they have the control and we don't. They never respond to the help emails. It is a scam!!! Proceed with caution! You are donating your money to this company.

This is the worst site for messaging! My loved one and I have problems getting on to message each other at least once a week, usually more! I've never had a texting platform with so many issues! Then, they want to take money from people who didn't even do anything! I can understand charging the inmate, but charging the people who are out? Especially when your system is crappy and has issues multiple times a month? I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the connection every so often on purpose just because they think they're better. Sorry, but the inmates are people too. Not to mention the customer service reps are absolutely useless. Oh, and I have 5 messages that I can't read. Haven't been able to for months now. This company obviously don't care. If they're going to have a crappy system, at least make it free. Absolutely disgusting!
