1 starI bought a 2010 Volkswagen CC in 2016; Firstly, I'm obsessed with the black & cream interior/body style. 1st issue I had was both front windows kept getting stuck. Next there was a recall because upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure caused the inflator to explode. Next the check engine light kept coming on after having my car serviced, I was told it had electrical issues. In February 2022, I start having issues later that year the engine completely FAILED!! It is a very beautiful car but DO NOT BUY this car!! it will stop in the middle of driving!!! Yes, Volkswagen has mastered the art of making beautiful car interiors, but it ends there, and they will not take accountability and do right by its consumers, very disappointed needless to say.Review fromAngela V

1 starI leased 2 Jetta's and both had repair issues. One was recalled and I never got the new part before turning the car in. The other broke down twice in the first 2 years. I had to leave the car at the dealership and they expected me to rent another car so I called Volkswagen of America and complained. They called the dealership to get me a loaner vehicle. When I turned in my second Jetta I bought brand new tires the same day I turned the car in yet I received a bill with the cost of new tires included. So I had to call Volkswagen Credit- they said the email with the receipt for the new tires was lost. Honestly, the way Volkswagen handles customers issues is so unprofessional.Review fromAnwesh V

1 starI purchased 2023 ID 4 in Dec 2022. I had an issue with bumper. Bumper was swollen/Bulged from inside to out. Took it to dealer and they are not sure what must have caused as there is no collision and no scratches or anything other then bulge out. Dealer is telling it is unique and requested the ** for bumper repair. But ** declined it telling that it was casued by outside influence. Dealer expected to be covered as it clearly shows bumper is bulged and no apperence of collision or scratches. Dealer provided all the photos to ** and they can't do anything. Dealer asked me to reach to ** and escalte it to **. I called the ** and they escalted it. But VM saying it is not covered as it was determined to be caused by outside influence. ****** agreed to cover half the cost to fix it as goodwill. I agreed to it as i dont have other option. I was so confused and disappoitment that i have to spend with out any physical damange. I will never buy ** again. I thought they are good company as it is europe and stick to values. This will be my car from ** and will never recommend to any one.Review fromRavi j

1 starThey managed to delete my review. I am shocked google let's that happen. Anyway, I will not give up. Will keep re-posting this for everyone to see the incompetence of vw.
I had my Id4 stop on me while driving 5 times in a couple of months, 3 times on the freeway. I have given my car for servicing every time. thrice at Herman cook vw and twice at Kearny mesa vw. I think 4/5 times all they did was recalibrate the parts and change nothing(or may be they did, I can't remember, but the 5th time they didn't replace any parts), once(4th time) they changed some parts and still did not help. Now, the car is returned and I am so scared of when it's gonna stop next, always drive on the right lane so I can get to the shoulder. vw on the whole has terrible customer service and id4 would be the worst car to buy, even decades old salvaged used car would be safer than id4. Oh, and as a bonus I had to pay extra for towing a car under warranty as I am more than 10 miles from vw store.
Don't just pretend to listen and care about the customer, try really doing it.
It's a life threatening situation I am dealing with my car stopping this frequently on the freeway. Keeping it for 2 weeks and just recalibrating without being able to find any issues is inexcusable.Review fromRachelle L

1 starI recently leased a car through VW in Ventura CA and have had the worst experience!!!!! Five days after driving off the lot my window chip from a rock but i should of been covered since I purchased the extra platinum protection package through the finance department from Adriana Navarro. The SAME DAY i got the chip i called VW and got an appointment the next day to have it fixed and planned to pay for the window with the additional insurance i purchase since it was covered. Turns out Adriana Navarro went back into the system and changed my protection package to a lower tier after i signed, dated and left VW. Thank goodness i had my paperwork which showed what i signed for and VW was able to fix this mix-up but in doing so i was turned away from getting my window fixed until it showed in the system. They said that they would reach out to me in a few days to reschedule my appt. A few days had passed and they NEVER REACH OUT and now my chip has grown to a crack. After i had to do all the work and make multiple phone calls i was able to bring my car back down again to fix the window, almost ONE MONTH after the original appointment. When dropping off my car to the service department they took one look at it and said it was no longer covered under the platinum package. I asked to talk to a manager since it was fixable under the protection plan when we brought it in the first time but was turned away due to incompetence on VW’s end. Unfortunately for the last 2 months now since my window chip, i have yet to have ANY manager from the VW branch call me regarding this matter. i have called repeatedly for weeks and anytime i get ahold of someone I'm told that they had informed a manger and i should get a call back which i never do. This has been the worst customer service we have ever experienced and is still on going. I believe VW thinks I'm going to drop this matter if they don't call me back, which is a joke. I shouldn't have to wait months for a phone call!!!!!Review fromMax M

1 starCar is great, the people are awful.
3 cars(yes I know maybe I should stop buying them) from them and so many issues. From selling me a certified preowned car that had body damage(not supposed to and significantly impacted value when trading in) to failing to register my second vehicle, to the third which they registered to the wrong address and took months to find a replacement windshield for my car. The real joke was customer “care” who did exactly the opposite. Took more than 48 hours to hear back when I was told it would be within the next 24, when I finally got ahold of my “agent” she kept cutting me short and told me she would have to hang up if I kept talking, she didn’t allow me to even tell her what was going on. When I finally got to speak she would cut me off and not let me speak and didn’t hear my concern at all. They told me all they could do was “inquire” on my request. When she got short with me I asked to speak to someone else or another agent which I never was able to. So one damaged car sold, one registration failed, one registration done wrong, and a windshield that took 6 tries and multiple months to locate. Again I love the car but the people that work for this company are beyond abysmal.Review fromAshley A

1 starVery bad customer service. Not helpful not all for customer service. I called to get a copy of my payment history for my GAP coverage after I was told everything would be send in. However, they was missing the payment history no biggie. I called 800
4284034 (Edgar Customer Service Representative) very rude and unprofessional. I ask for a fax of the information. He had an attitude so I asked for a manager. Than I was told there no manager available. I would have to get a call back in 24/48hours. Okay, so I than asked how long will it take for this fax because I’m in a public place. I was than told 24/48hours ??. I than asked to be transferred to another Rep because his response was outrageous. And was able to get her to send a copy over to GAP right away.
I’m so happy I’m done with VW. I will never buy the cheap and bad customer service car again. Mad customer.Review fromDavey J

1 starATTENTION ALL VOLKSWAGEN AUTO GROUT CUSTOMERS, BUYERS AND OWNERS
I have a urgent message that message is that Volkswagen Auto Group who runs/Audi/Bentley/Porsche and Lamborghini simply do not care about the safety or their vehicles and discriminates on customers. Like others who are complaining I am also outraged and the auctions and discrimination and profiling on VW Behalf. To start I urgently needed electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs when my vehicle needed it most. Event though my vehicle needed urgent repairs I feel VW and it's partners refuse to assist me do to the complexion of my skin... Some turned me away others assured me my Vehicle was operating greatly and others said I would not be able to afford repairs. Urgent repairs were needed because of this issue a fire started in my Vehicle and someone was hurt. VW Auto Group and its partners are crooks and should be responsible for my vehicle repairs...
