Thriveworks does not care about their clients! I set up a payment plan of $230/month but continue to get random charges of $600 and $140 with no knowledge or explanation. Every time I call, their billing department transfers me in circles. This last time I spoke with Ailyn ** and she basically told me to talk to my insurance company because these charges "were not her problem." Her attitude and lack of professionalism demonstrate that Thriveworks hires unqualified personnel. Terrible experience and they just want your money!Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

Hi Blanca, this is the complete opposite of the experience we want anyone to have at Thriveworks. It's our goal to make sure every client has a positive experience at our practice, and the experience you've described with billing sounds really frustrating. It’s clear that we really fell short. We'd like to hear more about what happened. Would you consider reaching out to ***********************?Review fromKathryn S

Their billing practices are outrageously opaque. They do not provide itemized invoices or receipts, and you can't view past or pending charges or payment methods on their extremely limited billing function on their website. I love my therapist but I have to stop seeing him because they overcharged me $155 and I had no idea until I spent an hour on the phone with them just to get an itemized receipt of payments I'd made. I don't know how this isn't illegal.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

I was told my sessions would be around $40 after insurance. In just a couple months they told me I owed them $900 and wanted it all up front!! Now I don't trust them to deal with them doing this again so now I lose my therapist & will still be forced to pay them money I shouldn't owe. They couldn't have possibly been taking out payments correctly!! I do not recommend them!!!Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

They told us that our session would be $30 per session after insurance was applied. They never applied any insurance and instead sent us a bill for $395. For everyone that received the same bait and switch, just know that the BBB really does nothing so we also need to report Thriveworks to Google Ads so we can warn others before they get scammed too.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

They stole several hundreds of dollars from me and haven't returned all of it. I have several therapy appointments where the therapists don't show. I'm still waiting for my $155 to be returned but I am getting the run around. I'd love to give them zero stars.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

If I could have left zero stars I would. I reached out for therapy in a time of need and this company decided to take advantage of my family by taking out $2900 from my account! At the time a debit card was given because you can’t move forward with an appointment. Even though I asked if my HSA card be given and they stated no. There was duel insurance provided and NOT ONCE was it filed. I requested a supervisor of at least over 20 times and was told repeatedly over a total of 4 different calls that a supervisor is in a meeting. AGAIN FOUR DIFFERENT PHONE CALLS. Some way they tried to justify that that the charges were legitimate, when i explained what they were doing was malpractice and illegal the last rep stated that the “higher ups” would be giving me a call. I asked for a reference number and no reference number could be given on each call. I will be starting a chargeback to my bank immediately and canceling whatever information they may have.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

I started seeing a counselor through this company in January. I gave them my insurance and they said I'd be covered. I gave them a credit card to have on file just in case. After five visits, they charged my card without letting me know. With the type of insurance I have, they were not supposed to have charged me for services.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

The corporate side of Thriveworks is very poorly run from the standpoint of customer service. This has nothing to do with the clinicians. Reaching an appropriate person is next to impossible, Changing appointments is very difficult. I sent an email to my clinician 11 minutes past the 48 hour deadline time for rescheduling. The first person required proof (their words not mine) that I sent an email and when I showed proof of sending an email, they told me that I sent it 11 minutes too late to change the appointment. I requested to speak with a supervisor and when they called me back they too told me that I sent the email 11 minutes too late. Furthermore, when I confronted them on the poor policy for a therapeutic counseling company, the "supervisor" agreed with me and then told me that it was not their problem and that I should have sent the email sooner.
I cannot recommend using Thriveworks, not because of their therapists, but because of the overall company's customer service approach to clients. The corporate side does not have the interest of the clients in mind, only money.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

absolutely horrific company. i wish i never went through with using their services. i went to three sessions-- two medication management and one intake meeting-- all online. my med management provider actually never even refilled my prescription during our second session, so the next part of all this is even more frustrating... i was told my sessions would be covered by people at my insurance company. i was then billed $985 for the sessions. it has been over two months now and i have been thrown around from department to department with very minimal answers. i'm actually on hold right now as i write this lol. apparently they will be refunding me $777 of the $985 because one of the claims is "still processing" with my insurance despite being told multiple times by my insurance that they never received a claim for that date of service. my question now is if i hadn't called, would they have ever issued the refund? because i keep getting emails saying i'm being charged $20 copays for sessions that literally took place last year... also they don't provide call reference numbers which is just... super sketchy in my opinion.
super ironic that a mental health company would cause this much stress and anxiety for its customers. if you were considering thriveworks, run in the other direction and find a different provider.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC
