      My first intake appointment had to be canceled, and the family member who was also attending was unexpectedly hospitalized for an aggressive pneumonia. I was not able to get ahold of anyone for weeks and when I finally do, I am told to submit discharge papers in order to avoid the $135 late fee. I submit them and spend an hour on hold for them to tell me the documentation is not sufficient. The family member was in the hospital for several months with this infection, and therefore, the date is past the appointment. I am STILL on hold asking for a supervisor and have not been granted one as the system is experiencing "updates." DO NOT make an appointment with Thriveworks.

      I have Anxiety issues due to two chronic diseases. Thriveworks requests 48 hour cancellation. If not you will be billed for a missed session. I understand this policy.
      However,I had a COPD Flare UP the day before. All I was able to do was give them at least 24 hour notice.I keep on getting billed for this session. I sent them three emails indicating that I have no way of knowing when a Flare UP will happen. Makes no difference to them I keep getting bills.
      All they care about is the money and not the welfare of their patients.
      Needless to say I am no longer going to them for counseling.

      Terrible customer service. I drove 30 minutes to a scheduled appointment, arrived 10 minutes early and after waiting 30 minutes in a cold hallway no one showed up or answered the door. I called customer service and they offered up no help nor were they willing to provide answers or compensation. If you are seeking counseling this is not the place to go stay far away!!!

      I have never received services from this agency. I was charged $135 fraudulently after cancelling an appointment with 3 days notice. My therapist canceled my first appointment at the time of the appointment. She rescheduled me, and I decided I wasn’t happy with the experience, and cancelled. I’ve never seen a therapist, followed all the rules, and received no services. I was charged $135. I called several times, and even emailed the support line. I never received an email outside of a ticket number. The phone calls ended in hours of frustration after being transferred and put on hold for 2 hours each time. Finally, I got in touch with someone helpful. She stated I would not be charged. The next day, I received the $135 charge. I called the billing department and they had it in their notes, and still refused to reverse the charge. I reported fraud to my bank.

      Awful customer service, very bad system
      I booked a session online and the system showed I can cancel the appointment without penalty.
      However, they still chargef me $135 penalty fee and said there is nothing they can do since clinician asked them to charge me. I don't know why I need to take this responsibility if there system showed no penalty. They wouldn't willing to reschedule and insist to charge me for the penalty. worst customer ever. This company should help people dealing with depression and mental problem but all they have done is make my depression getting worse!!!!!!!

      Horrible billing . Do not use this company if your vlaue your time. Theropist was great but will never use this company again. They incorrectly charged me , refunded me after a fight and then automatically deducted from my account again.

      I told the therapist that I have Complex PTSD. In our 1st session she told me in detail about both of her adopted daughters major traumas. I froze, but had to stop her. Afterwards I have had bad dreams from her re-traumatizing me. She's obviously unprofessional and lacking in education. I reached out several times to Thriveworks to complain. NONE of their posted numbers allow patients to contact anyone directly or to leave messages. I've sent emails and tried contacting via their website - no replies at all.

      Just as many have already said, the largest issue is with the billing department. It feels intentional on their part. They allegedly don't have anyone who can speak to you immediately in regards to your issue. Instead, they lie and say someone will call. As soon as there is a class-action, I'll be jumping on board. I love our therapist, but everything else is horrible.

      This company financially scammed my wife and I. When we called, looking for help, they told us that our insurance covered everything 100%. This was a lie. It turns out, the systems they use to check coverage does not accurately check with your insurance what is actually covered, if it even bothers to check at all. I'm not sure if this is negligence by incompetence, or on purpose. It is by blind luck that I was able to discover that we were not covered at all for our sessions by the 4th visit, and multiple random charges to my credit card later which should never have existed. I was advised on at least two occasions to do things which resulted in my account inflicting more charges. I was even charged a co-pay amount which does not exist on my insurance for virtual visits as well as for cancellations that never happened. This company is a scam. These are the worst kind of people. Each billing department representative I spoke to gave conflicting information about coverage and billing, each one contradicting the next. If you are an individual looking for help, I implore you to look elsewhere. When I confronted a manager about how my insurance was explained to me on my intake call, they essentially called me a liar. Do yourself a favor, look anywhere else for help. Do not trust this company.

      PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS. I started seeing a therapist through Thriveworks this year. Asked them to let me know how much I would be paying per session. They kept saying "we filed with your insurance and will let you know". After a few sessions and not getting any answers, I decided to cancel until they could give me information. Then I received an invoice for $890. I called and let them know that my insurance had changed and to file with them and then I would pay what I was responsible for. They went ahead and withdrew $890 from my checking account WITHOUT LETTING ME KNOW AND RIGHT AFTER SENDING THE INVOICE. This was half my mortgage payment. I'm a single mom of two kids, trying to make ends meet. I signed up because life is really hard right now and I need to be here for my kids. To help me cope with the stress and pressure coming at me in all directions. They did the complete opposite and now I'm so disheartened. Where am I going to find the rest of the money to pay my mortgage? I have excellent credit and would've paid them back in a couple of months. But not like this, with no warning and not allowing me to prepare financially. This is criminal. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM! I will be posting everywhere I can so at least I can help prevent this happening to anyone else.
