I loved my therapist Nakeisha ***** but I had technical difficulties over the weekend with power outages. Upon trying to reschedule my missed call I was informed I'd be billed $135 for the missed appointment. I was disconnected multiple times trying to reschedule and was hung up on twice after waiting 2 hours to speak to Billing since they couldn't hear me. I have a family of 4 and I can't afford to pay for technical difficulties if it were to happen again in the future. I don't recommend anyone use Thriveworks for emotional health. Just trying to speak with a representative is doing more damage than any good with this business.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

This business did not bill my insurance even though photocopies of the card was given and proof of active insurance coverage was provided . They took money from my account without providing a bill/statement. There is also no bill/statement on line to review. I sent numerous emails and made numerous calls, none of which were responded to. there is also no way to remove a card from the website. Very questionable business!!

Please beware this business provides therapy but they don't disclose the therapists are in training. They bill your insurance using another therapist name "supervisor" but you never meet the supervisor.
1. If you miss an appointment, they state the charge is 99.00 but they charge 199.
2. If you lose your insurance (I did when I turned 26 and came off my parents' insurance) and they didn't take my new insurance. The charge is 250. They get a credit card up front and charged $250. FOR SINGLE SESSION. The insurance paid 110. per session. I had one extra session and rather than have me pay the 110. they took the 250. I called their billing and they won't budge on the 250. charge.
3. This is not a reputable organization, no empathy with billing, very rude when you call.
BE AWARE CHANCES ARE YOU ARE GETTING A THERAPIST IN TRAINING FOR EXHORBANT RATES. DO NOT GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD ABOVE ALL ELSE !Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC

This place honestly sucks, under the cancelation policy, it says no where of being charged 135.00 dollars if you leave mid-way during the appointment and I have a screenshot of it aswell. I called and argued with your team saying that they stand behind it and I told them do not charge my card on file and that I'm not paying you because I didn't break that policy and its bogus. What do you do, you end up charging my card anyway after I said not to which is ILLEGAL. You guys shouldn't be a company at all. Absolutely love the therapist we see! Except for 8 appointments in the beginning, our insurance wasn’t even being charged so we were paying completely out of pocket. Next, they all of a sudden started billing insurance and it was being covered. Out of no where, we were being pulling out of network and owe $1000 and have overdrafted our account. Absolutely ridiculous and shady. They continue to keep taking money from our account. You’re charging us $250 for insurance to not cover anything (when you actually decide to bill insurance) when self pay is cheaper! Had an appointment never came, noted it as a NO SHOW, to charge me. 2nd customer representative accused me at joining at 5:37 this is the worst place to do business all they want to do is charge you! This morning I received a call from the office stating that they were trying to charge my card for a $99 fee. The lady said that it was a charge for a no show, when I clearly joined the meeting. I called back later this evening and spoke to the office manager Colby about this situation and she was very rude. After I asked for her full name and she refused to give it to me. I am a college student working two jobs to get by and these sessions are being covered by my insurance. Looking at all these reviews with people who have had the same or similar experiences as me is very disappointing. My actual therapist is great. This company? Not so much. Not only do they have a confusing website, with multiple accounts for patients to access that apparently do not link together, their financial team is suspect as all get out.
I was notified BY MY THERAPIST that the financial team reached out to THEM to tell me I needed to fix my card on file. I logged in and fixed it, and thought that was that. Apparently not. Apparently that wasn't the *correct* account, despite it being the one their website logs me into directly via a link I get sent to me in email (e.g. you put in your email address, and they send you a login link rather than having you put in a password).
Well, I found out AGAIN from my therapist that there were still issues...to the tune of $891!!!!! Not once was I contacted directly by the company to tell me there was a problem. And what's more, when I spoke to someone via email, they asked me to give me my CC information to them via email to resolve the issue (note: that is not legal).

My overall experience was unpleasant; you should consider that you are working with people's mental health. The solution cannot be only to change the professional.
I filed a complaint, and this is the only answer they gave me; I really do not agree with the way I was treated as a patient; I can not believe that I have to pay for an hour of therapy and receive only 20 minutes of it, that they canceled my appointment at the exact moment I was starting it or that I spoke to them and asked the therapists about a personal matter in which I feel uncomfortable, and they answered something totally different from what I was talking about, saying they were not even paying attention to me.
I am a mental health professional, and this is entirely disrespectful and unethical to patients; this service can be very harmful to people. The experience with this service was totally disastrous, is all I can say.Thriveworks Administrative Services, LLC
