Their social media team has expressly implemented measures to restrict, or otherwise penalize, consumers who write honest reviews on their Facebook page. The aforementioned implementations violate 15 U.S.C. § 45b under the Consumer Review Fairness Act. Do NOT bank with these individuals.

Navy federal has so many random fees and charges. I had tried to transfer some money to my cash app when my account had funds, navy federal did not push the transaction until days later. Then charged me $29 for it declining. Because of that charge my account was in the negatives. I had sent money over to cover the original charge, they then charged the fee again when I had just transferred money to cover the fee. I had called customer services and they stated they will not waive both fees. My account had the funds at the time of the transfers so these fees were absolutely ridiculous. Both these fees should be waived.

Navy Federal has falsely ruined my credit they put on my credit that I owe them $82. They cannot find out when they put it on my credit. I spoke with several supervisors and managers and they have been quite rude to me said we cannot see your credit information and we are sorry it has been a mistake but you’re going to have to contact three credit bureau, Trans Union, Equifax, and experience to habit resolved. I said you surely can take within seconds and run my credit but you can’t take seconds and remove the $82 off my credit rolling hurt my credit pretty bad I lost a lot of points on my credit almost 200 points for this and it was an error on their part and I’m penalized for it such business practice

I’m currently deployed. I (was) am closing on a house today and needed to wire the closing fees to my attorney. I called navy federal days in advance to verify I would be able to wire the funds via phone call and they assured me I would be able to. Today I called to wire the funds to my attorney for closing and they refused to do the wire due to me not being able to receive a phone call from them (while still currently on the phone with them) for “extra security”. They have my voice recognition, confirmed my verbal password, address, email, transaction history, phone number, and last 4 of my social, and still refused to wire the closing fees to my attorney.

They are designed to work with service members and veterans, but I was refused a wire transfer of my own money due to poor phone service while deployed in a 3rd world country. They said I could “request the wire in writing which would take several days”

Thanks to Navy Federals stellar costumer service (joking) and absolute lack of ability to service deployed customers my contract on closing the property has defaulted.

Thanks a lot Navy Fed! I would highly recommend using USAA instead!

Security department dropped the ball. I am in NY for a wedding. I went to withdraw money for a wedding gift. It was declined. I spoke to a security representative and verified everything they needed. They said they would remove the block. I went to make the withdrawal. It was denied. I called customer service. The block was not removed. Now it's going to be two hours for me to speak to someone from security for the second time today.

With the reviews I'm reading not sure this is going to matter. My daughter's friend, Chris Brasewell, who is a vet, has finally been able to get off the streets. He has a disability check that he receives. A couple of weeks ago, there was fraud on his card. He had it canceled. When he spoke to a representative they said he didn't answer his security questions correct so he had to have my daughter drive him an hour & a half to Belle Chase. These people would not accept his Louisiana ID. Said it was fraud. They needed his military documents. So no release of his money. He went to the VA, got an ID, went back & they treated him worst. Harassed him. Called him a liar. Berated him & refused to release his money. This kid has PTSD bad. He left there in tears. His rent is due in a few days. He has no money to eat. He needs a fridge for his new place. How can this be happening?

This is a law suit that we will take on. No wonder our vets commit suicide at an alarming rate. Especially when the same people entrusted to take care of them are horrible. Sad thing is that the cop inside the building treated Chris like a criminal. Talked down to him in a way that was insulting.

If there are any persons that would like to be included in the class action law suit, please leave a message here.

Refinanced a vehicle here and paid on it for 1-1/2years before the original lien holder repossessed this vehicle. They state that it is my problem that navy federal doesn’t solve people’s personal problems. So thanks to this I have no vehicle the same vehicle is a charge off on my credit twice totaling approximately $70,000. The other company company who repossessed has sold this vehicle at auction and still holds me accountable for $30,000 that I owe and still don’t have a vehicle for it I am a marine combat veteran who spent a combined 3-1/2 years overseas and the support I get from navy federal is being laughed at, hung up on, refused to transfer me to the correct department, told there is no corporate office or legal team and that that they aren’t responsible for me not being able to get my life together. Yet they never printed the pay off statement to begin with never owned rights to the collateral being a ram 1500 however took my money for 1-1/2 years and never realized that they never paid any money out just taking my money. If I did pay-off the truck with navy federal they don’t even have a title or anything to give me for it
