This place is disgusting and down right unprofessional…They basically snatch a check from my hands and wrote fraud on it.:. I literally should’ve sued when I had the chance! They told me they couldn’t give it back because they didn’t want a fraud check floating around! Rebecca and shantelle were really rude and are probably racist… I called to place a complaint I was told I would be given a call back and that they will look into things I never heard from them again I will not be doing anything but bills through them and alway give a low quality review and response I recommend no one goes here

We opened joint husband being primary to savings, checking and Cd. Afterwards he opened credit card to consolidate bills, with me being authorized user. He passed away unexpectedly. They told me I wasn’t responsible for credit card unless I use it (which I didn’t).They closed that account and his side of the other accounts. I had access to the other account through my side. Survivor support said I have to close those accounts out and open them in my name. I had to deal with a lot in the last 3 months. I seen 3 letters in my account to get get ahold of survivor support. Before I did I went 90 miles to do what she told me to do. They said I would have to pay off the credit card because he was primary holder. I told them what I was told. They started messing with my accounts. They closed out the CDs. It was no where to be seen. They then started messing with the savings account, numbers was going down. They then told me I could pay 1/2 of credit card and they’ll release the rest of the money. They stated to me I would have 15 days to pay half or they’ll take out the full amount and mail me the check for the balance. My advice to anyone. Don’t open any other accounts with them ( loans, credit cards ) they steel you dry!!! If you so read section 5 a and b on paper that comes with your credit card on it. They don’t care a bit about how long you serviced in the military and how long you fought to get your disability back pay. They are heartless!!!!

I'm only giving 1 star because zero is not an option. I have been banking with them for about 2 years and have cashed the same check from the same employer every week and for some reason over the last couple months they have been placing my checks on security holds stating they had reason to believe the check would not get paid... they are currently holding money from me right now on a check that I deposited on Thursday it is now Monday so I called them to figure out what was going on and low and behold it's another security hold and I won't receive my money until Wednesday almost a full week after the deposit yet it's been confirmed that the money was pulled from my bosses account on Friday so they have the money the check has been paid to them but they won't clear it into my account this was my final straw with them they've done this to me several times as of this coming Wednesday I will not longer be a customer of navy federals and I will strongly advise anyone I talk to to never use this credit union there about as sorry as they come

UNETHICAL!!! THIS BANK IS THE MOST TERRIBLE BANK IN THE WORLD, THEY EVEN SHUT OFF YOUR DEBIT CARDS WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT, YOU CAN'T REMOVE FLAG ACCOUNTS YOU CAN'T REMOVE ANY OF THE FLAGS EVER, YOU CAN'T EVER MAKE A DIGITAL TRANSACTION WITH THE DEBIT CARD BECAUSE IT'S ALWAYS GETS LOCKED OUT, THEY LITERALLY JUST MADE A TRANSACTION WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION TO PULL MONEY THE LAST BIT OF MONEY THAT I'VE EVER HAD FOR FORMULA AND DIAPERS FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH FOR MY FIVE KIDS. THEY TOOK THE MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION THEY HAVE LOCKED MY DEBIT CARD FOUR TIMES IN THE LAST 30 DAYS BECAUSE OF A DIGITAL TRANSACTION ONLINE.

Came in last year to get joint ownership accounts with my son. I asked the teller specifically, " If I write a check and my checking account does not have sufficient funds, does Navy Federal Credit Union transfer money to my account from my son's account to cover the check?"
The teller's answer was , "Yes."
Well, it turned out that the teller's answer was a lie. Navy Federal canceled a check to my credit card holders.
I called several times to ask why Navy Federal Credit Union sent my credit card payment back to my credit card business. Each time I called a Navy Federal agent, the representatives sounded more confused about my question. If a bank does not have a clear policy regarding joint bank accounts , then why take it out on a client. Navy Federal should have cleared the check and called me later to explain the correct procedures on using joint accounts.

Not only has Navy Federal Credit Union caused my credit score to be lowered...I will now be charged late fees by my credit card company.

They will have charges go through on random dates and deposits will take ridiculously long so you end up paying return check fees. What a scam of a bank. I will be switching banks immediately.

NFCU doesn’t care about customer service whatsoever. To them members are just a number that increases their purchasing power. Advertised APRs are false and customer service is nonexistent. Even when a member is in dire need to access their own funds NFCU could care less.
