Horrible 6 week experience! I DO NOT recommend Navy Federal's mortgage services. My wife and I each have excellent credit and solid financials. We found a home we liked and what should have been an easy straightforward process was a long drawn out 6 week mess until I fired them. In total we went through 4 processors. Nobody ever knew what was going on. Communication with us was sporadic at best. At 6 weeks they were asking for details about items I turned in during week one. This kept going on and on. I spoke with a supervisor, Jeremie, who was no help. All he could do was blame us for things they hadn't taken care of. Luckily we had an understanding seller who didn't drop us. I was able to ditch NFCU and use a local mortgage counselor. He had us in the house at 2 weeks! Plus he had to correct the filing of my disability on the loan packet that Navy Federal screwed up. That nearly cost me 8k for the VA funding fee that wouldn't have been waived. All in all, very bad experience with Navy Federal. I closed my accounts with them.

Arrived to NFCU after I was told to acquire certain docs. After collecting docs I was introduced to Associate at NFCU name Kim. Kim was very unprofessional and accused me of trying to scam and fraud my own account. When I could not remember my previous address instantly she told me it was "suspicious". I told her I did not appreciate such accusations and did not appreciate her demeanor because she was acting as if I was irritating her or her patience was short. I asked to see her supervisor or any one other than Kim. Kim tried to hold on to my driver's license after I told her I no longer wanted to do any business with her. I had to DEMAND my driver's license three times, which made other customers in the bank begin to pay attention. My experience with NFCU was very unwelcoming and Kim was not professional on no level of what NFCU would represent. I spoke with her manager, another typical "likeness"/Karen and she only justified an accuse of Kim's behavior. I went to Grovetown a whole 30 minutes up the road and experienced a total 180degree professional experience. A nice lady by the name of Mrs. A***** was very patient at NFCU in Grovetown and walked me through the steps I needed to take to update everything on my account. Mrs. A***** was so helpful and I appreciate her making a very terrible morning experience at NFCU on Robert C. Daniel Pkwy in Augusta GA, a much better one. I'm thankful I did not give up because I was about to but thank God I met Mrs. A***** and she helped me out. Navy Federal Credit Union needs more pleasant workers like Mrs. A*****.

I have been contacting Navy for over a year. While in Florida during Covid, my calls were being routed to Pensacola Florida. I would be placed on hold for hours at a time and dealing with anxiety while taking care of son whom had a breakdown from being jumped in college and attempting suicide. Their reps were so unknowledgeable and totally rude and condescending. I’ve been with Navy since 2003, when I took pride in opening an account at the State Department working for Colin Powell. Navy Federal showed me that they don’t take pride or respect in their customers. they used to have awesome customer service. The reps would laugh and hang up the phone and showed no concern for how long you waited in line for someone to help. They would tell me that Supervisor will call me back in Florida and they would never call back. It was drastically different than living in Virginia and speak into Virginia reps. I definitely felt like I was in a racist state when I called them for help in Florida.

I was banned from speaking to anyone with the company and going into a location for making complaints about bad reps and how I was being treated over the phone. I’ve sent letters, emails and emessages to this company to no avail. This is so wrong. I wanted to stay with the credit union instead of going back to a bank. I am extremely disappointed in Navy Federal, and I think I was being discriminated against, especially in the racist state of Florida, which is where I was born. I live in Maryland currently.

Navy Federal provides the absolute worst mortgage experience EVER! They will definitely mislead you and drag out the mortgage process and surprise you with undisclosed fees! The rate match is also misleading and a LIE!
      Find another leader!!

I feel navy fed slow played my loan to not only make more money off of the increased interest rate, but they had no interest in assisting me with initial questions. I have been dealing with attempts to secure this loan starting in MAY.
Your members are NOT the mission and if so navy is your correct name for failing missions is unacceptable in any other military branch!
Navy fed has taken so long and needed all the information multiple times that even my sellers are not using navy fed any longer.
So going forward I will ensure everyone I greet will know navy feds inability to take care of or assist it’s members with their financial needs.

They will refuse to get customers their money back when fraudulent companies take our monies. They will only get your money if it's $5 or $10. Anything higher than $100 they will do anything not resolve your disputes even if you submit documents. This bank is terrible and I will not recommend them to Servicemembers veterans or anyone at all. I have switched all of my banking to a new one.

In March 2017 , I initially applied for an account with Navy Federal. They denied me with no explanation or letter as to why I was denied. I’ve applied 2017,2019,2021,2022 and,2023. In May 2023, I reapplied. They confirmation stated I needed to hand in verifying documents for my identity . When I went into the branch a week later, Merica, a rep at 1928 e highland phoenix said she check me in and I would be next. 20 minutes went by and in that time 3 other customers walked in and needed to speak to a representative. I waited over an hour before I walked out. within that time , there was no communication and Merica saw the other customers before me. I called the customer service line but not one person addressed my concerns. I decided to go into the branch again on May 25, 2023 to speak with the branch manager. I spoke with Justin and he stated they use a outside agency named ETS and they denied me. I called ETS , the Agent could not find me in his system and asked me for my information to build a profile I refused. I called Justin Woboski(branch manager) back and now he stated the back office just needs my identity and mailing address confirmed. I handed him my ss card, VA ID, DL, proof of residency, up to this day, I have not received any notification as to opening my account. I’ve called the customer service line, they blame the branch , I go into the branch, they treat me as if I’m not worthy to branch at a bank that was build for me. I have emails, records, recorded calls , numerous supervisors names and this is now the second time I’ve handed Navy federal my personal information and it is exposed to them for them to not deal with me.
