I’ve been a member for over 25 years now…never missed a payment on anything. I’m now in a situation where everything I own has essentially been taken from me, which I’ve been fighting through the legal system, including my vehicle that’s financed through them. BY LAW, they have every right to help me fight to get it back…yet they just tell me it’s “my responsibility” and to pay it?! I even told them if they want to repossess it, go get it (I put $50k down, so there’s PLENTY of equity in it)…instead, they wait a couple months and then take everything in our account (now we can’t pay ANY of our bills), and put it in the negative by THOUSANDS! So much for caring about service members and Veterans…21 of those 25 years I was active duty as well…I don’t recommend ANYONE trust them with your money!!! Just like the people in this country now, all is well and good until you need help…and then they forget about all the good things you’ve done and only care about “getting theirs”….

For the 2nd time they have released my check and took a payment knowing I had a payment setup to come out already without telling me and then my mortgage would come out and overdraft my account which would report to my credit bureau and then I would have to call back the next day to have the payments reversed! LACK OF KNOWLEDGE by representatives interferes with someone who only gets paid once a month!

Navy federal… "They never had any intention of giving me the home loan; they just wasted my time and around $3000."
"The loan officers never responded on time, and it was never the same person."

"I would like to know if anyone is considering filing a class-action lawsuit against Navy Federal.??

Worst bank to bank with. The collection department sucks they don't work with you when you have no job but are about to start one soon it's like why do I have to complain when it's your job to help.

The absolute worst bank customer service I’ve ever had. They continue to unexpectedly pull money from my bank account account that was closed 10 years ago. I have already paid off the principal on the loan but they continue to take all of my money.

      Megan and Marriane were awful.

Do not open an account with navy federal.

Navy federal is a piece of shit all they like to do is try to get over and overdraft your money. Do not want to give you no loans. And do not recommend nobody to use them. They are piece of shit.

I’ve been a member with Navy Federal Credit Union for 25 years. I bank and have an auto loan with them. I’ve had my loan for 2 years and after all this time they send me an email the day before my birthday telling me they don’t have the title to my car. They told me to call the dealership and DMV. Both told me NFCU is the lien holder and would need to request a copy from the DMV. NFCU is now trying to charge me an additional 18% on my APR when I wasn’t properly informed about the issue, not that I’m able to do anything to fix it since the title is under the name of my bank. I had to speak to 2 different NFCU agents and the first was not helpful whatsoever. The second told me I still have to pay the increased rate even though it was the bank that didn’t do their job properly. I don’t recommend getting an auto loan with them.

I’ve only been a Customer for less than two years, but I find Navy Federal anything but Veteran Friendly. They took over two weeks to get me a denial decision on my mortgage application while two others Veterans United and Rocket got me preapprovals within two “days”. It shouldn’t surprise me they quickly denied my auto loan too. I briefly filed for bankruptcy when I lost my job during covid, but had the court voluntarily dismiss it when I got a new job. My credit score is 700+, good enough for all other Lenders, but not Navy Federal. Save your time!

Had a fraudulent account set up. Contacted NFCU about it. Rep told me it will be handled. It is six months later, and I still have an account with them (fraudulent), and still receive account statements and solicitations for additional accounts and services. I've asked them to remove the account and stop contacting me. They chose not to. I don't know how a place legally operates like this. Its damn near harassment. I had to contact my credit bureau to notify them that anything by this institution is fraudulent.

As a Disabled Veteran I Regret banking with this company. This Bank Could Care Less about The Veterans and Service Members Who Bank With Them! They Tell You One Thing and When You Drive Almost an Hour Just to get to the Branch and Walk In as Black Woman Veteran Now Everything They Said Changed due to a Miracle New Policy that started ….. now watch this in October(then they said ) that stared in November…… No It Started when You saw I wasn’t white, so with no other options because I drove so far on a Saturday I deposited a large check from A settlement and Had to leave the bank Broke with no food and praying I didn’t run out of gas….. and Not One Single Employee said wait we don’t treat humans like this and assisted me and Yes I filed a complaint and Yes I am looking for a new bank Because I want a Bank that Actually Cares about its members Not just making Flyers to pretend to care…..Explain to me again how a bank That has no Integrity, Loyalty Or Honesty can work with The Armed Forces and It’s Veterans….. I will Never ever recommend anyone to put their accounts in Navy Federal and Yes They Can Bet Their Entire Stock This Veteran is going to a bank That appreciates and Respects its Customers Calling the Va today to change my direct deposits and as soon as my check is released to me I am moving it all (Cash Withdrawal in person and Closing This account….. AND NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SO CALLED BANK OF SERVICE MEMBERS…… BANK OF WE HAVE DIFFERENT RULES FOR MEMBERS DEPENDING ON SKIN TONE AND EVERY WITNESS I HAVE (4 Different Races) ALL SAID WOW WHY DID EVERYTHING THAT WAS SAID FRIDAY OVER THE PHONE COMPLETELY CHANGE WHEN I ARRIVED AT THE LOCATION (RICHLANDS NC) that explains it all and Not One Black Employee was in the Building when I was there, Do any even work in this Back Woods Location? Corporate Office will be hearing from me today as soon as they open ……Signed Angry Veteran
