Horrible credit Union. Force payed an account by pulling all my money that was deposited into my account out of my account. I have been a member for 14 years + and the minute you are going through a rough patch they don’t care about what you’re going through. The loan counselor I spoke with was very rude. What a nightmare of a bank to deal with. I closed my account and will mot deal with them anymore in the future

Been a loyal customer for years. Until my wife got scammed out of $3000 and they didn’t work with us at all. Instead they are charging us fees for returned checks and taking all the money that gets deposited into my account. Very disappointing how they treat their customers. Will be closing my accounts soon. We’ve been a victim of fraud and instead of working with us they’ve taken all of our money to where we can’t pay bills. Shame on you Navy federal. Worst credit Union by far.

If you are a black human being with a disability you WILL be discriminated against! I suffered a head injury and was still trying to take care of my obligations & the white male refused to assist. Cassie a representative refused to transfer me to her supervisor and intentionally disconnected the call. Nobody has any contact information to get to corporate. I am legally disabled and yet still trying to pay but they want to ruin the credit of black Americans to prevent us from getting ahead. The federal trade commission and attorney general should really investigate their financial practices. There is no way we have the same story over and over! Their practices are illegal & discriminatory. After reading other comments it’s time to file a class action!

Navy Federal used to be very customer oriented. No more. I’m not wealthy. I might even by described as working poor. NFCU has made it very difficult to bank there. Due to all their fees, and denying a claim with an unauthorized charge, not accepting a check from my state for a tax overpayment. It’s ridiculous. I am actually losing money banking there. I’m looking for another credit union at this point. They are not trying to retain their members, they are pushing them out the door.

By far the worst experience with the Home Equity loan. Was cleared to close, then because the loan took too long it had to be resubmitted. Went to a different underwriter who tried to use my business vehicle as part of my personal DTI. Called them out on it and then they requested the proof which was sent in. Underwriter then start asking for unnecessary documentation like request the deed to a home that is not part of the deal. Then denied my loan and said that my primary residence is not my primary, it’s an investment property. Sent all documentation proving primary residency and underwriter was not interested. I was told that the home that I am currently living in is an investment property not my primary residence. Even the manager was lost of words as to why I was denied. Three months wasted on this mess, wish there was something that could be done. Definitely looks like underwriter didn’t like to be called out for being wrong so looked for a reason to deny.

Nothing like having someone ask you repeatedly why you wish to purchase a second home within the neighborhood you live and be DENIED because you simply wish to care for an ailing relative. Great Job NavyFed...Your Un-Professionalism and Discriminating Actions costs my Family Thousands of Dollars...Although I can't verify the authenticity of this thread of complaints, it looks to me that based on the comments posted this type of derogative treatment is Common. "Members are the Mission...???" Wrong!!!

They finally put an ATM near me. Alot of times they don't take cash deposits. This is extremely inconvenient. If I can't put money into my account my bills are late then I have to pay a fee on top of the overdraft they charge for my account going over. I have never experienced this BS at any other bank I honestly hate these people.

After being a victim of identity theft and having multiple unauthorized charges made to my credit card, Navy Federal completed their total investigation in less than 3 days and denied the claim. I am closing my account and perusing legal action against Navy Federal. DONT BANK HERE THERE THEY ARE WORTHLESS

If you are self employed do not bother applying for a mortgage loan or any other loan. 800 fica 30% down 20 year company with certified tax return, and they disregarded my income to ZERO that right ZERO, after per approval, per discussions , i was told that yes we average income as long as you've been self employed for more then two years. Their amateurs, liars, and they will discriminate against you if your self employed. 20 yeas on the job debt free with 800 plus fico but according to NF my income is ZERO and can not be use for credit, you can pay tax on the money earned but not good enough for NF. i have been a member for 10 years and over 1mm in the accounts and they treated me like i was 15 year old kid with a newspaper route. this is their idea of our members are the mission THE BIGGEST JOCK EVER. I would drew my money, and got approved 24 hours with the same criteria and a real bank. good buy NF RUN RUN RUN. if i can leave ZERO i would
I hope no one has to go through this experience with these Liars and amateurs for top to bottum.

Underhand practices hidden fees of $150 because I didn't qualify for overdraft protection
