I went and got approved for an auto loan. I have a pretty decent credit score (in the 700s), a 100% on time payment history, and a low debt to income ratio. They gave me a 16+% rate on my loan! Absolute robbery. They claim to take care of and work to provide opportunities for active duty but actually to the opposite. DO NOT USE.

They have debited my savings account for 140000 and I'm still waiting for the return of my retirement account. How can nfcu do this?. Horrible institution and employees. Money sent to them from Discover. Now 3/4 of my retirement account is missing. Can you believe this?

I feel Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) discriminates against minority members. I've been fighting them for 2 months regarding a fraud claim. They contacted me about suspicious activity on my account and I immediately contacted them and informed them that I did not make these transactions. I've reached out to the President and he has yet to respond to any of my emails. **** has not communicated with me in weeks. They have taken $1,057.88 dollars from me for something I did not do. My account was compromised and they're treating me like a liar and a criminal. I've been a member with **** for over 25 years. I feel at this point that this is blatant racism.

The fallacy this company uses to prevent you access to your account is called fraud protection two part verification process. Both is an inconvenience for the customer. There’s absolutely no way you can verify who on the other side of the phone. This company refuses to give you any means to verify who they are, Denying me access to my account it’s not convenient nor is it customer friendly. The fraud is not your concern I Only asked you to receive my deposit to cover my transactions, Not enforced a policy that cannot be enforced that denies me access to my . Navy Federal credit Union should be closed and sued for the inconvenience. It puts on military members and Former military members inconvenience and harassment to access the personal money disguise a verification and fraud

BLUF: BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL OR STRAIT UP AVOID NFCU!After getting preapproved for a mortgage by another company, I submitted an accepted offer for a house. I then went mortgage shopping with 8 companies for best rates. All the others were very strait forward with rates and fees... then there was Navy Federal Credit Union. First, if you go to their website, they list "rates as low as xxx", which is very similar to other businesses. I expected this, as that rate can obviously change since they are assuming best case credit score, income to debt ration, etc. What I didn't expect is what you find in the fine print. Their best case score ASSUMES YOU ALSO PAY A 1% ORIGINATION FEE. This massive red flag should have stopped me right there.Second, and far worse, was that you had to start (and read start, not submit) an initial application to even get a quote. I started this, only supplying the bare minimum to estimate my credit worthiness to get a page that provided my estimated rate assuming the information I gave was correct. I never went further or submitted my application. I start getting bombarded by their mortgage loan department to finish my application, which I ignore since I am going with another company. Via email, I receive a notification that my preapproval letter is ready, which I thought was weird considering the fact I never asked for one or even finished the application. Weeks later, I finally tell them to stop calling since I am no longer even in need of a mortgage. It's then that they insist I owe them $85 to pay for a credit score pull... after calling them to inquire why the h*** they even pulled it since I never finished the application, the agent said they do this in case the borrower has to submit a preapproval during the weekend when the office is closed... again WITHOUT MY CONSENT.STAY AWAY

I applied for a debt consolidation loan on 10/24 for 23k. I received a counter offer at $17120. I added a co signer to still try to get the 23k. They denied me. I called and asked them to verify the information bc at intake for the cosigner, the *** acted like she couldn't hear. She entered multiple wrong facts. We were denied. So then I call back and say ok, I'll take the amount they offered me. They said they couldn't locate the original loan even though I was told that I could still utilize the offer from them. So then I did another solo application and it was immediately denied. So my question is: how am I denied when you just offered me 17k? They say that they will send a letter in the mail to explain w the appeal instructions, but I haven't received it yet.

This company is an absolute joke. I saw their advertised rates for 5.59%. My credit profile is "Excellent" with a score of 786. When they approved the loan they came back with a *****% rate. I asked the question as to what constitutes the *****% when they are showing that I have an Excellent credit rating, they could not tell me any information. I firmly believe this company is false advertising rates and do not actually offer the "As low as" rates.I would steer clear of this company at all cost.

Stick with **** had I known they charge an overdraft fee of $30 for each and every transaction returned I wouldnt have switched. The person I spoke to was able to waive one but not the other ones. Especially if your pay day is only off by one day..its insane. Plenty of banks stopped over draft fees, go with those banks instead ??

Navy Federal Credit union is the worst institution I have ever worked with. They allowed a loan to be opened in our name fraudulently using a false employer. They did not verify information before allowing it to happen and when it was stolen from us they did absolutely nothing to help. They didn’t take any responsibility for it and they have NO safeguards for scams. Unbelievably unhelpful. Despite a police report and 2 appeals regarding the fraudulent loan they say they did nothing wrong. They will it help you. Never would recommend them to anyone. Rude and unhelpful
