      This is a complete scam company and the *** needs to investigate this companies policies the SEC and FDIC needs to check the out. I suggest to anyone else who sees this after me to pursue a lawsuit hopefully we would get a class action. They take your deposit and start giving you the run around. The staffs are ratchet more than ******* staffs and they pass you around on the phone and you can hear them joking in the background.In ******* 2024 this people have to be kidding me.

      My older card with them is a little over 6 years old. The highest my score has been was 816, which got me the *** treatment when I purchased a newer car. That loan has me down to the 750s, but Im not upset. Credit is about utilization, and this card opened the door for that. The only times *** had to call them were to figure out how to raise my limit and activate my new card. Open Sky, thanks for the opportunities, thanks for treating people with respect. Youre doing amazing, *******!

      I've had both a secured and unsecured card with Open Sky. Company policy on holds for things like rental car deposits, is to hold the money in a pending state for 30 calendar days AFTER, the rental company releases their hold. During this time, the money on hold is not available to the customer. How is that legal? Seems that I'm actually loaning Open Sky money to use for them to invest and earn interest during the time they are holding my funds. I pay a fees for the use of the card, should I not receive $ when the company earns off my $?Also, customer service is horrible. Most agents I've encountered behave as if the customer is an interruption to their work vs. the reason their jobs exists.I rated 2 vs 1 star as you can build credit using the card responsibility. But f you have other options for credit cards, you may want to carefully consider those instead.

      I am a disabled vet which makes this a complaint not a review but I will start. I have mailed a letter to close my account due to Open SKy taking money and not releasing it. I filed through Navy Federal to retrieve my money back and the company is refusing to close the account. I sent off correspondence from UPS with a Notary Stamp the company is discriminating as my way of communication to close my account by mail, phone and fax is being ignored

      ** STOLE MY DEPOSIT FOR 2 YEARS AND HAVE NOT RETURNED IT**
      What started as a credit building journey turned into a credit builder scam. I entrusted OpenSky w its a credit card deposit initial amount of $1000 to begin building credit. As I further trusted them I increased my deposit to $1500. At one point I almost went ahead and increased my deposit further to $5000. Thank the universe something just made me not do it. For 2 years straight I made all my payments ON TIME, maybe just one was slightly late at the most but overall I was near PERFECT. Then out of the blue BOOM they close my account for no reason. At first I was devastated because I wanted to keep building my credit but ultimately I accepted it and was doing fine getting accepted with normal credit companies. BUT, Open Sky would not return my security deposit of $1500. Their customer service often has HOURS of waits, no e-mail, no chat, no text. They have sort of PO BOX for mail and a long long customer service wait nightmare. For years I have waited to get this security deposit back being tossed from one department to the next. Only today have I discovered I have to talk to the "Carson S*********" department (Brand New Information) to attempt to get my security deposit back. I've had enough. These crooks should not be allowed to operate! They prey on people needing to build credit then steal their deposit. Give me back my security deposit OpenSky!

      Good afternoon,
      I am Donavan K***** and I opened my first credit card with OpenSky a few months ago. Everything was great and I was even able to up credit limit after a few months. Everything was smooth. I never missed a payment. This is my money that I put into this. That being said I had a $517 dispute with them on Dec.6th. I reported it immediately to them and supplied the documents and they said 2 weeks with that but couldn't take up to 60 days. Ok I called 3 times a week and I received all the mail. I followed all the rules. Then Everytime I called back to check up they had a excuse and I had to go to the store to fax more documents. They made me do this over 7 times and 50 fax's ! More money I had to spend noy to mention now I have all these fees. So I started to complain after over month and half of this. They started hanging up me and being rude. I personally have NEVER had multiple people treat me like that before. Since all of this has happened my phone was turned off and I lost my car which also caused me to miss my family during the holidays. I have everything documented ! I did nothing wrong. I was trying to build my credit for a better life. Now I'm broke and I have no more help from anyone. The government help I received and lawyer advice told me to reach out to you because your fund them. They refuse to get me to a supervisor. Is this even a real company? I'm in California and this breaks so many laws but I'm just trying to get the money back so we can move on. They even closed they case and told me they will re open it ? What ?!?!

      OpenSky credit card plus. I’ve had my account for less than a month and this company is already showing me signs of failure. For 1 I accidentally purchased a yearly subscription with ********* which I realized less than 2 hours after my mistake so I contacted ********* and explained my honest mistake and they immediately issued me a refund. So OpenSky instead of dropping the charge during processing a few nights ago posted the charge to my account. I had to call the customer service number and tell the rude representative what happened and her response was I’d have to wait until my next billing cycle to see the credit hit my account. Mind everyone the credit was already pending on my online account. Stupid idiots. My second company about this so called credit card company is a looked at my account tonight and realized my first payment is due February 2nd which is 15 days away. I’m not in any way disputing any of my charges but don’t give me a current balance and a due date but when I click on the statement button to go through my account details and review my account statement it tells me no statement is currently available on my account. When I get my billing statement I’m paying my account balance in full closing my account and requesting a refund of my security deposit. I’m not playing with a credit card who obviously doesn’t have their ducks in a row.

      Like others have stated, the ruin your credit as opposed to helping. They make payments difficult, even impossible at times. They wouldn't accept a $5 payment (my balance amount), causing late payments, or none at all. My credit went from 760 to 523 because they blocked my $5 payment two months in a row. This is by the the biggest scam on the market. Avoid at all costs. I've heard if a debit card that builds credit, and will look into it. I mention that so others can look into it too, and avoid this scam.

      Open Sky has been one of my worse experiences yet to date when it comes to credit cards, they hit my account for late payments even though they had lied about sending the card, so within the first 2 months I had a negative card account in my credit report, they were untruthful if they remove these late payments off my account I may give them a chance but again they never answer the phone. their customer service is terrible for a credit card company, seems they are ruining the customer's credit business rather than helping them shame on your company for folks that are trying to get their credit in order!
