  *************************** of ******** LLC was recommended by Angie's List. to cement flagstone to a wall. He said he was an experienced *****. He's just a handyman, but I didn't know this until later. We agreed on $650 to do the job in three days. He demanded $300 deposit, more than the 10% that is legally required. Day 1 he ran out of material to prep. He did not. Day 2 he claimed his truck battery died. Day 3 he cemented 10 stones & said it would take another day or two and another $250 a day to finish. I refused to pay more than contracted, so he quit. He is supposed to know how much it will cost, how much cement is needed for the job, how to arrange the stones, and how long it will take to do. He did not know any of these things until AFTER he started. Terrible job and con artist.

  If I could rate this it would be a -10. Contractor I hired for a minor job, who had 5star ratings, was the worst. He overcharged, did a shoddy job, worked 3.5 hours, with a minimum of supplies. (1 fence post, 2 slates, and foam and quickcrete to stabalize 2 posts. $800!! Then they took two 4x4's that were used to brace the fence before they started work, and said they took them as a courtesy to 'clean up'. Well they cleaned up all right. Their name is Band of Brothers, listed on Angies's list. I think they need to change their name to Band of Robbers.

  They are a modern day mob extorting small business for monetary gain. They are the scum of the earth! I have never wanted a company to go bankrupt more in my life than I do with ***** leads aka home advisor. They charged me a for bad leads multiple times and when I would try and get in the app. They would say they were having technical issues and to come back later. While on the back end there charging me for leads I couldnt see nor would they let me see.

  Made appointment got two people very confusing one guy said the other was cancelled when he was no. We cancelled with Angi and was charged $224. Angi is a rip off.

  Got a call from angies list one day after i had opened an a small business llc. they told me about possible leads, said they would help me grow my business. asked me if i would advertise with them as an painter . i said no i am a furniture artist. they didnt know what that was after explaining they told me that for $300 a month they could get me leads they could bring customers right to my door. i told him that i didnt have that money & when i was able i would call them back. a few minute later they called back. told me if i wanted they could take a credit card to hold my spot because some supervisor said they wouldnt charge the card for 30 days. he guranteed me that he had looked & there where customers in my area looking for exactly what i did & they were willing to bring their furniture to me! i fell for it . but i told him i could give him a card that had a zero balance on it because i had just bought supplies. he said that is fine we wont run your card for 30 days & by then you can put the money on it from the customers we send you. i agreed. gave him my card. a few minutes later i get a text from my card company telling me 3 payemnets had been ran on my card for double the agreed fee. so like 600+ 3times! i called the card company & asked them if i could report fraud. they said yes. sent me a new card. But angies list repeatedly calls me. they want the rest of the contract money. i never registered my bussiness with them ..they never sent me one lead!! & never told me i was under a year contract. it has been over a ******** get multiple calls a week from mulitiple numbers asking if we can talk. i tell them stop calling me! i block the numbers but they keep getting calls if i could i would give them a minus 5 star review

  Please do not use this company, after several weeks of them constantly harassing me by calling my business phone I contacted them to initiate a do not call request. After SPEAKING TO ******* and trying to get him to stop over talking me I asked him if he let me speak I can give him the number to stop calling. He was rude and telling me to hurry the h*** up when giving him the phone number. Im going to make it my personal responsibility to contact the BBB and any other agency to be the thorn in there side that they have been to me and my business. Little do they know I have people to contact every agency to ensure they wont harass anyone else. They can thank ******* for his shrewdness and worthless customer service. H*** probably always be a receptionist and not a real business owner. He should be fired by the way!! DO NOT ISE THIS SERVICE

  They were to come put up a garden shed in my backyard sent the wrong contractor s and when they finally sent me the right one he said he couldn't do it cause it's a 2 person job ,I'm elderly and they would not return my money .RUN NEVER USE THEM

  I have a small business doing home innovations and I started it out working with Angie's list/***** leads was horrible from the beginning every lead that would come in there will be a small fee I don't mind everyone Getting a commission for jobs but when jobs arent being landed they are still taking the commission some of the leads have Disconnected phone numbers or not in service pleaded with the representatives to get some type of partial credit sometimes I would receive them sometimes I would not There is also a lot of competition for every lead that comes in so you're not the only one that those clients are seeing On the ***** lead's side it is a marketing firm which they call you direct and say the benefit with us coming on the marketing side is that the leads that we send to you are direct and no one else will be competing for that lead I thought that sounded great and I was on board they said it is a year contract Let's start off with $2500 a month and I said that is way too much got them down $500 a month and every lead I started getting Have other competitors and not enough leads per month some didn't pick up the phone some didn't know if they wanted to do the work but either way I was still being charged $500 a month I've lost thousands of dollars on the marketing side With ***** leads and also with angie's list ************ is not made to help small businesses grow rather than to take their money while they Receive the jobs or not Their system is set up for their benefit receiving commission on every single job they send to the small business stay away from Angie's list *****'s lead And the long run you will lose more money with them they are now taking me to collections for not paying last 2 months They definitely played a role in hurting my business as I was starting it up

  A complete ripoff. They collect your credit card information upfront then charge you full cost plus an annual membership fee...even if the person who they sent to do your job doesn't actually do the work. They charged me hundreds of dollars for someone to come to my home to fix the compressor in my full-size upright freezer. Every day, several times per day, I kept getting different text messages stating that a different person would be coming. Then on the day of the appointment, just minutes before he was supposed to arrive I received another text from **** that he would not be coming. This was after I had taken time off and was waiting for him to show up. **** automatically rescheduled the appointment to several days later. The person who showed up said that he did not bring the tools needed to install the new compressor. Before I hired, I explained in detail in my service request that the compressor needs to be changed and that I bought a new replacement compressor from the manufacturer. He KNEW before he came exactly what needed to be done. What kind of contractor shows up for a job without the needed tools? He offered to tape the compressor connections in place, though it was clear that the connections needed to be welded. He left and the freezer was not repaired, yet **** charged my card the full amount of the service charges. I tried contacting their customer service. It is a nightmare trying to connect with anyone there, Their website is designed to make doing so difficult. When I finally did it was via a chat script that was partially AI and various people who clearly do not understand the English language very well, and were of no help. From all the one-star reviews I see here I see that I am not the only one who was ripped off by this company. They will not refund my money so I am going to ask the bank to do a chargeback. DO NOT use this company unless you want to lose your money.
