  Complaint: I ordered something from wayfair who uses Angie's list. Needless to say I gave **** two chances to fulfill my service and they failed both times. No one wver showed up to complete the work. I then asked for a refund since they were unable to fulfill. 2 months later 6 calls later and 3 lies later I still never received my funds back for a service that was NEVER COMPLETED. Angie's list should be put out of business immediately. Horrible place. They commit fraud and take money. I would give no stars if ai could ****

  I got a roofing company from Angie's List. The roofing company ***********. They did poor work. At first the project looked fine, then less than six months pieces were coming down. I called Angie's List. I was referred 6 times. *****'s does not stand behind anything. I got nothing but I run around.

  I think this place is horrible I would never suggest using them. We used them to cone out and fix our mower it has now been 5 mths. Of fighting g because no o e ever showed but we still got charged 400 dollars. They are horrible and lie

  There are several issues and nothing redeemable. Please read all the way through as I report them in sequence. 1. The search criteria is inaccurate. It pulls out one word of your request and builds a filter around that word. 2. After creating another search, I selected 3 landscape designers. (The highest amount of reviews was 17 which was disappointing as I would not think this was an unusual category and there would be many reviews in my highly populated area. 3. None of the companies contacted me. 4. I received a message from ****'s list that if no one has reached out to contact them and they could help me. I called and someone from another country picked up and did not know how to help me. I was placed on hold for 55 minutes. Surprisingly someone did come back to tell me the supervisor was not available they would have them call me back. 5. It has now been 24 hours and no one has reached out. Very disappointing all the way around.

  Complaint: Contractors or handyman visiting our home in error. We are having people show up at our house saying they have been requested to do work. We have never requested anyone come to our property via Angis list

  Consumer Beware!!! The *********, ********* List referred us to was AS extremely dishonest and manipulative AS ******** ************* This was the very first time we used ******** List to hire a ********* to repair our kitchen. We signed a contract agreement, and paid this ********* half down of the money he wanted to start the job. After the first day on the job, he completely lied about everything we discussed that he was going to do based on our contract agreement. We ended up firing the ********* and complaining to ******** List about his dishonesty and poor work ethics. They said they would help us to get a PORTION of our first payment back from the ********* because he DID NOT complete any work that was worth what we paid him before we fired him due to his breach in the contract. After lengthy conversations and reassurance they could help us, ******** List failed to do anything but cause us extra hardship with this problem, and even stopped returning our phone calls. They basically added salt to our wounds causing us extra grief and aggravation, and a lot of money lost. DO NOT, DO NOT trust ******** List.

  False advertising sent me a handyman when I asked for Electrician. Told me I have more experience as I do electrical at work. ****** for 20 minute talk no service.Said ****** minimum Billed full price

  As contractor: Do Not use ***** LIST i was told there was a year contract and a fee for canceling early! I said no I cant do that than I was promise if ***** list did not work out for me I was going to leave without paying any fee so I gave it a chance! Out of 20+ customers numbers I receive I was only able to communicate with 2 yes 2 potential customers the rest were fake customers for 2 months! Yes I paid $500 for 2 months! I emailed them to cancel and explain the situation and was told no I needed to pay the fee ** it did not matter what I was told prior to sign in with ***** list Now they are wanting to send the cancellation fee to collection!

  Angies list had me sign up for $288 for a year told me that they were going to take anywhere from $11-$80 for every job that I got but did not tell me that they were going to take money for every job that they sent and therefore they took $1085 out of the account without me knowing And therefore I was at a business and card got declined so embarrassing. This is definitely a rip off. And its a shame I have to at least give one star.

  I book someone to mow a small yard, schedule at 8:00 in the morning. At 12:00 he still wasnt there. I drove past at 8:00,11:00, 12:00. He sent a message at 9:45am. He had left his phone in a Lyft ride the night before. He was on his way. When I did go by at 1:30 he was there. Had mowed the front yard. His car was parked at neighbors house. I heard mower going in backyard. I came back 15 minutes later. Looked in backyard. No one mowing. I went back to my car saw him come to front yard. Then he moved his car into the driveway. He took a picture of front of house. Then he got in the car and stayed there. I left came back at 3:20. He was asleep in his car. I woke him up. He said, he was waiting for someone to come home!! That the job had been cancelled!! That it wasnt right. I said, I will look into that. Tell me about his phone, car not working, had to borrow a car. Had 2 other jobs cancel, talked about all the things he could work on, etc. I stayed there till he left. When I checked the backyard it was only a third complete!! Totally not happy and I was scared. Plus I have have been around people like this all if my almost 50 years of working.!! **** wanted to reschedule with someone else. I cancelled it! Im totally done.
