  I was searching for a vendor on Angis list and posted the job request only to be harassed for weeks from vendors.I deleted the job request the day after I posted it because I was being bombarded by phone calls. I filed a complaint against specific vendors and they are now telling **** theyve never called me.Ive had vendors literally call me and tell me they wont remove my details.**** promised deletion of my account and info but Im still being contacted.This company has caused nothing but frustration and stress for me. I would not recommend it to anyone.

  I applied to the pro app I received a text from the company and after I stated I was not interested I received 7 more text calling me a clown and threatening me..This is how the treat people.i would definitely stay away from the company

  I ordered a media center which needed 2 tech to assembly it. I was not told that when I payed for the assembly service. One tech came at 2pm my appointment time, while the other tech texts saying he was running late. At 2:15 I received a text a canceled my appointment which I didn't. Called ***** list for more information to be told nothing and disregard my concerns. 2 days later with a rescheduled about to have the something done.

  I made an appointment to have someone come and install a water filtration system in my house. Wasn't a huge job, small unit that fits under the sink. Appointment was set for Tuesday August 15th. ***** doing the work tells me 20 minutes before appointment he's is running behind and he cannot come. ****** off to the following Saturday, then a contacts me after he is suppose to be here saying something came up and he cannot come. We make another appt for 830 the following Tuesday, he shows up, after telling me at 7am he will be leaving shortly, 1.5 hours late. again with the excuses. He tells me that he cannot afford to go to the hardware store to pick up some things he needs to do the installation. I give him the money. He goes to get what he needs, comes back, then proceeds to tell me that what he got didn't work, and he needed to go back to hardware store. Then after arriving here 4 hours earlier, he says he's done and scoots out of here before telling me how to change the filters which he said he would do. Tells me before hurriedly going that they was a "little" water on the floor. After he runs out of here, I go to check out the water on the floor, and my carpet is soaked, like water squishing out soaked. I call ****, get the run around and told them they need to get someone here pronto. They could only do the next day. I'm waiting for the guy to come the next day and after 1.5 hours after appointment time, 3pm he texted me after I tracked him down, that he thought that the appt was cancelled and he couldn't get a text to ****. I paid with a credit card and **** had my money on the original day of the 1st appointment.

  TLDR: customer service is poor, bait and switch tactics Total scam. It's a pattern with **** that they'll quote a low price for a service, and then once the pro comes out they'll tell you it's going to cost more.I've attempted to book three services with ****. The first contractor never showed. The second time they started the project, and half way through they said their time was up and it would take another $375 to complete it. So a project I was quoted $350 was only 1/2 done and I still had to pay a total of $725. When I called to complain I was routed to someone clearly in *****, they wouldn't help me. When I asked to speak with the manager, the manager hung up on me. The final time someone came out to complete a project. I gave an accurate description of the project, and even pictures of my house. When they got here they said it's going to cost more to complete the project than quoted by ****. No, you will not get me again. I'll never use **** again.

  I asked for a refrigerator repairman and they sent me a mechanic he even told me he wasnt a refrigerator repairman he wasnt even here one hour and said he would just be charging me to guess at the project He didnt even put the parts back where they were Angies list charged me 350 dollars for nothing

  Worst company to work with and a total scam! The plumber they sent to my house was not a plumber. Took two faucets apart and couldnt get them properly back together but tried to leave immediately after turning on the water. Im judicially stood in his way so that he had to see the leaks and damage done. Filed an insurance claim and waiting for them to go after Angies list for all of the water damage done to my kitchen, bathroom and finished basement. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO VETTING OF CONTRACTORS, NO HELP FOR YOU ONCE ONE OF THEIR SO CALLED CONTRACTORS CAISES DAMAGE TO YOUR HOME. Stay away as they do way more harm than good and in no way are there to help home owners.

  I have "used" Angie's List 4 times and each time was a disaster! First time hung TV and broke it. Second Time paid $650 to have fence gate repaired. Did a horrible job, still not repaired. 3rd time had handyman assemble bookcases. Wont stay closed, are crooked. This time, rescheduled me 4 times to assemble a ****** Bed I purchased at Wayfair for over $2500. Every time I contact them they "promise" the next time they will show up and assemble the bed. Its too late! My company will arrive from **********, before the bed is assembled. Wayfair is picking the bed up and paying the return shipping. ***** is offering nothing! I have gone round and round with them on other projects with their "Happy Guaranty" to no avail. They do absolutely nothing to help you. I never got a dime returned from them even after giving them the Handymans name and number because they had no record of it. Convenient? or Scam? I recommend if you need a handy man to put something together you use ANYONE but *****. It seems to be a fluke if they do anything right. While someone is making a lot of money off of trusting people. Someone should shut this company down!!!

  My refrigerator was reading at 64F, and I signed up for the pre-paid service for refrigeration repair service with Angie's List. I scheduled the 3-hrs appointment the following day for 8 am. I get a call from the Technician stating he will be running late and warned me that they will reschedule, but he will make the appointment later in the day. All what he explained happened. I pre-paid for 3 hrs. of service at $225 + $29.95 annual fee. He didn't show up until 6 pm. He told me to cancel the rescheduled appointment and showed me how to do it. I also cancelled the pre-paid service amount. I was trusting that he is telling me this is how they conduct the normal course of business. I had never signed up for the pre-paid service before. He said it was the motor of the 2018 GE French door refrigerator and he would perform re-wiring for the freezer too for $800. I was desperate to have a refrigerator in August so I Cashed App him the $800 for the repairs. Needless to say, the next day, the refrigerator was reading at 71F and all he did was turn down the freezer temperature. It's a scam!!! I call Angie's List to try to get at least 1/2 my money back, but they said I paid him outside the agreement. How would I know that? Angie's List is supposed to be known for background checks, satisfactory business practices. However, it's a SCAM. Don't use Angie's List for these pre-paid services.
