They keep adding random charges. I had a payment go through like a week ago and they deleted that and charged me again. You cant even deposit more than $999 through mobile deposit. This is a terrible bank. I went to sofi and love it! Don't use capital one they steal from you!! I'll be in court if I have to this is ridiculous! They do extremely sketchy things like changing dates on payments and everything. Stay far away forever!!!!!!

I would never recommend ******* one to anyone. This is my oldest account with lowest amount of credit available. Doesn't even come close to my other credit card accounts. Yet everytime I've asked for an increase I'm denied. Customer for over 15 years. Unacceptable.

I made a purchase with my ****** card that I later canceled. Even though I was told the amount had been refunded, it hadn't been, and I started getting late payment notices. I reached out to let them know that it had been canceled, and they assured me it'd be taken care of. Next thing you know, I got an alert from ********** that the late charge was now on my credit report, causing my score to drop 21 points. After two weeks, it still hasn't been resolved, and when I call, they are 'still working on it'. Terrible...

I was never informed that my tax forms were online so therefore never received a form for the cd I had for year 2023. I since then have been audited by the *** about this amount on interest on my cd. I have requested the form by email but the link to verify did not work, I have asked to send it by mail but it is a ridiculous 7-10 business days not counting holidays who does that. I received the form and they sent the wrong year. This is the worse bank I have ever dealt with in my life. They dont accommodate for shit!!!!!! Now I have wait another 7-10 days for the correct form again. Bottom line dont ever use this bank THEY SUCK!!!

Holding my card hostage. I provided all the information required and still no response. Pay my bill on time since 2016 customer service is horrible. This has been going on for a month with no responsibility or resolution

I am a nurse who works over full time. I need to make a wire transfer. Capital one is trying to steal my money or making this impossible for me. The wire transfer people said they called me when I first tried. They did not (I do not see it in my missed calls record). And they cancellled the wire transfer just a couple hours after submitting (canceled it at 11 AM). I either have bad service in some part of the hospital and didnt get the call or they didnt call me and I may not be able answer the call. I have called 5 times, capital one refuses to transfer me to the wire transfer people when I am available to verify the transfer. I have given my information to multiple people but they say the wire transfer people may need to call me. I cant just answer a phone when Im with a patient, but I do work with great people, and if capital one would just work with me and schedule a call I could work with that or make sure I get there message before canceling the wire or let me talk to them when I am available. But capital one refuses to work with there customers. A ********************** that does not care to work with there customers is a pretty crappy one. If we could just set a time even, or give me a chance to call back. But no. Thats too much too ask them. My time, my hard earned money, is not important. Thanks capital one.

Capital one customer service is some of the most useless and inept customer service I have encountered with a bank. When asked about services related to my banking with them they told me to talk to a credit Bureau despite the fact that what I wanted to get down is in the sole power and jurisdiction of capital one. No amount of taking to a credit bureau can affect my bank account. They also tried telling me to go to a physical location despite not being on in the entire state. that capital one has bought discover, the only bank I actually liked because they have quality customer service is disheartening as it means they may likely devolve to the same low standard bank as capital one.

Despite providing evidence of fraud from a rental company. They still will not rectify the issue and are allowing them to continue fraudulent charges. Capital One is a garbage company. Dont bother using them. No costumer service or protections. All the customer service representatives are from *****. And they dont know American laws, ridiculous.

In April of 2025 I did a refi on my house. When I got the checks to pay off some credit cards, I noticed the one for Capital One was short $785.00 due to a oversight by the mortgage company. I immediately called Capital One and told them what had happened and I suppose nobody there was smart enough to know I was disputing the amount. Instead Capital kept sending me notices that I was late on my payment and charging me fees that shouldn't have been charged under a dispute. After a few weeks of being told I was late on my payments I had to call them back and TELL them I was disputing the charge and they needed to contact the mortgage company which I believed they should have done the first time I called them. They finally did and was paid their $785.00 shortage, but didn't take off the late fees and left me a balance of $60.33 which I told them they shouldn't be charging me if they wanted that they should have charged the mortgage company, actually the fees shouldn't have been charged at all under a dispute! But they charged me anyway! BEWARE Capital One. They are truly money grubbers and will take advantage of you if at all possible. My credit card has remained idle since this experience and don't know if I'll ever use it again without action on their behalf for being such jerks.
