      I had my electric shut off this week, with no notice, due to a past due electric bill from an investment home I sold 4 months ago. I called and found out the reason had to pay a re-connect fee, but my auto pay, which has been in good standing for 7+ years was due to pay the bill in 3 days. All my food in my refirderator is ruined. Milk, yogurt, frozen meats, ice cream, all gone. Beyond ****** and all ******* will say is "I am not arguing with you". I am not arguing, I am simply asking whjy this happended and could you not see that the auto pay was set to pay in 3 freaking days. Send a text, make a call, so many other options than ruining all of the food that needed to stay cold/frozen.

      I am beyond words, but the inordinate number of poor reviews and the low rating only serve as a painful reminder of all we as a family are experiencing at the moment. We closed our electric account one day after the house sold and new owners took over. Sadly, it was also shortly after our mothers death. Dominion Energy closed the account and notified us of a credit that was due. However, rather than refunding us the credit, they pulled not one final bill, but another a month later, despite a credit on the account and the account closure. Innumerable hours (more than 10 at last count) on the phone with representatives, sending sensitive information, death certificates of both my mother and my father, their ***** outlining the executor, etc. all have yielded nothing but an endless loop of phone calls and drama. Somehow they can pull money out of a deceased persons account, but cannot credit it. In a period of mourning, this just adds insult to injury. And despite seeking a conversation with someone at the company who actually has the authority to resolve the matter, we keep getting the run around. I am just grateful I no longer live in VA and have to deal with them. But as a matter of principle and in honor of our other and father, we are not willing to just walk away and let them get away with withholding our credit, which by reading other's reviews, seem to suggest they routinely do.

      I have had to contact dominion energy over 10 times within the past 3 months because they keep charging me an extra $86 to all my bills because of a security deposit THAT IVE ALREADY PAID!!! if I could rate lower than one star I would. Im convinced its a bunch of idiots over there that work as NO ONE can get this simple issue resolved and its been MONTHS!!!

      Horrible customer service. ********************** went out at noon *** to a small thunder storm and was told power would be back on between 5 and 8pm. Saw three large Dominion trucks not a mile from the house at 4. Now they are saying they do not know when it will be restored. Entire road is out. I call customer service and there is a dog barking an music playing in the background. I mean no disrespect but the lady didn't have a clue....I suggest a good generator.

      Dominion will keep your deposit. We have been waiting for the security deposit to be refunded. It was supposed to happen after 12 months, and its been 20 months now.Ive been calling non-stop for the past few months and each time they say it will be credited that same week. We are still waiting!

      I had an employee come to my house and ask if I wanted the smart meter, I said no and they left. They waited till I left then trespassed and put the meter on anyway. The company only sent the notice a couple of days before and never sent any paperwork for us to review our options. The company and their employ were very unprofessional and no apology is enough. I will not change my mind or my review. They are pathetic...

      Four months after I moved I got an automated call that my account was past due. I paid my bill in full on May 24, 2023. I called customer service to straighten out this problem but couldn't get customer service rep. to help so she transferred me to the dispute department (she wouldn't give me direct number) where I was placed on hold for 1-1/2 hours. I'm sorry this is just not acceptable and is just borderline fraud. What the hell?

      Dominion Energy's web site is NOT user friendly in fact it is absolutely user unfriendly. I have tried unsuccessfully to log on approximately 48 times with no success. When I called Dominion Energy customer service they attempted to fix the problem with no success. Then they put me on hold for web site support for over an hour and then they never answered. It is hard to believe anyone in management at the company knows how VERY POOR the service is.

      Terrible customer service access. Can't login to my account. Can't get through to a person on the customer service phone line to fix this. When I got through to a 'person' they said they couldn't hear me and then said to contact emergency services if it was an emergency. This is completely unacceptable.
