If there was a zero star radlting, this MyeyeDr deserves that. On Dec 2nd, 2024, I had a routine eye exam with Dr. *** ********** at MyEyeDr. in *****************, **. Before I saw the doc, I gave the receptionist all my insurance info and asked her ( Agel) if I have a co-pay. After ***** checked with my insurance, she assured me that I has zero copay. So, I went ahead to see the doc., who was nice. When the service was done, I had to see another employee, whose name I didn't know. I was told, then, that my cost was $65. I was stuned, and I told him that ***** did confirm to me before the visit that I has no copay and asked him what the $65 charge is for. The person then showed me a list of some sort that made no sense to me and forcefully insisted that I had to pay. My response to him was that this is not right for I didn't expect to pay anything, and I don't mind paying it if I was told about it before hand. The person said that what I was told is not correct. WHO SHOULD I BELIEVE? By then, the doc. came out of his office and told the person to make some kind of adjustment. The price came down from $65 to $20, just like that. Was this some king of scheme to rid customers? I wondered. I then paid the $20, so that I can leave their office and wowed to never return back.

Couldnt get in to see my usual eye *** so had an eye exam April 2024 at my eye Dr. at the ********************. In June 2024, I went to fill my prescription for eyeglasses. The technician noted my prescription had changed drastically, so I called the myeyedr. office for an eye re-exam and was told since it was over 30 days, I would have to pay again. I called another myeyedr. office located at ***********, they took me right away, examined my eyes with no charge, and told me I was prescribed the wrong prescription. By then the glasses with the wrong prescription had **me in which I paid for and I had to renew my eyeglass order. In Aug 2024, I received a bill for the April 2024 exam, called my insurance and learned that my eye Dr. did not summit my **rrect personal information, even though I gave them a **py of my ins card. I called the billing ***** proved them the **rrect info to resubmit the bill and to include the out of pocket payment I made that is **vered by my ins to my ins *** In Oct 2024, received another bill and did a **nference call with both the billing **** and my ins ** to ensure **rrect information would be sent for payment. I received again in Nov 2024 another bill, called billing **** again, and am still trying to fix this problem! I need myeyedr. billing to submit **rrected billing amount and information to my ins ** to receive payment, and I want to be reimbursed for payment of glasses with wrong prescription.

I got hoodwinked into buying contact lenses through MyEyeDr at full retail price even though they told me that they price-matched my offers from several very popular contact lens. This is how it went: MyEyeDr tells you to call them before making a contact lens purchase because they'll match the price you find elsewhere. I found the contact lenses at several popular contact lens websites for about 50% less than retail. When I combined that price with my insurance contact lens deductible, my TOTAL cost for the lenses would only be to pay for shipping. I then called my local MyEyeDr office over the phone to see if they'd match the price at the contact lens websites, figuring my purchase would benefit a local busincess. I see that was a major mistake. I was told during the phone conversation that they would essentially match the internet price, and I was told by the MyEyeDr person on the phone that with my insurance deductible, I'd only pay $10 for the contact lenses. I accepted the deal by word of mouth over the phone, which was my mistake. I have been billed by MyEyeDr for the full retail price of the contact lenses and have no recourse. I called their office and they claim that the written deal shows the full retail price and that there was no deal over the phone. I feel like I've been intentionally cheated. Do not purchase contacts directly through MyEyeDr.

I went and got an exam and glasses. I paid the copay of $338 for the exam and glasses after my insurance. I got a bill from them for $60 about a month later. I went to the office and asked them why and they could not tell me why. I called them and they could not tell me why, I just owed that much more. I called my insurance and they said there was no reason for the extra $60, so we did a three way call and the myeye person could not explain why to the insurance agent. So he put the bill on a 60 day hold while they figured it out. I was not contacted in any way in that 60 day period and now I got a new $60 bill like nothing ever happened, no explanation, nothing. I don't know whether to just pay it (probably what they hope for) or start the battle over again. I suggest that no one ever go to them.

Very bad customer service at **** location. Dr ****** is good but buying glasses is pain. They communicate to get your exams and then no communication for pick up. They broke my frame which she suggested that she can replace the ********** looks like they broke the frame during shipping.i felt like they dont care after you pay and pass responsibility to the previous company ***. I am done with this company. Between me and my wife we get three to four pairs of glass glasses every year from them.i guess they are not worried about losing customers.

After 3 attempts they couldn't get my prescription correct. New eye exam, 3 attempts to redo the lenses.... I can still see better with my old glasses. I get vertigo and headaches since the initial pair, those concerns are "ignored." The first redo was chocked up to using the wrong setting on the Pupilometer to measure my eyes, the opticians argued about what setting to use for progressive lenses. I was then told by an optician I would probably have to continue using my old pair for general day to day use at a computer and only use the new pair for distance and reading; after paying for progressives. After the second attempt, another optician was visibly "frustrated" with me when I told him they still weren't any better. Had them redone, still not good. $1000 glasses later (~$550 covered by insurance, $450 by HSA) and I have glasses that are useless.I could go back again, but it's just becoming a waste of my time.

The person at the front desk, allegedly her name is Vee, she told me that since I couldn’t show her a confirmation of my son’s appointment that they placed someone else in the slot. The amount of effort it took for me to make the appointment, take the day off, and get my 11yo there wasn’t even the worst of it. It was that she was so blaise about it and didn’t even check to make sure I had confirmed it or not, and she didn’t even get my name. I was so humiliated that I just left. When I got home and calmed down I looked through my phone and saw that I DID have a confirmation, so this Vee lady had no clue what she was talking about. According to her she tried to call me, but I had no voicemails, no text messages, and when I called the manager they just told me fill out a complaint online. The woman I spoke to afterwards made it sound like she shouldn’t have turned me away (maybe she thought it I had the appointment as opposed to my son) and said that it should not have happened. So why is it okay to just screw with someone’s plans, nonchalantly shrug it off, and just expect me to still want to give you my business? This front desk lady should be ashamed of herself, and I hope that your company does something to avoid them treating people this way by providing some form of sensitivity training, or, better yet, a swift firing. I Promptly left and am never coming back there, taking my business elsewhere. Stop abusing your customers.

The eye drs and staff at the ********** location are excellent, however the corporate practices are horrible. They spam you with appt reminders and if you only confirm via one method instead of all (text, email, phone) they threaten you with turning your appt into a walkin or rescheduling. Yet there are SO MANY open appointments that they clearly need more patients. Im about to pull my whole family from there due to the predatory nature of MyEyeDr, not due to the medical care. This company needs a new CEO & complete overhaul

The worst customer service. First I had to wait over 30 minutes for my appointment. Second then they disturbed the Doctor during my appointment. When I got the prescription is wasn't signed and when I ask for a signature I was told I would have to wait as the Doctor has another patient. Didn't seem to be a problem when I was the patient. When I complained to corporate they reach out for some time but then never called me. As I stated I like the Doctor but I will never come back.
