*****, *****, ****, *****, **************, and **** were all at and around our home over the course of a week long crawl space project. *** worked with a variety of crews over the years on different projects and these guys were by far the most professional Ive had the pleasure of working with. Job site was left clean and tidy at the end of every day, their attention to detail was outstanding - from how they ran cords and pipes to how they finished off the door to the crawl space, ran the sump pump alarm exactly where it made sense to, and generally went above and beyond at every step of the way. They were courteous and polite and kept us up to date. And this was on an absolutely disgusting crawl space - think decomposing critters and the f**** they left behind. Theyre not the cheapest youll ever work with, but you get what you pay for and these guys are worth it. Even our dog loved all of them - and they gave him many a pat.6/5, would hire again.Groundworks, LLC

Hi *****! Wow, we can't thank you enough for the amazing feedback! We're thrilled that the crew's attention to detail and professionalism left a positive impression on you. They always go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect! Dealing with a challenging crawl space is never easy, but we're happy we could handle it with care. And it warms our hearts to hear that even your dog loved having them around! Your kind words mean the world to us.Thank you again, and have a wonderful day! 5 starsJR & Noah from Tarheel Basement Systems came out yesterday to repair a damaged drain line that runs from my crawl space to the outside and away from my house. The damage occurred during a tree removal in my front yard.
JR & Noah were professional, informative, thorough, and courteous.
I have had my system for four years and have not had any problems with the system. I have Annual Service and have not had any customer service problems. I highly recommend Tarheel Basement Systems.Review fromAdam L

1 starI thinks company is the worst i would avoid them by any means. I hired them to install 4 intella jacks and encapsolate my crawl space. They sent two men to do this project. Day 1 they show up at 9:30 immediatly say they have to go to hardware store to get stuff. Get back at 10:30 and go to lunch until 12:30. Start jack hammer 2" thick concrete for jacks and get two holes done and take off at 4:30 because they got an hour drive and he goes to the gym and not going to miss that.
DAY 2 they show back up at 9:30. Again take another 2 and a half lunch and leave at 3:45 because it was hot and they didnt have ac in their truck. But hey they did manage to get the 4 jacks in and partually put foam board up. Called them and asked why they left so early and if they sealed inside from outside elements oh yeah we did that they said. Went and inspected everything and nothing was done as stated. Called and spoke to office about not being happy with the employees work qualities and time management requested another crew but they didnt have one and that they would address the issue when their employees got back.
Day 3 and they didnt show up until 11:45 finished encapsolation and plugged in dehumidfier and left i got out of work which was 5pm.
Overall bad company poor employees bad time management and poor work quality will never use them againReview fromCarla D

1 starPurchased ground works dehumidifier on 5/22. Plus a maintenance plan. These people are hard to get in touch with called numerous times. Had to call and get it serviced plus it wasn’t working. Was told in May 2023 I would have to wait till June. They didn’t seem to care that is wasn’t working. Plus the lady I talked to said I have to understand there were other people who needed there services because of all the rain. What about me!!!! They finally came out 7/11/23. Cleaned it and a few days later I smelled plastic burning and I realized it was from their machine. I turned it off because it had error 6 on the screen. Called 7/17/22. Tried numerous times and finally got through and the man said to turn it off. Which I already did and was told they couldn’t service it till OCTOBER. He said he would put me on the emergency list and talk to his manager. Called again to see if I could talk to some one else and another 20 minutes and the man I told my problem to said he had to connect me to someone else. Got disconnected. What I want is for them to come get this piece of junk and return my money. They do not stand behind there product when you have to wait this long. It is unacceptable. I feel like I paid almost ***** for something that’s is not going to work and and have so many issues with them servicing it. Going to see if I can file a complaint with the ******** ********** ******. I’m done with this company. Horrible customer service

1 starTerrible customer service. Sales guy was great, but concrete lifting repair job was half done. I’ve tried for two weeks to get someone to correct the crappy job. The concrete now has light brown **** looking stains where they used some kind of dyed sand to fill in the cracks. The concrete still has more than an inch difference in height on each side of the crack. The porch still has the same exact separation and slant away from the house. It looks like the only thing they did was put caulk around the area where the porch is supposed to be flush with the house.Review fromkaren s

3 starsA few issues -- started great with the initial interaction. Subsequently, scheduled to have someone come out prior to date to see if we actually needed to tear down a staircase for access. The person never showed up, never called, did not answer text messages. On work day, showed up, seemed to go OK. Their inspector came by -- didn't look at the work inside the house; he only spoke to the workers and left. "Approved" -- we were billed and told everything was done. More than 2 weeks later, someone shows up unexpectedly to inspect -- it was the real inspection by the county. Apparently, *** didn't think it was important to let us know that the actual inspection had yet to be done (but be assured they sent me the bill for completed work). *** did not think it was important to schedule with the homeowner for an inspection. It is summer -- people go on vacation, people may work out of town, etc. NO CONSIDERATION at all. I called *** to ask what was happening (mainly when I had an unexpected person knocking at my door) and they said they had emailed me two days prior. If they had NOTIFIED me that inspection still needed doing, I would have gladly scheduled it. And as you can guess, the real inspector is asking them to come back to fix their work. I had initially given this company benefit of the doubt over the failure to communicate and failure to show for a scheduled appointment. I gave them a very decent review. I really wish now that I had not. I would never have reviewed them had I known the work was not even inspected and finished. In addition to being told that this company charges a lot more than other companies for the same work. I trusted them. Now I do not. 2.5 stars out of 5.Review fromRYAN G

1 starThis has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a contractor, let alone a contractor with such a reputation. The lack of communication, unprofessionalism and execution we dealt with was shocking. We were sold a dream repair and it quickly turned into a nightmare. We needed about 500 sq.ft. of subfloor replaced, due to water damage and black mold spreading on nearly all of the bad flooring. We were guaranteed it would take 3-4 days from the time they started. They didnt show up until 10am day 1, and were gone by 330pm, and took an hour and a half lunch! they were a now show the following day, i wouldnt have even known they werent coming if i didnt make multiple phonecalls to find out where they were. They showed up after 11:30am the following day and once again were gone by 3:30, no shows for the rest of the week leaving us with open floors, exposing the mold and crawlspace that is now full of water because they knocked the float off with the floor debris. Needless to say, after a week with no AC running, My wife, myself and our 3 children could not wait around for them to decide when they can make it back to get our house fixed. The communication, once again, was terrible. We did everything they asked of us to prep for this job, moved all furniture, removed toilets, removed good flooring and baseboards, etc. We were fully prepped and basically moved out the Sunday before the Monday that they started. For such a "reputable" company, and the "premium price tag" that they attached themselves to, we truly expected the dream that our salesman Glen ****** sold us. So either he was lying or he doesn't know that the folks that are supposed to execute the plan, cant plan the build of a lego set, let alone fix a floor.Review fromSteve V

1 starI have tried for 2 days to get someone to answer the phone for a service call because I have flowing water in my basement AFTER an **** ******** ********* installation. No one answers the phone after dialing 4 different numbers listed for this entity. An answering service in Virginia transferred me to a Columbus number . Again no one answered. I keep getting the same recording about how they help me protect my home . NEVER, NEVER have I experienced such a run around after spending thousands of dollars with them.Review fromTony K

2 starsWe had a crawlspace sealed and sump pump installed. Our sales rep was good but the installation crew left a lot to be desired especially for the install price. They wanted to clean up early and so they pulled the drop cloth up early and ruined our carpets with mud. They also had to take off the mounting brackets that secured our sewer stack but didn't resecure it. When I brought it up to their attention they apologized and agreed it was a mistake and instead of fixing it correctly they made it look fixed by shoving the brackets into the newly installed insulation. To this date, they have not fixed the issue even though they agreed to fix it. Unacceptable business practices and now what I paid for is damaged.
