  We contracted a company to fix a
  Foundation and a leaking basement. We spent close to ****** now a 1 1/2 later the water keeps coming in. I have contacted ******** ******, and they came to check it out 2 weeks later. Daniel said they didn't slope the drainage properly, so they have to move the sump pump. Here we are a month later, rain has been bad, and the basement has gotten a good amount of water. When I called to follow up, daniel said they have lost my papers. Are you kidding me!!

  LIES LIES they told LIES, their Company Representative Ethan ***** came to our home and said YES we can fix this and gave us a quote. While he was at our home he did an inspection and made some suggestions (we didnt ask for the inspection but he insisted), all items were not necessary, but we agreed we felt if they were going to be here why not home maintenance etc.
  Ethan ***** told us he would be here to supervise on the day, he was NOT and the men doing the work could not get in contact with him, should have been our first red flag right. My husband had to show a diagram and give the men here details as they had no idea and would have left without doing what was agreed on it was a shambles from start to finish.
  The guys that had turned up proceeded to do the work, all the work except the issue we had needed to be done, they got to that and said WE CANT DO THAT.
  Just lies after lies and NO Customer support or ownership for what they just conned us into.
  If Ethan ***** had said we cant fix that, we would have kept looking for a contractor that could, instead we were conned into work we did not need, and in good faith we paid, because we are genuine honest people.
  STAY CLEAR of AFS, I have tried to contact them to discuss and nothing NO call back nothing, they don't want to know what their representatives and staff are doing to customers.
  We have been conned no doubt about it, all I can say is BEWARE, dont fall into the TRAP we did, SHAME ON YOU AFS.

  We have used Rainy Day Basement for many years now and absolutely love these guys. We have had ***************** as our Service Tech for as long as I can remember. **** is very knowledgeable, friendly and knows what he is doing. Not his first rodeo. Very professional, good value for something we must have done each year. The staff up in Arlington is great as well; very flexible. You wont go wrong with Rainy Day.

  This company has been absolutely nothing but professional, friendly, helpful, and responsive. I am so happy with the entire project, including the continued follow up, two years later! Everyone from the sales department, to office staff, to the people that come out and do the work (including the contractor they referred me to for prep and construction work), and the service department, have been absolutely wonderful!   Terrible customer service experience with the foundation recovery systems branch in Ankeny, Iowa. We had both interior and exterior done. The interior water proofing crew filled our entire house with concrete dust. We complained to the office manager, only to have a supervisor show up to tell my wife it is our responsibility to mitigate their dust. They refused to pay to have the house cleaned. The exterior excavating crew bagan work without having all the utilities located and damaged our house water service. Again they refused to pay for the damage. They also damaged our window sills during demo. Not their fault again. At the end of the project we tried again the recover some of the close to ****** in repair costs caused by them. The said they would pay us ******, and only if we signed an NDA saying we could not say anything about our experience.

  Our experience with Tar Heel Basement System 9/2022~****** later and six months later after their repairs, we did a flooring project next to their work in our master bathroom. Water damage through the years had rotted several main support beams. The floor was badly sagging and fell in when the vanity was removed. My husband unexpectedly discovered that one of their new support beams had been cut too short and missed landing on the ledger by several inches. He also discovered that wood screws had been used in-place of lag bolts. We immediately contacted Tar Heel Basement Systems. They corrected their work several weeks later slowing down our bathroom renovation. Our concern is that how many other unknowing & trusting homeowners have also been done the same way through the years? Our home was only five minutes away from **** ***** * ****** to obtain the necessary lag bolts and new beam they needed to correctly support this area. Their poor work ethic is disturbing. They’ve lost our trust! Their work ethic seems to be…..the customer will never know the difference. Luckily we found the poor workmanship and it was ultimately corrected. What about the thousands of homeowners that feel confident their homes were supported correctly? The workmen were very friendly but we feel very deceptive and inexperienced. Looking me in the eye assuring me my home was well supported and the areas they repaired would be the only part standing if the rest of the house collapsed. Really?…… I beg to differ! We could’ve done the same sloppy, temporary repairs with wood screws ourselves for a few dollars! We had high expectations and disappointment with the competence and judgment of their employees. I wouldn’t trust Tar Heel Basement Systems to support my doghouse!!!

  Salesman came to my home to bid a job to lift and level a sinking garage floor and lift and level a concrete slab leading to our front porch using poly foam. Lucky for me, I did get a second bid which was ***** cheaper. As it turned out the difference in price was for stuff I did not need. The contract they provided stated a product to be used, the units used, and a total price. I did use Foundation Recovery Systems because I had signed a contract that I could not get out of, and gave them a deposit. In their defense, they honored their competitor's price. As for the work done, the garage floor appears cracked and patched, despite the crew telling me otherwise and accepting a **** tip. No morality or integrity with this company. Please know what you are paying for, and do not sign a contract without getting other bids.

  Very professional, communicative company from the office personnel to the work staff. Did the job as described. Workers Miles, Terrance, and Duncan were promptly on scheduled time. Polite. Willing to discuss concerns all along sub pump installation. Cleaned up all areas when job was done. Great experience, from Sean's evaluation for what would resolve water issue in the basement to the conclusion of the job. Alleviated my anxiety in making sure job was done right. Highly recommend BQ. Very satisfied customer. These folks know basement work and make best recommendations to fix the problem! AAA+
