5 starsJudd ****** was my tech. He came out, was extremely diligent in going over everything. He explained to me each step in his process and gave me tips to help prevent issues with water on the outside of my house. I even extended my warranty due to him being the one that would service my system if needed due to his knowledge and attitude.Review fromJohn A

1 starDo not believe anything the sales rep tells you. Read the fine print. I was misled into signing the contract. When I realized my folly and cancelled, I had to pay an administrative fee of $1130 for absolutely no work done. Go with a local plumber – not only does a plumber have the technical expertise but also knows the local rules and regulations and can acquire the appropriate permit.
The Clarke rep sold me on their system with two statements that combined to be one big falsehood. One, he told me I could get a rebate from the city to cover the sump pump. And second, when I asked him directly, does this require a permit, he said a permit was definitely not required as they were “certified waterproofers.” Come to find that to get the rebate, the work DOES require a permit AND an inspection by a plumber preapproved by the city and that Clarke knew all along per their website. Clarke has since deleted the page trying to cover its tracks, but I found an archived copy which I can share. I told the rep about the permit issue. The rep conferred with the production manager, but they did not offer any solutions only statements of disbelief because “they’d never needed a permit before.” They refused to help me with the permit application. They suggested I proceed without a permit. Things were starting to feel a bit shady. I asked to cancel the work all together. The rep informed me that a 7% admin fee, quoting the exact amount as $267, would be deducted from the refund of my deposit. Later I received a call from the rep that the admin fee was now $1130. He said this was based on the whole amount of the project, not just the deposit. However, 7% of the whole project equates to $890. Any complaints I made to the rep were met with “it’s out of my hands.” I was told on two occasions that the production manager would call me to discuss but he never did.Review fromTeresa D

I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service. My house is 100 years old and has a short depth crawl space. Never been wet, I thought. *****, my Rainy Day Basement PM, suggested encapsulation along with the dehumidifier to kill off any remaining powder beetles (all gone now). I skipped the sump pump installation. After the snow and rain and melt, the alarm went off. They were here the next day and installed a sump pump. Again the alarm in the dark. And they came back to figure out what the issue is.I am surprised with the customer service. Some companies really do take it seriously.Thank you Rainy Day Basements!Groundworks, LLC

2 starsI called this company bc I thought it was an established company that I can trust, however the sales person was very aggressive during the sale, by the time we were about to sign the contract which I didn’t want to because there is always a detail they don’t talk about the sales person said there were no hidden loopholes and if I got another estimate from another company they will match it. The company finally got me scheduled two months after the sale. I got two estimates cheaper than their estimate and they didn’t match it, the sales person was very rude and gave a plenty of excuses such as “you can’t compare ******* items with the dollar store items” “these estimates have to be apples to apples”. A day before the schedule day to start work the sales person comes back and tell me that the estimates have to come from a class A company. Idk what that means and he never mentioned it during the negotiation. He claims he did, but there is no written notification of such. He sent me a picture of the policy a day prior the schedule date telling me this is what they do. Very rude, calling me “hey, hey, hey, what you gonna do me like this?” I couldn’t talk to him, he was yelling at me, so I have to say goodbye. I talked to someone else who treated me better and said they were not going to grant the matching price. A day after the company comes back and starts work. They said it was going to take a day, but due to concrete issues, they came back the next day, they did not finish, the next day did not show up, nor call to let me know what was happening. They called back four days later and that is because I keep calling them to find out what was going on with my project. Finally they came to finish. It took another two days. They finally finished and plugged the pump to an outlet. I asked it it needed it’s own circuit not just a plug in. And said no. At the final inspection it fail bc it is a basement drainage system and it needs its specific circuit bc it deals with water.Review fromKellye H

1 starWe bought a house that had an FRS fix less than a year old. The foundation walls continued to crack. They would NOT honor the warranty as the cracks were not in the EXACT spot as the repair. (But they were under it.)
Then we had a water leak in our yard because they put the anchors right on top of the water pipe!!! It rubbed it until it finally broke the pipe. My husband dug it out and fixed it. They gave us $*** for our trouble.
FRS will not honor their warranty! Even our real estate agent said she has heard that. So approach with caution.Review fromBarbara W

1 starMy front porch and steps was serviced on 11/2/22. I was quoted for a settlestop Helical Pier under the steps to my porch. The first crew was unable to install pier due to a large boulder under steps. The next crew came and shot poly under porch. Contractor said there was no need to put poly under steps because it would not seal the gap between the porch and the wall where they were separating; he also said the poly would ooze out between the gap, AND the warranty would not apply in that situation. He said the total due was $1.025.16. I paid him. A couple of days later **** calls and said that amount was incorrect, and I owe an additional $900.00. I was very upset because I asked contractor several times if he was sure of the balance, because initially, I planned to finance the entire amount; but due to the low balance I paid with the debit card. Yesterday I received an email from *******, and NOW I owe $1,232.07. I am very disappointed with this company after all the reviews and TV commercials, they are just like everybody else...untrustworthy!!!Review fromMorgan B

1 starIf I could give this company 0 stars I would. I spoke with an agent 2 weeks ago explaining the repairs I needed. They scheduled an appointment for an inspection which required someone to be home. The appointment date and time came and went and nobody showed up. I called and they said they don't do the type of repair I needed and claimed they tried to call me two days ago to cancel. No calls, voicemails, or emails saying my appointment was canceled. I took off work to be here for this. I do not recommend this company based on the lack of knowledge their agents have around what work they can and can't complete, and the overall lack of communication both internally with their employees and myself as a customer.Review fromJoshua S

1 starThis is by far the worst company I've ever done business with. We signed a contract with them to re-stabilize our foundation. Throughout the entire process, communication was abysmally bad and pretty much everyone we interacted with was unprofessional in some manner. The work they did may be good, but unfortunately, I have a deep distrust of this company now: so much so that I'm still not convinced we even needed foundation work. And now, we're left with a completely destroyed lawn in the area they did the work because the company refused to take ownership and grade it properly for us. Please, if you're reading this to see if you should hire them: take your business elsewhere. I wouldn't wish this amount of stress on anyone - probably took years off my life.
Major complaints:
- The company makes a big deal about the structural engineers that verify the work prior to creating the permits. And yet, somehow, the permit they got approved required one additional push pier that ended up not being needed. My confidence is drastically reduced when the engineers aren't even able to take a perimeter and properly figure out how many piers are needed if they're spaced out every "x" feet.
- The only appointments that were actually kept by the company were sales-related. None of the work was done in a timely manner, and when appointments were made and missed, no apology or explanation was given.
- The sales tactics are very aggressive. At some point, Zach told me that when they were done, "a helicopter could land on our roof and the house wouldn't sink at all". Okay... but why would I, a homeowner, ever care about that? They seemed completely incapable of explaining why the work needed to be done other than claiming that they were experts and we weren't.

5 starsBrandon ******* Brandon ******** and Caleb did a great job rescuing the basement wall that was caving in. They explained things clearly, showed up on time, and did a great cleanup job because it was a messy job. I highly highly recommend them!
