      I tried to use coin star at the ******* of ******** ** location ******************************************* put my deposit of coins in the machine ate the money and went malfunction mode I waited one hour for the manager to return when he finally did he knew nothing if how to operate the machine he had no passcode no keys he knew zero except to inform me the machine malfunctions constantly I was provided with no reference number no receipt nothing. I left my name tel # and email I've called coin star 4xs today and their operators just hang up after 15 mins in hold I asked for a supervisor and they hung up 3xs *********** is a JOKE

      This is a complaint against Coinstar as they have the primary business relationship with Coinme for the purchase of Bitcoin.I have deposited funds into my Coinme wallet via a Coinstar Kiosk and each attempt to send the funds to another wallet fails, I have made dozens of attempts to send the funds since 9/22/2023,I have had only one interaction with a customer service rep via chat.Phone numbers do not work, only option is through chat.

      Coinstar has a business relationship with Coinme in providing a service on their kiosk. Perhaps Coinstar should divorce from this business relationship if they cannot control the vendor that provides the service under their name. This reflects very badly on the Coinstar trademark.

      On 09/24/2026 I used a Coinstar and selected the Amazon gift card. The Machine broke down before I received my voucher. (see attachment) I called Coinstar and the sent a tech out on 09/26/2023 and he repaired the machine and gave the voucher to customer service. I went and picked the voucher. (see attachment) I entered it into Amazon and it received the message that the Gift Card is not redeemable in this region. I called Amazon and they directed me to Coinstar since the issue the voucher. I called Coinstar and opened a ticket. Claim# ******. I was on the phone with an *** then a ******** and then a supposed manager and they all just kept saying that the ticket is valid. This went on for over a half hour. when I complained they would say I understand and then would also follow up that there is noting the can do. So bottom line is they stole $85.33 from me. I googled Coinstar Complaint and see that this is a common practice that use to steal from customers. I would like a valid voucher or to reimbursed for the $85.33 that was stolen from me.

      On sept 5, 2023. We submitted a report with CoinStar. Due to their machine jamming when we were depositing around $300, at ****************** We had to leave with out our money that we saved in coins for Over 2 years. Unfortunately, ******* couldnt help us since they dont own the machine. Till this day I keep calling coinstar with reference number: ******, even *******s has reached out to them. They have no response for me. The first time I called they said their receipt showed only $6.00! I told the representative that was wrong and she said she would send someone to pick up the bins and audit the machine. I keep calling they keep Turning me away asking me to wait until someone audits this machine. It has been over 3 weeks now and I have not received any money. *******s management has been very helpful saying they could run cameras if necessary. But unfortunately, CoinStar wont even give me this option. They want me to wait and probably forget. We just want our money we saved for so long, its not a lot of money to them, but to us it is. This is so unfair!

      On 8/17/2023, I used a Coinstar machine to convert my coins into a voucher with a total value of $42.20 which i tried to cash after 3 weeks of issuance. Subsequently, I encountered difficulties when attempting to redeem this voucher, which led me to contact Coinstar **************** for assistance. The incident number for this case is ******.I initially reached out to Coinstar **************** seeking guidance on how to redeem my voucher. To my surprise, I was informed that the store where I used the Coinstar machine would be able to cash the voucher, provided that I presented them with the incident number ******. Trusting this information, I visited the store promptly, only to be told that they were unable to assist me and directed me back to Coinstar.Upon returning to Coinstar ****************, I was made to wait for an extended period, nearly an hour, with the expectation that I would receive my funds at the store with the incident number. Regrettably, this did not happen, and I was left feeling frustrated and misled by the information provided by your customer service representatives.Furthermore, I was troubled by an alternative suggestion made by one of your representatives, who mentioned sending the voucher to a P.O. box. This has only added to my confusion and frustration, as it appears to contradict the initial information provided about the store being able to redeem the voucher. I kindly request that Coinstar issues a paper check for the full value of my voucher, which is $42.20. This would be the most straightforward and equitable resolution to this matter.

      The cash voucher itself should still be valid, we cannot determine why the store was unable to cash it with the information we have at this time. Because the voucher is still valid, our customer service team requested you to send the voucher to us so we can send a check for the amount.

      SEPTEMBER 16th I used coinstar atm to buy bitcoin. I inserted $2900 into the machine. When it auto selected BUY and during the processing to send it to my Coinme **** it printed a voucher stating we encountered error with this transaction, the voucher shows $2900 being deposited. But the transaction details usually near the top of the voucher just showed error. When I checked my Coinme account nothing was transferred. I called the coinstar number and Coinme numbers for support they could not help. And even suggested to get refund from the store customer service desk!?!?! I would like the $2900 credited as USD on my Coinme account ASAP

We see that your transaction was successful through the Coinstar kiosk, the funds are automatically put through to your Coinme account once the transaction is successful. Coinstar cannot troubleshoot the account at that point as we do not have access to view live balances, purchases, redemptions, etc. We would encourage you to work with Coinme on your available balance concerns.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The voucher obviously shows it was NOT processed into my Coinme account. After I inserted $2900 *** daily limit the BUY link went away and gave me the voucher I attached. Normal vouchers include the bitcoin purchase and other transaction information. Mine has NONE OF THAT. And shows error!!!!!

      On 9/19/2023 at the ******* on **************************************************************** I put $30.00 into a machine and it got jammed. Nobody answered the phone after an hour and not a single employee/ manager could do anything. Had to leave the coins at the machine.

      I deposited $175.24 into the Coinstar machine located in *************, **. The ******* customer service cashier didn't accept the receipt/voucher. I was handed a small paper sheet stating, "Coninstar vouchers cannot be redeemed at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try again later." We were given a customer service number to call ********************. We have called several times and waited on hold for an extended period of time in each attempt to call with no answer from Coinstar. Coinstar took my $175.24 with no way to redeem my money back, we don't know what else to do.

      I went in to a local neighborhood ************** in *************, ** to cash in my coinstar voucher but I was told that coinstar is down and I cannot redeem my cash. It is worth $378.05 so it is not a small amount to be just discarded if coinstar says you can only redeem it the same day. What will happen to my cash value if the system is down? Would I still get my money?

      I used the local Coinstar kiosk located at *************************************************************** (***************) Its my usual kiosk. You insert your coins and either receive a gift card or a voucher receipt to cash at the service desk. However they changed it to where you cash it at the checkout line now. They wont cash it for free and force you to purchase something. This isnt advertised anywhere in the store or at the kiosk. I know theres an automatic ************* and a 12% charge from the machine. Is this a common practice/arrangement? If not this needs to be addressed and corrected. Thank you.
