Costco Tire Center ********, **** - Easton I took my car to costo for tire service on 8/19/2023, the service was quick, however upon getting my car back, there was damage to the inside of my vehicle. While Costco was in possession of my car, one of their technician's scuffed my leather steering wheel, they put a 3 inch scuff on the steering wheel that was easily seen and felt. Initially Costco stated that only one employee was ever in contact with my car, however I witnessed a second employee in my car, and after my statement Costco changed their statement. I have heard back from their claims adjuster and the adjuster said that both employees denied doing the damage, so they will be doing nothing for my claim. The bottom line is that my steering wheel was free from damage when I dropped my car off, and when I picked my car up there was damage, and now Costco will not take responsibility.

On Sunday 8/20/23, at check out I told my husband that needed to use the batches and left him with the member card to complete checkout. While waiting a customer service member asked for his card. When he showed him the card, the rep let him know that his name was not on the card and that I need to "be present" to check out. He said - ok. She will be out soon. At checkout the rep came him again and said no check out unless I was present. My husband said I would be there and to please let us check out instead if going to the back of a long line. He started check out and I arrived as he was finishing. We were approached, singled out, asked to step aside and asked to show the card again. In less than 10 minutes the situation had completely devolved. We were told we were inappropriate, and they did not like our behavior in the line. I had no idea what occurred. I knew that I just had to go to the bathroom. This experience went so far as the representative to tell us that she did not care for members like us. I have read the articles where Costco has struggled with people pretending to be members and using the card inappropriately because of the new self-checkout line. Singling people out and having your representatives treat us like we are trying to steal membership is a bit too far for us. I know the people working for you are just trying to enforce the rules but there has to be a better way than aggressively pulling families aside and speaking to us in the manner that the representative did today. After I arrived at checkout, she pulled us aside and told us our behavior was not acceptable. She told us to "avoid being singled out in the future" I should always be present, or we should have our second card ready for display and if we should always have our secondary card available. That is the last thing we were thinking about when stopping for an impulse shopping event at Costco this afternoon.

This is the most hurtful thing I have ever done. I have been a member At Costco for many years. While standing in line to purchase my items at Costco in ******************* I was racially profiled. The manager though I didnt matter right into the point I decided to cancel my membership, then I mattered. I was in line and a cashier (Older caucasian women) decides to comes to me. several other Caucasian people that were in front of me , ask to see my card. I had the black card, I had just go off work in sweat clothes. And I and I asked her why she said. Someone's card was stolen in the store and I had to check everyone I But you're not checking everyone's she claimed. "Yes, I certainly am" . I pointed out to all the people that were in front of me who were caucasian she did not check theirs . I allowed her to see my card the I proceeded to ask those people if they were asked the same they said no. I continued to see her just go to other selective people asking them. I did not purchase my items. I went straight to the manager, the manager was extremely rude and dismissed me, he asked "well, is it your card?" , he said we don't have discrimination here . I explained to him what happened I told him he could ask one of the persons that were in front of me . I pointed out to one particular lady. He declined to do so. I pointed out to him that the cashier is being selective . He repeatedly said we dont have discrimination here and continued to dismiss me. He was extremely hurtful, I went to cancel my membership. I cried in doing so because it was something I did not did not want to do I get my tires, phones , personal items and food all from Costco. I Loved Costco. Once I terminated my membership the manager comes in a more empathetic tone And offers me a year membership I said no because my dignity and integrity as a human being is not worth a free year membership to anything .I am still so devastated and can't even drive by Costco without getting emotional.

Oft late there are too many incidents of food stuff we buy at Costco ************** in ********, molding. This happened with the bagels we bought, strawberries and other fresh produce. Going through these all in The span of one week left a distaste in me. I am not even sure its worth going back to Costco for replacement. The issue is that I believe Costco is taking its eyes off the sanitization aspects of food delivery

What's the point of a warranty if you have absolutely no responsibility to uphold it? Will never shop or purchase from Costco again. We have a broken 1-year-old refrigerator that is on its 6th week of not working and no one will help. Shame on you, Costco. Corporate greed at it's best...

I was buying a singular bag of chicken nuggets, and standing in the self checkout line, because I was purchasing a singular bag of chicken nuggets. A lady came up and said she needed to see my membership card. I have to show my membership card to get in, but, whatever, I showed her my membership card. And she said no, I need you to take it out so I can see both sides with the picture, so I handed her back her bag of chicken nuggets, and walked out.I pay for an executive membership for my entire family, and I have a Costco credit card. Im not paying a yearly fee to get harassed in a self check out line over a single bag of chicken nuggets. In fact, EVERYTIME I get harassed in the self check out line, I am going to simply surrender my groceries and leave, and you can deal with the product loss. Not my problem. If you need to see BOTH sides of my membership card, then check it at the door. If you are THAT worried about your self check out machines, then stop being lazy and set them up to require you to scan your membership card to check out, or, rip out the self check outs and add more registers so you can obsess over your membership cards with the little picture.Walmart is always just up the road, and they got cheap prices too.

I ordered a very expensive range from Costco. Almost $4k with taxes. It was supposed to be delivered Aug 2.Costco cancelled delivery with no explanation or new date. This morning, I got a text message from Costco saying the delivery was coming TODAY at 2:00. We scrambled to get the old appliance disconnected, per Costco instructions. The new appliance never arrived. I called customer service and was told that the earliest the appliance can arrive is Aug 14. The *** said she didn't know why I received the text and had no authority to help me other than to apologize and schedule the delivery. This certainly wasn't the fault of some poor call center worker. But to Costco logistics, I say, "you suck; do better!" This is my first and last major purchase from Costco.

After reviewing Costco's check acceptance policy on their website I decided to drive the 102 miles (one way) from my driveway to their nearest location in *************, OR. I loaded up a cart with some items that I wanted to purchase and proceeded to the checkout line. The cashier seemed willing to take the check and was verifying info on my state issued ID and then asked another employee if there was any other information she needed to verify/add to the check. The other employee asked how old my membership was and I stated that it was just over a week old, to which she replied that she'd have to get manager approval. Upon her return she stated that Costco does not accept checks from memberships less than 3 months old and asked if I had another form of payment. I replied that I did not and she immediately voided the transaction and handed me back my check, ID and membership card. Not only was I embarrassed for having an accepted payment method refused, I feel that the demeanor of the 2nd employee was very unprofessional and I left the store feeling like they thought I was trying to rip them off. I chatted with an agent working for their customer service department that advised me it's an unwritten store policy to not accept checks for newer memberships. Had the website stated this I would have waited until I could have gone to the bank and got cash so that I could have actually made the purchases I drove 204 miles for and not been made to feel like I was trying to rip the company off. I don't think it's that hard to add a line to their check acceptance policy stating new memberships cannot write checks. Another idea, be like other stores and have the ability to run the check through a device that can verify funds immediately. A tank of gas in my truck. 4 hours wasted and being made to feel like a dirt bag. Thanks Costco!
