To Whom It May ************************** reply is in response to ************** complaint which we received from your office. We have reviewed the complaint and the related matter. As a result of our investigation, we are replying with the following information:
On 10/18/2021, this account with Gas South, LLC was placed in our office to collect a balance on their behalf of $626.89. On 02/04/2022, we sent ************ a validation notice. This notice included his right to dispute the balance owed.
On 09/21/2022, we received a credit bureau dispute. The account was placed in disputed status and collection activity was suspended. We have requested documents from Gas South, LLC, validating the balance that they state is owed. Once we have obtained this information, we will mail the documents to ***************
In response to this complaint, we have closed the account in our office and returned it to Gas South, LLC. We will request that our information for this account be removed from the credit bureaus. A copy of this complaint will be forwarded to Gas South, LLC for further review.
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to ************** concerns.

I have reached out to CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING. They have failed to provide proof of validation regarding a debt that does not belong to me. They have furnished this alleged debt on my consumer report and have failed to validate the alleged claim pursuant to Sec. 809(b)of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and according 609(a)(1)(A), you are required by federal law to verify, through the physical verification of the original signed consumer contract, any and all accounts that you post on a credit report. I demand this item be removed from my credit report immediately. I also contacted Sprint wireless to confirm that I do not owe a debt and the were paid directly the remaining balance of $99.76 totaling $260. They also agreed to contact Convergent Outsourcing to have them remove the information from my credit profile. This collection was an error made by sprint wireless during an account closure and the collection agency refuses to remove it from my experian credit report after already deleting it from transunion and equifax. The account number is ********. The only reason I paid the collection is to get I removed from my credit report even though it was an error by Sprint and I was promised by Sprint and the collection agency upon payment it will be deleted. .Business Response

I have attempted to resolve this issue with Convergent Outsourcing. I filed 2 disputes through CFPB putting Convergent outsourcing on alert that account #***** that they are reporting to the credit bureau does not belong to me. I have provided and ftc reports supporting my claim. Convergent Outsourcing replied back with they needed a police report for this dispute. The term identity theft report has the meaning given that term by rule of the Bureau, and means, at a minimum, a report (A) that alleges an identity theft; (B) that is a copy of an official, valid report filed by a consumer with an appropriate Federal, State, or local law enforcement agency, including the ************* ************************** or such other government agency deemed appropriate by the Bureau; and (C) the filing of which subjects the person filing the report to criminal penalties relating to the filing of false information if, in fact, the information in the report is false.Convergent Outsourcing has not complied by the **** LAWS. THEY HAVE VIOLATED MY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER THIS ACCOUNT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. Convergent Outsource has not Honorded the ************* that was sent to them .
