1 starPlease do not trust this company! I had been scheduled for a serpentine belt replacement, mechanic then came and told me that is was more than just a belt replacement and I basically needed a whole new AC unit replacement. That was fine, I went and cancelled the appointment and was told I would get my original money back for the services and just be charged a cancellation fee. I ended up being charged for both and I went back and forth with my credit card company and them so dispute the charge and they completely lied to my credit card company saying that I had received services! I'm still going back and forth with them with my invoice, phone calls, and my very obvious cancellation fee, but they are still lying! Unless you want them to take your money and offer nothing back in return, please do not trust YourMechanic! I've also tried to leave reviews on their website, but they are deleting my reviews and I'm assuming any bad ones they get. Please be wary!Review fromKerry K

1 starFirst, Yourmechanic claims on their website to be BBB accredited, but the BBB website says they ARE NOT ACCREDITED. This constitutes fraud. In addition, we have had a nightmare experience with this company, being canceled on 5 times in 2 days, each time with a different excuse - "mechanic personal issue," "parts not available", and then after I PERSONALLY PURCHASED THE PARTS MYSELF FOR THEM TO INSTALL (PROVING THEY LIED TO ME), the next excuses were: "personal issue," "double-booking," "personal issue."Each cancelation was via email within 30 minutes of the scheduled appointment... so, we often did not even notice the cancelations until they were already "late."The company offered NO credit, discount or help in any way. We were told no supervisor was available for ***** hours, and then we were actually penalized for purchasing the parts since they lied about their availability and were told we would get no warranty because they didn't purchase the parts themselves. (We also saved over $100 the price for parts they originally quoted us. So, they also price *****. THEN, the $40 coupon I was offered on the FIRST canceled booking for paying the bill before the appointment was removed on each of the reschedules thereafter. We attempted calling and emailing SEVERAL times and were given conflicting info, lies and useless excuses which ultimately ended with no one ever coming out to do the work we had paid for the first day we booked. Once I had enough and demanded a 100% refund, they had the audacity to claim that we would receive it in TEN BUSINESS DAYS! Keep in mind, we needed that money to have SOMEONE ELSE DO THE WORK. They have no integrity and are the most dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune of attempting to purchase any type of service from.BEWARE!AND, BBB... *** THEM FOR FALSELY CLAIMING THAT THEY ARE BBB ACCREDITED!Review fromWilliam B

1 starBeware of YourMechanic.com: Deceptive Practices Exposed The reviews that appear on their website are fake, this is their main hook to attract customers, they ask for their debit or credit card information in advance and then charge them for work not performed. As a concerned consumer, I must share my recent ordeal with YourMechanic.com. Initially drawn by promises of convenience and reliability, I entrusted them with installing a starter in my car. However, after paying upfront, they failed to fulfill their end of the deal, recommending unnecessary repairs instead. Adding insult to injury, they fraudulently billed my AmEx card, which refused to rectify the situation. Forced to seek assistance elsewhere, I incurred additional expenses to resolve the issue. My experience serves as a cautionary tale to others. Beware of YourMechanic.com's deceptive practices and consider alternatives. I have reported them to the ******* Attorney General and urge others to do the same in their home states.Review fromLaura T

1 starThis is by far the absolute worst company. I don't care if they are the last mechanical company in the galaxy, don't use them. They are so inconsiderate and lack professionalism. They contract mechanics who obviously don't know their work. They aren't able to provide a refund no matter their fault or not. God forbid it's their fault and needs to be handled by the warranty department. They make you wait for weeks! I've been without my car for 2 weeks because the mechanic installed a piece incorrectly which caused more damage. I've been trying to be calm and patient and they sit on the phone and tell you how sorry they are but won't refund your money for the terrible service they provided. I will walk to the moon before I allow this company to have someone to come out and lock my car doors. Run away from this company as fast as you can.Review fromGualberto P

1 starI had my car replaced a starter by your mechanic. I was able to use the car for a day then the car won't start anymore. I informed your mechanic for what happened then they will send a mechanic to check but they qouted $185.00. So i think this is a money making company i did not booked anymore for there services. I have my car towed to a certified auto shop. Then they find it its the starter problem. I informed your mechanic about the situation but no action taken. The auto shop replaced the defective starter installed by your mechanic. I told your mechanic that the starter they installed is ready for inspection. There reply by phone is that they will send a mechanic to inspect the starter but in the email i found out later that they charge $159.00 ,for the mechanic to check the starter and it will be offsetted to the warranty.. The mechanic came i ask what will happen to my warranty the answer is he has no idea. He called their office and he was told that they will be the one to call me. Until now more than a week they did not call.Review fromTracey S

1 starThis company is a SCAM. I book my appointment on Feb 3 for them to come today Feb 7th for 9am. At 8:20 am the driver said he was coming and was picking up the part. At 9:10 am I get a email saying I need to reschedule because the part wont be ready till 11:30 omg I told them that I took off work for this appointment so why wasnt the part already order. The operator then came back to the phone and stated the mechanic can come at 12:30 I said ok. At 10:30 I get a call saying he cant come because the part is not available omg are you serious. This company is a waste of time and scam do not give these people your card information or anything they will try to take your money after they cancel on you. I pray God close this bootleg company DOWN ASAPReview fromShawntay A

1 starMy oil pan needed to be replaced so I made an appointment with your mechanic, the driver came out and started working on my car and broke a bolt. The mechanic stopped the job and stated that he didn't have the tools to fix the car. Someone called me to tell me that the job wouldn't be completed, and I would be charged $150.00. Why should I be charged from something that they destroyed? I want my money back I had to take my car and pay not only for the oil pan but for the bolt that he broken. I have sent several emails and all I get is once the drive comes, I have to be charged. I want my MONEY BACKReview fromHenry W

The Mechanic ******************************* arrived on time and completed the job within an hour. He didnt test drive it so I did as he was leaving. The axle was not seated correctly and made a clicking sound. I had him come back and he worked on it from 330 to 830pm without being able to do the repair. He explained that it needed shims and it was not the same part as the one that was removed etc. I need my car for work. ******** was very good at explaining the problem I dont know how or where you ************** from but an CV axle replacement Is a straight forward job when done correctly and the CORRECT part is ordered. After its replaced properly, I will still need to get an alignment at $150.00 to make sure the tires are lined up properly. The other times I have used your services it has been fine. I would expect compensation for not being able to use the car, as well as the alignment needed.YourMechanic

1 starThis business is a scam. I scheduled an inspection on my brake system but the technician cancelled my appointment. In person he gave verbal advice on what to do with the car, but the company took that cancellation and charged a 150$ late cancellation fee. After calling multiple times I was able contacted by the ******** Service Supervisor by the name of ********. She stated that because my vehicle appointment details were "incomplete and/or inaccurate" that the company can cancel my appointment. The reason for using this is because my vehicle was previously worked on. When I asked how I was supposed to verbalize this information to Yourmechanic company, she said that we could've called the mechanic, left a note in the notes section of the service request or emailed the company. My question then was, where would it state that this information was pertanent to the company, so I was aware it needed to be shared. She said that they can't specify each thing they need to know, and reserve the right to cancel if information was "innaccurate or incorrect". This company has these terms and conditions listed with blanket statements, or what she said was "broad terms and conditions" to be able to cancel services at their discretion. They then take your money, and credit your account to reserve future business. After finally understanding how this crooked company operates, I informed them of my intent to share my experience on every social media platform and website possible, I began by searching their accredidation on the BBB website. However, BBB lists them as not being accredited which is displayed as accredited on their website. I called the BBB to confirm this company not being accredited and made the report of the false advertisement. Save yourself headache and time by NOT ever using this company.Review fromJernell B

1 starI was scheduled for service on a Tuesday with a bill totaling $404. Once the mechanic came and reviewed the vehicle, I was told I would need to reschedule so the appropriate parts could be ordered and my expected bill went up to OVER $700. The bulk of this was added to labor time which goes against their fair price commitment outlined on the website. We rescheduled for 10/6 at 12pm. At 12:03pm, I received a call stating the correct parts were still needed and I would need to reschedule yet again. Totally unacceptable the day of my appointment. As a consumer, I would have been charged $150 each time I canceled on the day of.They have now cancelled on me the day of my appointment twice in one week. Gone up on my bill on labor time from the original fair price guarantee and left me in a position to where I have taken off work (wasted PTO) and will need to get a rental car for the weekend last minute due to being notified the day of my appointment at noon that you still do not have the parts.More than anything, I am truly disappointed in the price increase after reading their website this morning as well as the last minute communication as I could have spent last night or the early part of my morning looking for a rental car. Now I must rush to fix this error before my trip. The supervisor showed no remorse regarding these issues and simply cancelled the appointment all together after voicing my concerns. Do waste your time or money with this unprofessional company. Its not worth it.
