1 starIm not sure what happened to the company and what led to the lack of moral and customer service. It could possibly be due to the 2019/2020 lawsuits and being acquired by Wrench in 2022. Ive been a repeat customer since 2015 and recently had a bad experience with the mechanic *** and YourMechanics customer service to resolve the issue. When the mechanic arrived he was already in a rush to leave. The very first thing he said to me was he has a busy day ahead, which shortly after he couldnt do the job. I was charged $150 because the mechanic canceled. They said $150 could be applied for future service, but after this incident and trying to resolve getting a refund at no fault of my own I dont EVER want to use their services EVER AGAIN! I just want my money back and to part ways. Im still waiting to hear back from upper management and I have not received a response via email, I will keep following up. ********* has been helpful, however he is unable to assist me, being the front-end customer rep. ** had a supervisor ******** reach out. ******** is extremely rude and has no knowledge how to conduct customer service. It was clear she was reading straight from a manual and is unable to help past that information available to her. I asked to speak with her supervisor and her response was No. So now I have to go through the company contacts to find someone that can assist me. Based on all/most of the reviews it seems to be a trend that this company is out to scam customers out of their hard earned money. This company is a joke and prefers to take peoples money without completing any service. They constantly bring up their terms of service which is a joke and an incomplete vague document. Their legal team needs to update their terms of service to avoid the vague wording. An investigation into their business practice needs to be conducted. STOP STEALING MONEY FROM YOUR COSTUMERS just to be able to pay your employees wages.Review fromRyan P

1 starI scheduled a service to repair my vehicle, all I needed was a new belt installed. ******** arrived didn't seem to know what he was doing and never finished the job.The mechanic kept scheduling dates to come out and fix my vehicle and he never showed up, I provided proof of me having my vehicle towed to another shop and them recognizing countless mistakes the YourMechanic made to the point they wanted their phone number to question what they were doing to my vehicle. I brought this to their attention and they refuse to refund me for a mechanic that wasn't qualified to do a job I paid for, left my vehicle inoperable, before the mechanic arrived all power worked, I had to get my power fixed too by another shop. Complete rip off, I advise anyone to stay away from this site at all cost as I for one will never use YourMechanic ever again.Review fromAmy R

1 starYour mechanic, Ive been dealing with a huge issue for months. I hired someone to make a repair and after he cancelled several appointments, finally showed up at an unscheduled time. He showed up with his kid and said he didnt bring his tools to fix anything and that hed come back another time and gave us his phone number. When he left, he changed my card. I disputed with the company that an error had been made and over a month later you gave me a copy of the fake service report. The photo evidence was of someones hand! You also sent the fake document to my bank and now its months later, the car still needs the repair, and Im out $200. I was corresponding with ****** until he stopped replying. Please resolve this immediately.Review fromKyra S

The worst mobile mechanic EVER! Ladies they will scam you out of your money. I paid $154 for diagnostic service but did not diagnose my car properly or completely. I Was supposed to receive a FREE 50 point inspection as well, that I didn't receive. I Was told that I needed a catalytic converter. I booked the appointment ($665) with Your Mechanic to have a new one installed but they canceled my appointment saying that they don't cut and weld catalytic converters. So I took it to Elite Auto Works and they checked the catalytic converter, it had zero restrictions and is working correctly. Ladies, please find another company to fix or diagnose your vehicle. If you do use these scammers, have a man there with you so that the male mechanic won't s**** you over. I still don't know what's wrong with my vehicle but I paid Your Mechanic to tell me what's wrong. One of the worst decisions Ive ever made.YourMechanic

Hello,
Thank you for contacting YourMechanic. Diagnosing automotive issues can often be a step-by-step process to rule out or confirm part failures through visual inspection and/or appropriate tests. This means that sometimes more than one inspection and more than one repair may be needed. For more information on our inspection terms that all customers agree to when booking an appointment, please see ********************************************************.
We take all concerns seriously and talked to the customer at great length yesterday. We provided a $75 credit on the customers account that is good for one year.
We pride ourselves for being an inclusive company. Gender does not determine the cost of auto repair here. Everyone in the community pays the same price.
Best regards,
YourMechanic Team

1 starYes I am expressing my dislike with these people. It seems that I needed front brake pads/rotors and a brake caliper for my 2012 ******* Sonata because they were grinding and they needed to be replaced. I ordered the pads which were $490 but I got the discount for $450. The mechanic came last week and said I needed rotors. He supplied the rotors. This past week he said I needed a front brake rotor in which I bought myself. My problem with this mechanic was he was suppose to come today(08/31/2023) at 8 am to do the job. But I was informed that he couldnt make it because he had problems with his vehicle. Not my concern. I have missed 5 days of work from my job and I cannot afford to lose my job. I want another mechanic who is trustworthy than *******. I need my car fixed now because I needed to get back and forth to work daily. You people need to make things a whole lot better and stop taking advantage of people when it comes to vehicle repairs.Review fromshelita f

I had a very nice mechanic experience for my alternator. But my car did not need one after inspection and I prepaid or per your mechanics term LOCKED IN my service. I prepaid almost $478 and my cost was $94 for the hour. I asked to be refunded for the amount I used and was told I HAD to use the amount for future services which is not fair to me. Why would I let someone hold my money? I spoke to three people and was told that because I locked in the repair and was given a $60 discount they were unable to refund me the unused balance. I feel this is criminal and have no interest in using them again. Please help me get my refundYourMechanic

Hello,
YourMechanic offers customers an opportunity to opt into our locked-in booking promotion in order to receive discounts. It is 100% optional to opt into this promotion and customers are not required to prepay for their appointments in anyway.
Upon opting into this promotion, as mentioned, customers receive discounts of various sizes depending on how large their service is. Additionally, they agree to receive refunds via credits on their account, should a refund be due. As such, the customer now has credit (YM cash) on her account that is good for one year. It can be used towards any service we provide, big or small. Its very simple to apply whether the customer chooses to book online or over the phone.
********** to providing future services to this customer.

I went on ****** and learn about My Mechanic. I needed their services to change a water pump. I schedule an appointment for a Monday at 7 am. I got a telephone call on Sunday only to re-schedule me to Wednesday 3 pm due to not having the parts. They offer a $100 discount. I agreed to the re-schedule.On Wednesday morning I received a telephone call from the mechanic *****************************. He wanted to know what area of the home he was going to be working on the vehicle due to hot weather and him being 50 years old. I told him he would be inside a garage in the shade with a garage fan. 3 hours before my appointment he called me again and said he had many appointments schedule and that he was not going to work in the heat due to his health. I completely understand about working in the heat. The service was un professional from the beginning, lost my trust along the way, and would never let any one touch my vehicle if I do not trust you. They company needs to understand the following to continue to do business - you got to have the right tech, who represents the right company, suggest the right solutions, done in the right amount of time and right price.Stay away from company. Nothing but complains and un satisfied customers.YourMechanic

Hello,
We would like to again express our apologies for the reschedule requests that lead to the cancellation of this appointment. As a mobile mechanics, appointments are subject to delays for a variety of reasons, particularly weather concerns as our technicians are subject to the elements. Many areas of the country are under extreme heat conditions and this may cause the need to reschedule both for the safety of the technicians and for the quality services. We thank the customer for their feedback and hope that they may consider for future services.

1 star******** arrived an hour late, informed my husband and me that if we didnt need a specific thing done in the job he would not replace anything unnecessarily. He suggested for us to get additional parts but when asked for the cost was not specific with pricing and never ended up giving the price. He wouldnt start the job until additional parts were paid for even though we did not know the price of said parts. It was also stated that a complete assessment was made but to my knowledge that did not occur. Overall my experience was that they are unprofessional, unethical and did not provide good customer service.Review fromBentilda J

1 starBEWARE!!!!I acquired services from this mobile mechanic company because I work 2 jobs and it was convenient because they offered to come to your home or workplace to repair your vehicle. My first encounter was in February 2023 with a coolant leak in my housing unit. Repair was a few hours and I was satisfied with the mechanic who was contracted to do the work. Fast forward to July (5 months) later the coolant is leaking again. I have a warranty for the previous work so I contacted Your Mechanic to come to do an inspection once again and to my surprise, the contracted master mechanic ******* was unaware that my service call was a warranty inspection. He arrived early at my workplace and I met him at my vehicle and stood by while he inspected. I purposely parked on the street in front of my job so that no chemicals or fluids would stain the concrete. After he inspected the vehicle a call was made to the warranty department and approval was granted to do the job. I handed the mechanic my keys and returned to work. An hour had passed and I had not heard anything so I decided to walk out to check on the progress only to find my car abandoned with the windows down and my keys laying on the driver's seat with the mechanics' business card.!!!! I called the mechanic NO ANSWER!!! I called customer service @ your mechanic only to be told that they will have the warranty **** call me back!!! No one would say where the mechanic went or if he would return. A few hours later I received a call from Your Mechanic about a $159 Inspection Charge by some guy named ******* out of *******, go figure! He let me know that my car issue is not covered under the warranty and it will cost me $900 to repair. This company contracts employees independently from everywhere so PLEASE BEWARE!!! They are not accredited! I should have done more research!!!
