I ordered two Rad Power ebikes on 10/6/22 during their Black Friday sale. One High Step and one Mid Step. They state orders ship within 2 business days, but my first bike didnt ship until 10/17/22. I expected the second bike to ship soon after, but the days came and went and still no communication from Rad about my second bike. I emailed them on 11/3/22 asking when I could expect my second bike and I was told that now it wouldnt be shipping out until mid to late November. Then on 11/8/22 I'm told they oversold the High Step bikes (the one I've been waiting for), and that my options were to switch it for a mid step or get a refund. Not what I wanted, but the price was good, so I agreed to the switch and expected my bike to ship in a few days. I email them again on 11/29/22 and am now told my bike will ship in early December. I email them again on 12/21/22 and am now told "Unfortunately, this order was impacted by an error in the system and a shipping label was not yet created resulting in the product not yet leaving the warehouse" and that my bike would ship within 3-5 business days. While I did get a tracking number and an estimated delivery date of 12/24/22 from ****** nothing was happening. ***** showed only that a label had been created, and no bike was picked up for delivery even by 12/29/22 when I emailed them again. The ** rep said... "I can see from the tracking information that your package was labeled for shipment on 12/23/2022. This means that your order did depart our warehouse by 12/27/2022 but it has not yet been scanned into the courier's system. Sometimes, this initial scan can take **** business days, especially for larger, heavier packages. Further, the estimated resolution date to see movement on your package is on or before 1/12/2022." Never in the history of ***** have they purposefully sat on a package for 2 weeks without moving it through their delivery process.

Hi! We sincerely apologize about any frustration! We also received the ******** post and responded previously and by email regarding this. We checked on your order ******* for your white ********** Mid-Step. We can see from the tracking information that your package was labeled for shipment on December 23rd. This means that your order did depart our warehouse on December 23rd, but it has not yet been scanned into the courier's system. Sometimes, this initial scan can take **** business days, especially for larger, heavier packages and presently there is a known delay at the ***** hub in ******** where your bike shipped from. We know it can be concerning to hear from the courier that they do not have your package, as they cannot claim to have it until it scans in at their facility. We can assure you that the package has left our warehouse and is likely waiting on a truck outside of the local ***** distribution center. As soon as they work through their backlog of shipments, you will see your tracking number update. We sincerely for any inconvenience this has caused. We have notified our shipping team of this order and will be following up with you later in the week on the status via the email thread we already have in process. Thank you so much for your patience!

We wanted to follow up to tell you that ***** has made movement on your bike and that your estimated delivery date has been updated to Wednesday 1/11/2023 by end of day according to your ***** tracking. We have emailed this information to you as well. Thank you for being part of the *** community! We appreciate you!

Ive only had the bike for 4 months and within the first days/week, the breaks squeaked / rubbed and loosened up so much that I couldnt go down a small hill. *** already had to fix the breaks (and they still loosen up) and now the bike is part of the recalls for exploding tires and faulty rims. RadPower has notified impacted customers to not ride the bike until the replacement parts are provided. These parts are ~3-4 months out. They also expect the customer to take the bike into a service shop to fix the issues - so the $3,000 bike that I purchased is unridable, not safe and I have to spend the time to get it fixed.Customer service reps give, cut and paste responses, to be nice but move along quickly, treating me like its my fault for their bikes safety issues. *** asked for refund and the rep sent a link to the policy knowing very well the policy is only refund within 14 days of purchase - which doesnt help me out at all. This bike is not safe (especially when kids are riding on the back) and not worth the money or the time/hassle.

This response is the same as the responses that I have already received in my previous communications with ***************** hence part of my original comment, customer service provides cut and paste responses. I cant ride my bike safely until the parts are provided, (and then I have to find a shop to fix the bike!) there is still no timeline - the recall came out in Sept 2022 and still no word on when parts will be provided. I signed up to receive the parts and have no idea when parts will come in. I asked for a refund, that didnt happen. I asked for partial refund because I will be out of a bike for at least 4-6 months and what was sold to me was misrepresented. I still havent received a response on that. I had to file an official complaint with BBB and Im obviously not the only one thats had to do so. This company needs to be held accountable for selling faulty products without any chance of refund / returns due to their errors and poor craftsmanship. Safety should have been the FIRST thing that was checked before selling the bikes to the public.

I ordered a RadCity 5 in July. Once assembled, it was clear that the motor was not connected to the throttle or pedal assist. We reached out to customer service immediately and it took 4 days for them to respond (keep in mind their strict 2-week return window). After trouble shooting re: their recommendations, it was clear that we needed a new part. They assured us we would be able to return the bike if the part did not fix the bike. They assured us the part was in stock, but we never received a shipping confirmation. So we called again, only to be told it was NOT in stock and there was no ETA on when it would be back. (WHY did no one at customer service reach out to us to let us know this?) Call back again a week later to see if there is a part in stock at a retail location- there are, but they can only put in a request to have it shipped to us, no confirmation, no shipment, no part. Have been calling now once/day for weeks only to wait on hold for 45+ minutes each time (I have a toddler, so I can't just wait on hold all day) and never reach someone in customer service. I live in *********** and the time for actually riding a bike is running out before the weather changes. Called today and was told that they're getting a shipment of controllers in tomorrow and that the part should ship to me in the next 5 business days (only if there is product left after fulfilling new build & scheduled maintenance needs). I asked to be elevated to a supervisor, was told that wasn't possible. Asked to be connected to returns, also not possible. Explicitly told that, because I'm outside of the two week return window, I will not be able to get a refund even though the bike HAS NOT WORKED since I bought it. Listen- I get customer service is tough & supply chains are nuts right now, but this has got to be the worst CS experience I've ever had. THIS is exactly why we were warned against buying DTC.

Bought two bikes two years again for over $3 and have had nothing but issues with them. Multiple replaced rear motors (needing 3rd on on the same bike now) but now its out of warranty and I need to pay an additional $400 to repair my bike.

Is there no warranty on new parts? The motor was replaced less then a year ago and it has failed again. So once again I am expected to spend $400 on parts and hope it lasts more then one day?

I have purchased two bikes from this company. The first bike (Radmission) took over a year to actually work properly!.4 months another 8 monthsto get a wiring harness, controller and digital display. Bought a second one and still waiting on replacement keys, 2 chains. Furthermore, I want a additional wiring harness, controller and digital display and a chain pulley for the Radmission,. The sell bikes which claim you can get replacement parts but they arent in stock! New bikes which cant be fixed during the warrant period. Send Velofix for epairs and they dont shop! Numerous emails and conversations;however, nothing ever resolved. Really frustrating!

I ordered a RadCity 5 plus high step that was delivered towards the end of May 2022. By July 3 the motor had randomly started losing power and by the 4th it had completely failed after only 160km. I reached out by email, and after about a week of not hearing back I called their phone line and the person followed up with troubleshooting steps. After several weeks of back-and-forth runaround troubleshooting the ticket was closed for seemingly no reason. The bike was working intermittently until August 1 when it completely failed again. I knew better this time and called on the phone almost immediately to follow up on the ticket and the person on the phone created an order for me for a new motor controller as that was the most likely cause of the failure. Now, in October 2022 after two months of the replacement controller not shipping and constantly trying to follow up with ***, I was told that the original order for the replacement controller was for the wrong controller, and that I'd need a different one for my bike. Not only that, but I was sent an invoice to complete the order, so after over 3 months of being passed around to various support people I am being asked to pay $250 to replace a faulty controller, which is covered explicitly under warranty, on a bike that died a month after I got it. I can not recommend enough that anyone looking for an ebike look somewhere else. This has been an absolute nightmare for me. If you are someone who wants a $3000 paperweight then maybe Rad Power Bikes are right up your alley but otherwise steer clear. If anyone from Rad Power reads this and wants to do the right thing, feel free to follow up. My original order number is 30-81621
