My name is ************************* and I am the Director of La Zooz Dance in *************, **. We do a production every year and have used Brown Paper Tickets without any issue in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022. On June 11, 2023 we ran our program and acculumated $5830 worth of ticket sales, which they said they would mail a check to us or deposit funds into our account within 10 days. After a couple months, they informed us about a merger and that we should be patient with our funds. No longer answering their phones, I have reached out via email a dozen times, wrote emails threatening legal action, all to no avail. On March 6th, I received an email from them where they told me that my payment will be sent within ******************************************************************* the payment. Now we are nearing the year **** where my funds have still not been received and we need the liquidity to do the next production, as we do every year. I am hoping that involving BBB in the complaint will take it to the "next level" in their book and will release the funds that are due to me. We used Brown Paper Tickets as a ticketing service for our October 2023 event, through our LLC Handmade Music Festival. The event made $1415 dollars in ticket sales. We, as a small, family owned and community supported business, have not seen a dollar of our hard earned ticket sales. I am an artist who used Brown Paper Tickets to handle an event for me. They have not paid me a single ***** of the ticket revenue they collected for me. Note that Brown Paper Tickets has failed to pay artists and arts companies and is under order by the ******************* to pay all claims owed. I have sent multiple demands for payment. On August 28th, 2023, I hosted a benefit concert and used Brown Paper Tickets to process ticket sales. We sold $5,660 worth of tickets, which meant we broke even! However, after the event, we never heard back from Brown Paper Tickets: their phone lines were disconnected, and they seemed to have run off with our money. What is most surprising to me is that they seem to be allowed to ******* people of their money with impunity. We had an event held in April of 2023. We sold tickets online through their website in the amount of almost $4,000 and never received a ***** from them. They will not respond to numerous emails and have disabled their phones. They are still operating and ripping people off according to the numerous other complaints listed here and elsewhere. Brown Paper Tickets owes my ************************ *********************, $3,750.00 for advance online tickets for a fundraiser that was held on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Once the event was completed they were to send us payment within 7 - 10 business days. After 2 months, I tried to contact them by phone which there message states that they are not providing phone service at this time. I have made several attempts to email them and every time an automated email returns with a ticket number for my issue and that someone will be in touch soon. The only personal email response that I did recieve was stating that my bank account info was not in their system. I updated this information for the direct deposit of my payment. I used brown paper tickets to sell tickets for an event I was promoting & playing at a venue in ********** ************ on January 20, 2023. I raised $750 in sales through brown paper tickets, and already paid the fees, and only received $50 out of the $750 I'm promised. *** sent numerous emails, via my email provided & member number # *******. Never received any responses
