***************************** utilized Brown Paper Tickets for online ticket sales of a production that occurred in July of 2023. We did not receive the funds collected and after contacting support as well as Events.com support, we have not received a single response from Brown Paper Tickets as to when we can expect to receive our funds. Brown Paper Tickets provides ticket sales processing for an annual event by ************* Society of ***************, a 501(c)4 social organization. Funds are supposed to be automatically transferred within 10 days of the event closing. We have not received funds for the past two years' event, which has occurred in on October 22, 2022, and October 21, 2023. We are owed $4,125.00 by Brown Paper Tickets according to their website and our records. Brown Paper Tickets has disabled all phone and email customer support, and does not respond to social media inquiries.Initial Complaint

I used Brown Paper Tickets which is owned by Events.com as of October 2022 to produce 3 Fund Raising events and have not been paid the $11,346.00 that is owed for alomst 60 Days. I used BPT CC processing, so all of the funds went to them. I have tried may times to reach them through several Inquires by email since we cannot call the buisness, and have not had anything except a auto Response.. My hopes are to reslove this issue as a misunderstanding as I have been a happy cutomer of BPT since 2014. I will not use BPT or events.com until this is resolved. I contracted with Brown Paper Tickets (***) to handle online ticket sales for me for an event I was organizing and promoting. Tickets sold well and the event went ahead in March 2020 and was very successful. I fully expected to receive a check from BPT for the tickets I sold through their company. Because of the disruption caused by Covid the company failed to pay thousands of promoters and groups for whom they had accommodated online ticket sales. I was one of the many people unpaid. In my case the company voided a check made out to me for $2680.00. I contacted the company multiple times without reply or payment. In October of 2022 BPT was acquired by Events.com who undertook to pay all the outstanding debts of BPT. I also contacted Events.com multiple times without reply or payment.Initial Complaint

I represent the ********* Singer/Songwriter Series ( an all volunteer 501c3 entity) and since 2013 we had used Brown Paper Tickets for the public to purchase tickets for our events. The dollars for those events charged by the public would be direct deposited into our checking account. The ********************** website states that the funds would be transmitted within 10 days. For the most part, the funds were deposited, sometimes taking up to 3 - 4 weeks. Currently we held an event on September 22, 2023 and there were $570 of ticket purchases made through Brown Paper Tickets. Our non-profit community theatre has used Brown Paper Tickets for several years. Paper Tickets has not responded to requests for payment of three shows over the past year. Total due to our organization is $1,758. The money and associated fees were collected by Brown Paper Tickets but they have not paid our organization for ticket sales. On March 25, 2023, our church held a fund raiser to support migrants and refugees in out city. We used Brown Paper Tickets as a media to sell tickets to the event. We expected payment within 10 days after the event so the funds could be immediately transferred to the organizations we are supporting. It is now December 7, 2023 and we have yet to receive the funds despite numerous efforts to collect. We have also contacted Events.com who is acquiring Brown Paper Tickets and has a requirement to make all payments to complete the acquisition. There has been no response from either organization and BPT has ceased any sort of telephone support, so it hasn't been possible to speak with anyone. The ****************** in *******, a not-for-profit arts organization, has had an account with ***************************************** ticket since 2010. Currently brown paper tickets has over $30,000 that belongs to us. I have sent multiple emails and attempted to communicate with them through social media and telephone, and I have not once had a response about why we are not being paid out in a timely manner. We are a very small theater and rely on ticketing sales in order to pay our small staff and our expenses. This has been going on since August 2023. Our ticket sales go through brown paper tickets. We used Brown Paper Tickets to sell tickets to an event in July 2023. We sold $28,000 worth of tickets. According to the *** site, they reimburse you within 10 days. It's been over 4 months without payment. There is no phone number to call and they do not respond to e-mail. We paid the facilities, staff, guests, etc, but have yet to be paid by Brown Paper Tickets. DO NOT USE Brown Paper Tickets for your event. You will not get paid.
