I live in ******, **.My daughter, uses this auto for, school, business, work. She is only 17yr old. When she left she intended to find parking without having to pay, since she knows that 95% of parking requires a Major Credit Card to pay, which she does not have for reason why she did not pay. She called me about the Diamond parking ticket. She the next day, forgot about the ticket in her car, and I am just as guilty since I forgot. On Easter Sunday morning we were running late for church thanks to the **************** Ferry System. As we drove through West ******* my wife said she needed to use the toilet and could not wait until we got to the church. She said that there was a toilet at a nearby bakery, so we pulled into what I now know is a Diamond parking lot. I saw a pay by phone sign, but I don't have that Particular app on my phone. I looked around and there was no other payment option available. I was starting to download their app when my wife said "Sorry, but I gotta go. You come with me and buy 2 scones while I use the toilet. If we do that we may still make it to the church in time." It took us 5 minutes to get to the bakery and return to the car. When we arrived at the car a Diamond attendant was standing beside our car and handed me the attached ticket with a sincere "Sorry, but I've already printed the ticket!". I'm sorry, too. Sorry my wife didn't use the toilet on the Ferry. Sorry the Diamond attendant was not around when we arrived. Maybe he is authorized to take cash. Sorry that Diamond provided no other option for paying. Sorry that I couldn't quickly download Diamond's parking app. Sorry that a 5 minute stop under stressed circumstances in a good sized parking lot with no more than 3 cars in it resulted in $65 "Parking Notice", which is an outrageously excessive fine for the crime committed. I'm happy that my wife didn't wet her pant's. Happy I was able to very quickly buy two scones "to go" thanks to there being no line in the bakery. Happy we made it to the ************* service in the **** of time. I'd also be happy if Diamond would forget about this No Advanced Payment parking notice and if informed of the circumstances would kindly gift us a 5 minute stop in their parking lot. Thanks for understanding ........

Good day,I got a parking ticket from this company. The parking ticket was issued on Mar. 26 , 2024.The property used to be a public parking of *************.The notice of it being now a private parking is not very visible as it is located above a post about 10 feet high and there is no pay booth in the location. As indicated in the receipt, I filed a dispute hoping for some consideration but was denied. The ticket was paid today and again Im hoping for a refund (full or partial).Thank you.

      Hello,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, to prevent it from happening again in the future. Please note, this property, (and any property that is not City managed) is private property and has sufficient signage throughout the location.  One of the terms and conditions of parking here is that you may park for free while conducting business on the lot. You are not permitted to leave the lot for any amount of time or reason with out your vehicle.  You were witnessed by the patroller doing so, which resulted in a notice being issued to your vehicle.  Your vehicle is pictured parked directly in front of a large sign on a light post.  There is also a photo of your car with multiple signs face level as you would leave the property (Attached). Unfortunately, this notice is valid.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory but will not pursue further.

If it is as it is stated, I will no longer argue with it. I know about the signage on the fence but I thought those are the only ones reserved and the rest of the parking was still with ************* as free parking. I was thinking of going to the mall after my lab works but after seeing the ticket I decided to go home instead. Also, I wasnt the only one with the ticket and I saw all the other vehicles in the same area have it in their windshields. I just wonder if they had the same thoughts that I had then. Lastly, I think its my right just go to social media and perhaps totally avoid going to this place.

      Sincerely,

I just received a parking ticket from lot location A793. The reference #**********. It states that there was no advanced payment but I was trying to scan the ** code and pay for my slot. It was assigned at 6:51 PM. I paid for parking at 6:55 PM (which I submitted with this) and was attempting to enter in the information required. I have always paid for my parking and was simply trying to do so but got charged. The few minute difference was not me trying to pull a fast one but simply trying to get the license plate and payment information on the payment platform which I was new to. There are no other comments for the ticket to indicate how I was reissuing the payment. I did not realize that there was a ticket being issued or I would have tried to show my screen with me paying since is attic to look at the sign and make the payment.

Diamond Parking Services, LLC We parked in a lot of there's last evening, paid $18.00 ticket online with a QR code that was posted and left for our appointment. Returned 2.5 hours later only to have a notice left on our car that reads "NO ADVANCE PAYMENT" I did only pay for 2 hours, thought we could get things done in that timeframe. Its a bit excessive to charge people $56.00-$86.00 for a half hour overdue. We are willing to pay some restitution, but not a excessive amount like this.

      Hello BBB,

Diamond Parking has received the complaint pertaining to the above referenced case number for the Parking Owed notice received on: Thursday 3/28/24, at 8:28pm for location SD015 located at:***********************************************************.
It was noted that they paid for two hours of parking through the ********* mobile app at 6:09pm on 3/28/24, which their session then expired at 8:09pm. They received a Parking Owed notice for parking past their paid time.We allowed a few minutes for a grace ****** prior to issuing them a parking owed notice, and at 8:29pm they still had not made a payment to extend their parking time, which resulted in a Parking Owed notice being issued.

I was given a ticket by diamond parking company while in the parking lot of my school ****************** company on 8948 202St ******* for leaving the parking lot without my vehicle. I in fact did not leave the parking lot and I happened to be there helping my teachers with a new class (which I have a note for now) I tried to dispute the ticket for that reason and also for the fact the address on the ticket was for consolez movie theatre. My emails were ignored for over three weeks, I have an email thread saved. Refused to dispute my ticket as they say it was the right location and i left the parking lot and i dont have a parking pass (which i talked to my school about and they said no one has one) They then increased the ticket price and told me they are taking me to court. I have the Ticket number saved. They also said I was ignoring them which I wasnt. The ticket went from approx $170 to $300 They still take weeks to get back to me and its very stressful for me to handle as the communication isnt there.

Dear BBB, Yesterday, Sunday March 25, 2024, we parked in a lot that clearly had a pricing sign for Diamond Parking Service. We anticipated paying $2, as our visit to ********************* was only going to be for a quick pick up--and indeed, we were in and out in about 5 minutes. I only had a $20 bill, so I planned on getting the $2 in change, to then put in the slot for our parking. But when coming outside, already we could see under our windshield wiper a ticket--for $65!!! I am writing here to protest this horribly expensive fine, and also to complain about the fact that I didn't even have time to get change to pay the parking fee. $2 for hour is totally reasonable. But $65 for a fine is outrageous, unfair, and feels simply like highway robbery. The reference number is # **********. I hate to put personal information here, but there is a picture of the license plate on the ticket. The car is a VW. The address is **************** S. next to *********************. The bakery was not busy at all, so truly, it was an in and out quickly visit. I hope you can let the company know of my complaint. Thank you for your help.

On 3/24/2024 at the **** Snorkel ***** parking lot i was issued a parking ticket after hours. Ref# ********** None of the entrances to the parking lot state its a pay parking lot, nor does each parking location have a sign. This is ******, very few lights in parking lots and none in this one so seeing these signs is virtually impossible and it appears to be the clear intent of this company to increase their revenue by making it difficult for visitors to know its a pay parking spot. On 3/21/2024 around 6pm, we parked our car at *******************************************************************. We got a parking ticket from Diamond Parking after we finished dinner. This parking lot is exclusive for customers only and Diamond Parking claimed us "walked off towards north" of the parking lot. This is not true and we did eat in one of the restaurants in the parking lot, called ******************. We paid with cash in restaurant on that day so unfortunately we didn't have receipt. The parking ticket we got with reference #******** and our car license# ******, asking for a payment of $86.5 if paid within 10 days, or otherwise $126.5. I am rejecting this response because: Thanks for your reply and update. I am aware and understood the rule enforced at this parking lot. However it is unacceptable and outrageous to charge us for the things we did not do. As previously mentioned, we did not leave off the parking lot. We did eat in one of the restaurants in the parking lot. We were not able to provide a receipt as we happened to pay cash to the restaurant at this time. I don't think it is reasonable, and there is no one or no sign ask us to pay restaurants with credit cards and keep our receipts, just in preparation for a potential parking ticket. As in my original letter to Better Business Bureau, I've indicated my position clearly, and we cannot pay for something that we did not do. Thanks for your understanding!

      Sincerely,

At 12:14 pm today I pulled into lot A817, operated by Diamond Parking Services. This lot has no attendant booth or representation on site. Upon seeing the sign indicating to pay using an app, I went inside the cafe I was visiting to use WiFi to download said app in order to pay. At 12:16 pm a $65 ticket noting No Advance Payment was issued. While still attempting to download the app, my wife informs me of the ticket on our vehicle. By 12:21 I was on the phone with Diamond Services who were trying to explain that if I paid anyway, the lot manager MIGHT dismiss the ticket. I emphasized how this felt like a PREDATORY business practice, ticketing a person in the process of paying and not guaranteeing the ticket be cleared. I was also told that IF I paid the lot manager MIGHT down grade the fine to $16.50. Which is still an inappropriate response considering the posted fee for the total time we were parked was $2. When I asked for the contact informacin for the lot manager, I was told that information wasnt available. Again, there is no onsite attendant to speak to, so I have to rely on the person on the phone to relay my information to the manager in hopes they MIGHT hear out my dispute. This is clearly a system designed to EXTORT people to pay hefty fines or face being sent to collections. A collections agency from what Ive been told is owned by the same people as Diamond Parking Sevices.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The lot manager for lot A817 located at *********************** in ******* called me on 3/20/24 to discuss the ticketing procedure and heard my complaints regarding the process of paying, lack of representation at the site and the difficulty in providing proof of timing by either the lot owners or users. He agreed to waive the fee and wipe out the ticket.

      Ticket reference# **********

      Sincerely,
