I was at **************************************************************** in ******* ********** a month and half ago. I parked there for lunch with family and friend, obviously I paid for the parking and before entering the restaurant. This was on March 18, 2024. The time was 12:30pm and I left around 1:35pm. I just received a letter from Diamond Parking LLC stating that apparently I didn't pay for the parking along with the late payment and additional fee charged. I paid with my credit card so I still have the statement of it and since I did pay through their QR code online method, I also have a screen shot of that proving that I indeed paid for my parking. This felt like a scammed since they didn't reached out till more then a month later. Today is May, so its been almost two month since I was at that location.Business Response

I am filing this complaint regarding an unfair and misleading parking penalty issued by Diamond Parking Services on 4/26/2025, in Lot 1089. I parked at this location in the evening, paid for my parking through the PayByPhone App until 8:10 PM. At 8:04, I realized I needed to extend my time, I attempted to do so by extending parking through the PayByPhone app. I have a screenshot Confirming parking extednd to 9:20 PM. When I returned to my car I found that I had been issued a citation demanding a $75 fine. I emailed Diamond Parking, submitting a copy of my screenshot, and was returned "apeal denied." I called Diamond Parking in ******* and explained what had happened and my complaint was "escallated". I received a response reducing the fine from $75 to $25.2 I should not be required to pay a fine, when I had attempted to pay the extension, and have a screenshot showing my parking had been extended to 9:10. The processing of the payment did not complete, when I checked the app it was still "processing". I reached out to PayByPhone, and told they couldn't help me. I just want to pay the correct amount ($3.65) without penalty. I demand that this citation be voided immediately, as I made every reasonable effort to comply with the payment process but was misled by the flawed payment app. Diamond Parking Services should take steps to ensure due process rather than exploiting customers with unnecessary fines.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Were happy to reduce the parking notice to $3.65 at this time. Additionally, well follow up with our vendor (PayByPhone) to investigate why you were unable to extend your parking. Its possible that the network coverage in the area was poor at the time.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you!

Request for Reconsideration Parking Ticket Issued on April 17, 2025 Dear *********** am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the handling of a recent parking violation issued to me by Diamond Parking on April 17, 2025, at 8:43 AM, at ****************** (Lot code 4732), *******On that particular morning, I encountered an unforeseen delay which prevented me from purchasing my parking ticket on time. I was able to secure the parking ticket at 8:55 AM, approximately 12 minutes after the violation was issued. I immediately took responsibility and submitted a formal dispute, along with supporting documentation that confirmed I had, in fact, paid for parkingalbeit slightly ********** my dismay, my appeal was denied without any indication that the provided explanation or evidence had been meaningfully considered. I have been parking at this exact location daily for over a month without any prior incidents, as I work in the nearby ****************. I have always ensured that I pay for parking and comply with all posted regulations. Despite my efforts to explain and dispute the fine, I ultimately had no choice but to pay the $86.50 penalty, in addition to the $9 I had already paid for the actual parking that morning. Effectively, I was charged twiceonce for parking, and again with a steep penalty that seems disproportionate for being a few minutes late. This feels not only unfair and unethical, but also inconsiderate of the broader financial difficulties that many individuals are facing right now due to rising costs and inflation.I am not disputing the importance of following parking regulations, but I do believe there should be room for reasonable judgment and empathy, particularly when the delay is minimal, documented, and the individual has a strong track record of compliance.I would greatly appreciate a reconsideration of this ticket and, if possible, a refund of the fine paid under these circumstances.Sincerely,******Business Response

Hello,
Our goal with any customer,is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
Please note that this location is private property and all parking rules have been created by the property owner(s). Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility.
The lot in which the vehicle was ticketed is pay parking at all times while the vehicle is parked on the facility. For convenience, payment is available to be made on a cell phone. This allows payment/extra time to be added easily.
We have however, reviewed this case/appeal and see payment was made within a reasonable amount of time.We will reduce this notice as a one-time courtesy. I will have one of our Customer ********************** Representatives reach out for the refund of the reduced amount. Thank you. Have a great day!

Hello,
Our goal with any customer,is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted. It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use. I have reviewed the notice and see it was issued for Failure to Pay, not for plate entry error. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot, however, the receipt submitted was for payment for the **********************************************, not Diamond Parking. As a one-time courtesy we would be happy to reduce the notice to the daily parking rate on that day. This amount will hold on the notice until the end of day Friday May 2, 2025. Thank you!

On 4/12/2025, at 9:15pm according to the parking ticket. I parked my dodge avenger at 6:20PM, paid for parking at 6:24PM with the park whizz app. The parking attendant happened to be checking the lot at that time, as I was walking away from the lot, I showed him my parking confirmation and pointed out where I parked my car and he said everything looks good. So then I continued bout my day, cam back around 11:40PM and there was a parking ticket by parking diamond service for improper parking. I am disputing the validity of the claim for which I received this ticket. Considering the fact it only says "improperly parked" as the reason behind the ticket, although as a paying guest, there should be no reason for me to receive this ticket since The car (dodge avenger) was parked between the yellow lines like every other car. There was not blocked pathway, no restricted area, not in any handicapped parking, no proximity to fire hydrants. There was no actual reason I could think of on how I parked improperly. I am genuinely confused on how and why I got a ticket. This has been my first parking ticket Ive ever received. There is no reason/explanation for how the car was "improperly parked. As well as no photo to support this. I am also in disbelief on the fact that I am a paying guest and did my part to show my parking confirmation with the parking attendant as I was walking away from the lot, and get penalized for being a paying guest? This is unbelievable. If you are going to ticket someone for improperly parked, provide a comment/reason on how they were improperly parked. At the end of the day, with the process of elimination, I still could not visually see and tell how I was improperly parked.Business Response

Hello *******,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They have put a courtesy void. As for the photos, it shows that the car was not over the yellow parking lines. From The drivers seat side there was not much room to get out since there was obstacles/garbage dumpsters which prevents a person to get out of the car.

Parked at Diamond Parking lot D508 next to the ******************************** at 11:00am. Used most Northern Terminal to make a credit card payment for 0-12 hr.s.I followed the instruction on the *** and received a message (with a red screen background) that read "Payment invalid". I removed my card from the machine and waited until the terminal went back to it regular screen (that shows the steps necessary to pay for parking and how to use the terminal). This time I placed my ********** card into the machine and started entering the requested amount of time, the parking space number, etc, then pushed the button to process my payment. This time the screen turned Green and the screen read Payment validated (or somewhat the same verbiage), showed the parking space that I had payed for, and that my parking was validated until 11:00pm. Then we took the ferry to ******* to catch the Mariners Game. When I returned to ***************** I found a "Parking Notice Fee Enclosed" envelope on my windshield with a reference# ********** stating that I was being charged $51.50 (if paid within 15 day, and $83.00 if paid after 15 days).I have attempted to contact Diamond Parking every day, twice a day since I received this ticket and their answering machine goes straight to a voicemail saying they "are not taking calls at this time". I will try for 10 days, twice per day- then I will pay the $51.50 and go to small claims court and request a refund of all of my payment, minus the original parking fee that I had thought I had paid. This appears to be a concerted (and well-known) effort to scam residents (there is no other long-term parking near the ferry terminal). I encourage anyone who has been a victim of these practices to contact Bainbridge Island City Council. Demand a public comment forum with City Council to address Diamond Parking, and revoking Diamond Parking conditional use permit, so that this lot can be run by an honest company. Diamond Pkg should not be on B.I.Business Response

Parked in a parking lot that Diamond Parking controls, on 4/8/2025 at around 6:47pm. No physical kiosk to pay for parking, phones can't scan ** codes and there was no website listed to pay for parking, only signs to scan the ** code. Ticketed at 6:58pm while eating at the venue next to the lot. Have tried to pay the ticket through the website they have listed on the ticket, for the amount of $46.50 (original parking cost was $6), and every time an error occurs saying that it 'failed to process request'. I am concerned that I will continue to get errors trying to pay until after five days, which they will raise the cost of the ticket to $83.00. First ticket with Diamond Parking.Business Response

Thank you for taking the time to relay your recent parking experience with us. I understand the frustration with the mobile payment option, while it is a new and exciting method for payments, it is not without its hiccups. For future reference, the ParkMobile signage with the ** code (the green signs) have both the site (*************) and the location code listed right under the ** code for easy reference should you want to utilize your mobile browser rather than the ** code.
The signs also have a toll free number you can call ***********) or a number you can text Park to (*****) to make a payment should you want to avoid the mobile internet experience all together!
I havent been able to recreate the error you are experiencing on our website, and would encourage you to try again on a different browser. Or you can call ************** to make a payment. It looks like there are still several days before a late fee is incurred, so you should be all set in regards to that. Here is the link to the website that you can pay: ***********************************************
Thank you again for relaying your concerns, we are always looking for insight into evaluating and improving our signage and will take your experience into consideration moving forward!
Sincerely,

Was issued a payment notice citing "failure to pay" exactly a minute after I paid at the pay machine.Further details enclosed in the document attached. I understand that it takes time for the pay station ****************** data to sync, but I shouldn't have to waste my time appealing a ticket that's issued due to the limitations of Diamond Parking's hardware and management.
