Shady business practice. I scanned the ** to pay at the *******************, got a $1 pending charge from MDSS.NET although I selected $15.71 for 2-hours, came back to find a man from their tow truck crew leaning on my car hood on his phone, another on front of my car looking inside, and an unpaid parking ticket stating I owe $49.95 issued minutes after I left the parking lot. I filed a dispute online, didnt get a confirmation, so emailed local business manager *************************. Didnt hear back until 2 days later from National confirming my dispute and asking for time to review my dispute. Two days later my credit card that was charged $49.95. Hmm.. that means (1) they are trapping people by issuing tickets minutes after leaving the parking lot, knowing their ** pends your credit card and (2) charging you a higher charge because you didnt pay. Shady vultures. Dont ever use their parking services. I initially wanted them to just confirm they found my credit card as proof and remove the unpaid ticket warning. I wanted to pay what I owed them the $15.71. Now, after charging me $49.95 for unpaid parking, meaning they found my card and pending charge as proof I tried to pay and their system was at fault, I want them to waive my fee and remove my credit card from their system.Customer Answer

******** from Diamond Parking called me to adjust my balance to $0 & confirmed that I may have been a victim of a QR code scam. Financially resolved. Not sure if you should put out a notice that these parking lot QR codes are being targeted for scams.Business Response

Thank you for allowing us the time to look into this complaint. The MDSS.NET provided by the customer was unfortunately a fraudulent site and not a method of payment for this parking lot. We appreciate the customer bringing this to our attention and have since spoken to them and voided their notice received.
We have also implemented further processes to ensure that any fraudulent QR codes found on our locations are dealt with in a timely manner.
We consider this matter resolved.

I unintentionally parked in a time-restricted parking space at my employer and was issued two tickets on May 19, 2023. I paid the ticket by sending a check in the mail for the two amounts combined. The check was returned to me with a letter requesting a lesser amount. I issued a second check via the mail to Diamond Parking. Now, two months later, I am receiving calls from a debt collector saying I have two unpaid tickets. As of yet I have not received any clarifying statements or insights from Diamond Parking.Business Response

I received a parking ticket where there was no signs stating no parking or private parking only we searched for signs before we parked there, came out with a parking ticket and searched for signs again. There were no signs. I followed the directions on the ticket to detest it, which was by email. I have emailed them 2 times and got no response. I have 15 days now 8 days to pay my ticket or the price goes up. I need them to respond to my email, I refuse to pay something that was not laced or marked. And I will not pay the higher ticket price because they cant respond in a timely manner.Business Response

The date of the alleged violation is June 16, 2023. Notice # ******** Around the third week July I received a notice from Diamond Parking dated July 18, 2023, that payment was now past due and I now owed them $126.50. Diamond Parking claims I parked in the ******* parking lot on ************ in downtown ********* on this date and I walked off the premises. I have shopped there many times, and at no time after shopping and I returned to my car, was there anything from Diamond on my car: no ticket, no stickernothing. No notice had been left on my car, but a Past Due notice is sent. They claim a Payment Notice (**) was left on my car but there was nothing there when I returned ***** minutes. I contacted Diamond and asked for a copy of the ** attached to my car and/or a photo of the ** on my car, but they said they cannot, and do not have to provide that. They are also not able to show any proof of me walking off the premises yet their officer had a camera, and could have easily taken a picture of me as he did of my vehicle. The photos shown on their website do not have any date stamp. I shop at ******* frequently and these photos could have been taken at any time. Just because I did not enter the store through the stairwell or elevator, does not mean I did not go into *******. I went out the Davie exit and walked up towards the ******* entrance. I do not have any receipt from ******* for that day because I had no reason to keep it. Had there been a ** on my car, which I assume would have stated the violation I committed, I would have kept it. I used cash, so theres no credit card record either. I expect a complete dismissal for their failure to provide me with the information I have requested regarding proof of the payment notice on my vehicle, and of my leaving the premises. Doing so would be decent and diligent business practice.Business Response

Hello,
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted. It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use. I have reviewed your ticket and see it was issued for unauthorized parking as you were parked in a stall reserved only for ******** We are contracted to issue a ticket to anyone seen leaving the facility without your vehicle. The patroller witness the occupant leave towards the BC liquor store. Standard practice does not include taking photos/video of persons directly as his eye witness is sufficient, however, it does include leaving a notice on the windshield with photo evidence to show. This was not seen so I can cancelled as a courtesy despite of the eye witness and lack of receipt from ******** Please be sure to adhere to posted sign regulations ongoing. Thank you!

Predatory Service. My GFs car has been broken down for 2 months and she was lended a vehicle from the mechanic for free, knowing how hard it is to afford a rental and pay for a repair at the same time. We struggle for parking on its own in the area and would frequently park in the ******* lot across from our place for an hour or so to make time to find a spot on the street. Summer fest is a huge festival that rolls into our area every year and clogs everything up for one weekend. This is the time we were stunned to find a ticket on the windshield of the car. There happened to be approx. 5 cars in this particular lot when we were cited. I have just paid the fee (which gives you 15 days to pay without an extra fee, without stating properly that its 15 days in hours, not end of day 15) and was charged extra for paying 2 hours after the 360 hours allotted. Im struggling, I feel used. Cheers.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: your ticket does not provide a time when the vehicle was first sighted. I have been here long enough to recognize a sign when I see one. Showing me a PDF copy of a sign does nothing for me or anyone else. I was wrongly ticketed and request more information proving my wrongdoing. Until you meet the burden of proof, Diamond Parking has wrongfully cited yet another victim.Business Response

There have been two times in the past year that we have parked in downtown ******* at a Diamond Parking owned lot (International District to attend Sounders game) where we have directly observed intentional dishonest behaviors by parking attendants to try and scam for more money. Last September, we paid the parking fee in full and via our Tesla cameras, witnessed the parking attendant watch us and wait for us to walk away and wrote us a ticket for failing to pay at the SAME exact time stamp as the time we paid and charged 4X the amount. They dismissed the penalty after we proved we had cameras showing her scam. However the second time in July, we paid again in full at the lot with the one available event rate however when we got back to our car, there was a ticket saying No advanced payment. When we complained to the parking attendant, he said the time for the event rate expired a few minutes ago and we now needed to pay 4X the original amount. Note that there were no other events on this day as the other sports team playing had an away game that day. All cars in the same lot had received the same ticket on their windshield. We have a receipt proving we paid the $20 event rate on the day (only 2.5 hours prior to them saying it expired). It does not seem reasonable to now ask us to pay an additional $65 on top of that.Business Response

Reference #**********. Hello, I parked my car at A433 for 3 minutes when I was working on Uber eats orders. There is no street parking available, I drove around to find parking but nothing is open and I was late for my order pickup time. I had no choice but to park in public parking to get my order. I waited in the restaurant for 2 minutes to get help from waiters then ran back to my car to start my delivery. I only make approximately $5/order but I got a $65 bill for parking there for 3 minutes. Im just working very hard to make a living and I will make sure to pay for it when I actually need the parking space for a certain amount of time. Please review my case and let me know if I could get my ticket refunded. I already paid the ticket in full. Thank youBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: Im willing to pay for the actual time I parked there, which is under 3 min. I parked there cause I was in a rush and no other options I had. I didnt even have time to pay. $69 for a 3 min parking is not fair.

Unethical, billing, and collection practices. I received a parking citation from Diamond parking. Issue date February 28, 2023. Parking fee of $46.50 plus $6.50 handling fee. I have contacted Diamond parking at least five times via the phone to dispute this. I do not currently nor have I owned the vehicle noted. Not to mention the issue date I was in the ***************. I sent notice of dispute via email yet still receive notices of collection. After contacting diamond parking services again on 725 2023 and spoke with an agent. He informed me that my email to dispute was sent directly to their general mailbox, and not as a reply.I have never received an email from diamond parking services, only mail correspondence. The latest notice includes a $30 late charge for a total of $83. These are 100% bogus charges on a vehicle that I have never owned. Theyre attempts to collect money. With no burden of proof. I have had hours invested in this, including going to the state department of licensing to prove I do not on that vehicle. Being told that I have to follow the rules of Diamond parking system or they will continue to pursue collection.Business Response

On July 23, 2023 I parked at the ************ (**********, **) paid parking. Following specific instructions on the signs, I paid the parking fee using the *********** app. The fee was charged to my registered credit card. The app notified me that time was running out so I purchased additional time on the app. Upon returning to my vehicle I had a ticket stating that I had not paid for parking. July 20th I parked at one of their locations and paid $10 for 2 hours. The receipt said the payment was declined but when I checked the credit card it was deducted.I could not add to a declined payment or pay again as it said declined. I came slightly late and find a ticket. I sent a dispute and explained the situation and attached the document but the reply was an automatic one not caring about the real issue which was from their machine. I called them and they were rude and not listening, even the managers. They told me that my dispute was sent 2 days later and it should have been the same day!!! At the back of the ticket it said I have 10 days to dispute. They just cut the phone on me without listening. I think there must be some kind of regulation about this kind of behavior.Business Response

Hello,
Please note that this location is private property and all parking rules have been created by the property owner(s). Diamond Parking has been hired to enforce these parking rules as posted on the property due to the unauthorized use on the facility. The lot in which you were ticketed is a pay parking. Our patroller has no way of discerning how long your vehicle would remain parked without having paid past the ************. We do provide multiple apps to accommodate adding time to your parking without having to be on the lot as an alternative. The ticket had nothing to do with the decline. The notice was issued for an unpaid plate as your parking time expired. We have however, reviewed your case/appeal and will reduce this notice as a one-time courtesy to $60. To have the billing adjustment take effect please contact our office at ************ and quote your reference number by the end of day Aug 31st. Thank you. Have a great day!
