9/4/2022 parked at a diamond parking lot; paid for 2 hrs; tried to use the additional parking app to lengthen the time but app didnt work; went to lot was 3 mins late & found a ticket for $65.50. I emailed Diamond asking for a review explaining situation; as of today havent heard from them. They indicated on their return email they would review the complaint however if they found it wasnt paid within 15 days the amount would go up to $95.99. Since I didnt hear from them on the 15th day I paid the ***** ($1 handling fee). I would like my money back. Being 3 mins late shouldnt bump up a $2/hr amount to over 12 times the amount. The ticket ref no **********.

      Hi,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued to prevent it from happening again in the future.  Your submitted statement requests from Diamond Parking an explanation.
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted.  It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use.  I have reviewed your ticket and see it was issued at 7:41pm for Time Expired as you exceed the posted 1 hour *** slotted at this location. In your online complaint you also stated you do not recall being parked for that length of time and request proof.  Please see attached photos taken by the patroller, of your vehicle parked and plugged into a charging station at the facility with a charging progress time on the machine, and a time stamped photo for your reference of your vehicle plugged into the station.  Thank you!

      Regards,

September 28th, 2022 We received a parking ticket when we paid in advance. There is nobody to speak with, nor does the ticket itself have a phone number to call. There is no "Checker" listed as the person issuing the ticket, nor is the parking spot itself listed. We were parked legally for the building There is inadequate lighting around the kiosk and where the one light is located, there was and still is a hypodermic needle. The ticket appears to be a scam and is over 17 times the amount that we paid. $51.50 for an hours worth of parking? How is a company outside the *************** allowed to issue tickets? This so called ticket, if is actually real, needs to be cancelled with proof. Reference ********** 9/28/2022, 8:11 PM.Please clean up your parking lot and have the police remove vagrants from the lot.

In reference to #********, we have contacted the parking customer directly and have voided the ********************** notice as a courtesy. Our system does not show a payment on any of our on-line applications for your vehicle on 9/28/22. There must have been a system failure in the application used to pay. Were looking into it further to ensure it doesnt happen again.

We have also taken measures to ensure the lot it free of rubbish by moving our lot supervisor checks closer to dusk to ensure a cleaner lot in the evening when its busier.

      We consider this matter resolved.

September 27, 2022 parked in standard parking space in ********************* garage for 54 minutes (90-minute free garage). Returned to car to find $65 ticket stating "improper parking." My vehicle was parked perfectly straight and very close to cement post in order to fit nicely into spot, just as I park in that same garage several mornings every week. Photo taken upon my return shows my car parked on the right. In contrast, another car parked on the left in the photo intentionally used 2 spaces. The other car had no ticket and the lucky owner drove away before Diamond ticketed. (view uploaded photo to see obvious discrepancy.)

I received a Past Due Notice from Diamond Parking a few days ago. It is for a unauthorized parking violation. I have never parked in that lot and certainly not anywhere near the lot at the time this supposed violation occurred. I tried to ask for proof from customer ********************** but the response was that the officer witnessed the driver and/or passengers of the vehicle leave the property without the vehicle. When I demanded proof of the violation, they instead ask me to provide proof that it wasn't the case. How can I proof something that didn't happen? If I did park there and walked off the lot, then I will pay for the ticket. But I didn't and I am very upset that I have to waste my time to deal with this. I actually had an ultrasound appointment on the other side of the city on the day in question so I remember clearly that I went directly from home to the appointment. But I don't feel like I should be the one trying to proof my innocence when Diamond Parking is just writing fake parking tickets. I want to get this parking ticket cancelled as soon as possible because I don't want any further problems if I ever park in one of their lots in the future.

I parked in lot number ****, whose advertised price is $4.00 for two hours, or $5.00 total for the evening. This is very clearly stated on the sign in the parking lot. When I went to pay, the only option on Pay By Phone was to pay $20 for an all-day fare. Figuring I could call customer ********************** and get $15 or $16 back, I tried to pay it online with Pay By Phone. It had two errors but on the third try seemingly went through. Yet when I came back an hour and a half later, I had a parking ticket for $68 on top of the already $15-$16 I was owed. I have photos of the parking sign showing what should have been a $4 charge. I also checked my bank and saw the $20 charge did go through eventually. So now I've been charged essentially $88 dollars (if you count the ticket price) when I should have owed them $4-$5.

On July 18, I paid in advance and parked in their location in downtown ********* mentioned on the ticket attached. When I returned I found a ticket on the windscreen. It was for parking in a reserved spot. I have contacted them several times asking for the pictures showing the spot marked as reserved but they haven't provided any yet. The pictures on file on their website do not show reserved sign anywhere. However, I took a picture of the rear of my car and underneath there are yellow paint marks. They denied my appeal claiming that it reads "reserved 24 hours parking" however it is very clear that the writing is completely unreadable and incomprehensible and there are no alternate overhead reserved signs. I feel cheated because they haven't maintained their premises properly by having clear signs and I am having to pay for their negligence.

We parked in a lot owned by Diamond Parking and paid all requested fees at the kiosk which was located in the lot. Despite paying for the parking, we received a notice of unpaid parking fees. We sent proof of payment (our credit card statement showing the charge) however, Diamond Parking is alleging that we did not pay and is threatening to send this to collections. I this is a scam and they are trying to extort money as we don't want our credit damaged. Please help us resolve this issue.

The business is trying to charge me for parking in ****** downtown after hours. There's a parking fee ($35) as well as a "handling fee" ($6.50). What a joke. There are no signs clearly posted about pay. Every single car in the lot (about 30) had a "ticket" on it. I looked and didn't see any signage for Parking Diamond Services and can only assume that this is a scam. I have found news articles supporting this. If by some means they are a legitimate business then they are engaging in predatory practices and can only assume is illegal. If they are going to claim that they have clear signage then they need to explain a 100% ticket rate. You can't have both.

Hi there,On September 15, 2022 I received a parking ticket at the plaza in the **** block of ************. I was on my way to work and at 9:35 am, I parked in the restaurant plaza parking lot as I wasn't feeling good and I thought I would pick up a Tea at Coco's or something to eat. It didn't look like any of the restaurants were open so I googled the hours I read that the 4 restaurants in the plaza opened between 11:00am and 12:00 pm. I got out of my car and went for a walk trying to get some fresh air. I continued a little further, less than one block from the plaza, and found a coffee shop. I had to wait to place my order and when I returned to my vehicle I received a ticket. I was back in my car at 9:55 am. The ticket comments that I was walking towards west which means someone was watching me waiting to give me a ticket. I called Diamond Parking Services to explain my situation but they said I should have parked in the parking lot near the coffee shop that the parking lot was for customers only. I would have been a customer but nothing was open at ******. ********************** was not interested in my story. I would like my parking ticket notice to be dismissed.Thank you,****

      Hello,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued to prevent it from happening again in the future and to then provide a resolution.   Please note that this location is private property at all times and all parking rules have been created by the property owner(s).  Diamond Parking has been contracted to enforce these parking rules for the property owners due to unauthorized use on their property. One of the rules posted  states that drivers can only park their vehicle while they are a patron of said business on the property, and if a driver leaves the property without their vehicle they will be subject to ticketing and/or towed.  We have reviewed your account/appeal and reduce your notice in half (of original) as a courtesy.  To receive this reduction please contact our office at ************ and quote your reference number. Have a great day!
