I received a letter 7/27/2022 from Diamond Parking stating I was being fined $53.00 for parking "my" ****** in ******* on 2/23/2022. I do not own a ****** and have not been to ******* since the Pandemic. The license plate they reference is on my cargo trailer. It has never been out of *******. I followed the company's guidelines (RE **********) and wrote a letter 8/2/2022 detailing these issues to Diamond. They wrote back 8/9/2022 and denied my "appeal" saying my truck and trailer had the same plate registration from different counties. I live in ******* County and all my vehicle are registered here with no duplicate plate numbers (which I do not think possible). I sent them a picture of the plate they reference as it sits and has always sat affixed to my cargo trailer. Of course there is the threating debt collection verbiage. I do not see how a private company can fabricate information about what I was driving, where I was in February, send me a threatening letter demanding payment, then not see they are grossly mistaken when I point out the facts.

      HI ****

WE have received your BBB# ********

We are in receipt of your BBB Complaint and understand your frustration when getting a notice, especially when it is not the right vehicle. This notice was based off the license plate number that was on your trailer and the *** listed you as the owner on file. After looking into this more, it was discovered that the MT *** uses the same numbers on multiple plates, but they differ due to a space. We have touched based with them and found the right owner of the ****** and have sent the info to them.

I have been quite ill lately and saw the doctor and she sent me for blood work at the lab. I parked near the lab in the adjacent parking lot that was mostly empty. I didnt see it as a problem that the lot was patrolled as I needed to purchase some food from the grocery store in the parking lot after leaving the lab less than 100 feet away. I didnt want to purchase the meat before going to the lab as it usually takes a while, as it did this time. After leaving I purchased my groceries and noticed a parking ticket on my windshield for $80. They left the ticket minutes after me leaving my vehicle. They were watching and waiting. Horrible business that the city should not allow. This isnt the first rotten and scam like story I have heard about them, not even close.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/08/2022

There is a sign saying that the lot is being patrolled for customers only. Not paid parking. I had to visit the lab 100 feet away before purchasing my groceries in this parking lot where I was ticketed for walking off the lot.

Good day - Looking to kindly resolve a parking citation I received on a property that I am authorized to park my vehicle on. I am employed with ******************* located on *******************************************. My vehicle was tagged for parking in the ********* section for over an hour. For that day, our designated bank stalls were blocked off and occupied with work trucks and heavy machinery for roofing and maintenance work around the building. I appealed my case to Diamond Parking in writing on (2) occasions as well as by telephone. I did not get a response from my messages and through telephone, I was advised to contact the local office. I contacted the ******** office and got rerouted back to the customer ********************** hotline. I visited the office to get resolution in person but office is not open to the public. I am working quickly as I understand this parking fee can be sent to a collection agency and I want to avoid having this reported and affecting my credit rating. Attached are the supporting documents and I can provide further information as needed. Please also note that my coworker also received the same citation but was able to get her case resolved via telephone. Regards, *****************************

      Dear ******,
We have received your BBB Complaint # ********. Diamond Parking strives to provide five-star customer **********************; engaging and helpful, informative, and accurate. We do apologize for the lengthy response time; we attempt to handle all calls and disputes in the order that they come to us and to reach out to customer and follow up with all customers.
We can understand how parking can be difficult when there is construction that disrupts travel and parking. Parking passes or monthly passes are valid in their select areas and zones they are designated. If parking is full, even in the case of construction crew, parking would need to be paid for in another location. Each parking lot has terms in conditions on how the parking lot is utilized, not all parking lots are paid parking and are timed parking only for the business while shopping. It is important to review the terms of conditions of each lot prior to parking.

      Thank you

My daughter was parked at the Cibc on 46th and ****** making an ATM deposit there and when returning to her vehicle had a parking ticket and it clearly states that parking is free while doing business with the bank. This is clearly preditory ticketing since now she has to go through the process of filing a complaint with Diamond parking and this takes time and effort which they count on people not to do.

On 8/12/2022, I received a collection notice from Parking Services, A division of Diamond Parking Services, LLC, stating that I owed $83.00 for a parking violation that occurred in the city of ****** on 7/1/2022. It has my correct license plate number but wrong vehicle make. I can prove that I was not in ****** on this date. I have not called the company because it feels like a scam. So I also posted this in the BBB Scam tracker. The notice uses standard boilerplate collection language and references a Number **********, License Plate *********, Vehicle Make NISS (I drive a ****** Outback), Issue Date/Time 07/01/22 at 15:24, Location Willamette and 12th and reason, "No Advanced Payment."

Received a past due notice from Diamond Parking. Had no idea I had a parking ticket for "Unauthorized Parking". My car had no ticket on it.There are no signs anywhere in this area saying no parking. I feel this company is preying on unsuspecting mall customers by issuing them $125 parking tickets and saying they are in violation of parking restrictions. How can one park in the mall area to shop close to where you live, and receive a parking ticket when there are no signs or road paint to indicate otherwise? (I took pictures the other day as proof. Their photo shows my vehicle parked next to the silver Chrysler)This is a convenience strip mall at ******* and ********* in Richmond, where one parks for **** minutes to do banking, get milk and groceries or get car insurance. There are a few restaurants as well but I have only used the ****************** at the other end of the mall. (Not on this occasion).I use **** Shoppers, Fruiticana, Subway and Liquor Store on a weekly or monthly basis. How can Diamond Parking get away with trying to steal my money like this? It is outrageous! In no way did I impede or park irregularly. And if I knew it was restricted, I would not park. I am a patron of these businesses. and it is an insult to them as well.Am requesting that Diamond Parking address their non-existent signage and re-tract this parking ticket #********.Thank you.

      Hi,

Our goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property and has the parking rules posted.  It is to be monitored at the request of the property manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location faces due to unauthorized use. Please note, on this lot ************************ you are not permitted to leave and patron ************, or elsewhere while parked here.  Being witnessed doing so will result in a ticket and/or tow. There is ample signage not only in this area, but through out the rest of both properties stating these rules. Please also note the caution painted on the driveway property line warning that you are about leaving the shopping centre.  I have attached a ****** map snippet and circled the signs just in the area you parked for reference.  Your desired settlement requests a billing adjustment from Diamond Parking.  We will adjust your bill to half of the original amount as a one time courtesy. To proceed with the lowered amount please contact our office at ************ and quote your reference number.  Thank you

On 7/31/22 I parked in a lot at **** ************ in PB, **********. ************************ minutes free parking for customers at this location. So I was not even there 90 minutes, and received a notice. That was because it took a while to get my shake at cold stone, because I didn't validate my parking right away. I was talking with my friend for half an hour or so. Then got my shake and validated my car. Reference #**********.I was a customer there for kess than 90 minutes and I disputed the notice via email. They were rude and shady. Saying I will receive a reduction. Then I said no! I want it free like the sign says. Even after showing them the receipt of the location if the business in that parking lot. Denied. This is not just. And I would like it dismissed.

Parked in Diamond parking lot identified as Zone **** on the ParkMobile app and on the sign at the entrance. Entered my license plate # correctly and paid for 5 hours. Returned to my car with 2 hours left to find a ticket. The meter agent entered my license plate # incorrectly on the ticket. I called today to remedy and was told by the customer ********************** rep that she corrected the ticket to now show that the meter agent entered it correctly and it is no longer showing an error. She also stated they cannot verify that I paid and stated I would need to prove payment and license #. When I asked to speak with a Manager she hung up me. I have since e-mailed and received a response that if I e-mail them again it will be an automatic denial of my appeal. It is not an appeal, they fraudulently gave me a ticket after they received payment by entering my information incorrectly then correcting after the ticket was issued. I would like confirmation that my ticket has been voided. This company needs to be held responsible for their fraudulent business practices. Reference # is ********** and I have screenshots of the history. My parking history was deleted on the app after I called even though I had accessed it prior to calling and luckily got a screenshot it is no longer accessible.

I understand it is frustrating to get a notice when you have paid for parking, but this sometimes happens when plate numbers are entered incorrectly, both from customers and our meter agent. When things like this happen, we do ask and need to have proof that it has been paid in order to void or reduce all notices.
With *********** all you need to do is go to your history screen and send a screen shot of the transaction. This tells you what lot, plate, last 4 of card was used, and what time it was paid for. We need this info to be able to help take care of any notice for any customer. If you have issues, you can reach out to *********** and they can send you a physical copy of your transaction history.
We can not speak for what occurred when you asked or requested a manager, it is possible the call disconnected and was not able to be transferred. We do and are open Monday-Friday, 8 am to 7pm PST. If we have issues or problems, you can reach out and leave a voicemail for managers and we will respond, within a reasonable amount of time (usually within 3-7 business days).
I did attempt to find the email you sent to us and could not locate one. But we do say that if you send in multiple emails, it can delay and defer both a response and resolution, leading to decreased satisfaction. And any additional emails would be denied, as duplicate emails are not considered valid for resolution and are thus void.
I have voided this notice as a courtesy void for you as I do not see any other notice for your plate. Please reach out to us if you ever need anything else.

      Thanks

      Better Business Bureau:

Although the response is satisfactory it is misleading and not fully resolved as my e-mail to them is stated by the business as never being received and has not been responded to proving that they have voided my ticket (see e-mail attached sent prior to filing this complaint).  The response also states that I was simply disconnected which is also untrue as the agent smugly stated they do not have managers or supervisors and when I pressed her hung up as is stated in numerous complaints against this business.  I accept the response that the ticket is voided but would like proof e-mailed to me directly from this company as well as the attached e-mail and these additional pieces of information be included in my complaint that can be viewed by the public so this company is not able to falsely explain with lies how they attempt to fraud people.

Diamond parking changing their rates monthly when we have already agreed upon a set monthly discounted amount Due to us renting a retail space in the Alaskan Junction. They are extremely rude and the cost goes up every month due to ?taxes?. I asked them if taxes have gone up from last month and the month prior, and she just said yes.Its impossible to get a hold of someone, and then when you do they are rude and could care less about making sure we get our monthly passes. Then, because they are hard to get a hold of and pay our monthly passes, our employees get tickets often because we dont have our monthly passes, and then those tickets are impossible to get off. They tell us if the employees end up getting a ticket, to just let them know, but often times the tickets go past the 14 day dispute., Which can affect their credit. Its getting out of control and they need to be held accountable.

Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
