NEGLIGENT AND CARELESS MANAGEMENT. Less than a week after moving into one of their properties my car and several others were broken into because the garage gate was broken. Apparently this happens very frequently as they do not maintain the garage gate for functionality. Management is behaving like their hands are clean, though they neglected to increase security patrols or any other security measures while the gate was broken. Of course, the lease is designed to protect them from any liability and for that reason, they do not/will not/don't have to care about tenants, tenant safety, tenant property, or fairness in any regard. This business needs an audit and better consumer standards.

I moved to ******* about 10 months ago after my employer had gone out of business. I had very limited time to sell a home in another state and move here for a job. I found Desert Mirage apartments and signed a fourteen month lease with the previous property management company. Recently I discovered that the actual market rent for the two bedroom unit that I am in is more than $400 less than I am paying. My lease is not up until November but thought I would reach out to see if they would be willing to do the right thing and reduce my rent to what it actually should be. I started with *******, the property management company out of *******. After multiple unreturned voice and emails (except the automated one that said that "a Fiver would get back to me - proving that it was received), I reached out to reached out to the onsite management team who refused to return any of the four emails that I sent. After finally catching them in the office, they agreed that the rent was wrong and the manager stated, "I don't know how they got away with that!" She then agreed to reach out to the owners to get approval to reduce the rent. After numerous additional unreturned calls and emails - I was told (after paying short on my rent because I didn't have an answer), I was told that they would not do the right thing and continue charging me more than $400 per month than the actual rent. Do not rent at this, or any ******* properties! There are many more choices - find one!

You should not, under any but the most dire circumstance, sign a lease at Ironwood. Here are some reasons why.Currently Ironwood has more than 25 two bedroom units coming available by the end of the year. There is good reason for this, it's because no one wants to stay here.By default, Ironwood will attempt to increase your rent 10% after your first lease term. Don't accept it, move elsewhere. After attempting to increase rent, property management had to drop it again because it was absolutely outside market range for the unit. But management doesn't care, they just hope you accept it, after all they have all the power.By default, management will charge you exorbitant cleaning fees for the smallest thing they can find after you leave. Just return the unit however you see fit, you won't see your deposit regardless.Upon move out office staff will claim they have sent you your deposit. They will not actually send you your deposit. Instead, you will be ghosted. Any attempt to talk to a person in the leasing office gets you someone with no power to do anything to help you. If you lease here, expect you will never see your deposit again, regardless of the state you leave the unit.If you attempt to talk to someone in their office to resolve an issue, you will get assurances it will be taken care of. It won't. It will be as if the conversation never happened. Staff will take notes, but the notes are for show. There is no record of any conversation ever happening in their office, and it means they can deny that you informed them of anything. Get it all in writing or it never happened.Units have no central air or heat. Website descriptions say units have air conditioning. Air conditioning is a small unit in the front room that can't cool the back rooms, and stinks when you run it. ********* gets hot. Units have a single natural gas heater on a wall, which can only heat the front room.Avenue5 is a horrible company.

Major safety issues! The office staff refused to give a copy of incident report to ** after their BBQ exploded, due to faulty gas plumbing. This has caused 2nd degree ***** and 2.5 months of rehabilitation and scars for life. They have refused to acknowledge the emergency and post treatment bills we have accrued. Since the incident, almost a year later, the bbqs recently have been caution taped and cannot be used. 11 months! Really?

I've lived here since 2018 It has since been bought. I've always paid my rent early plus the service fee. First, I got a notice in my door I owed a late fee of $4.36,00; I got that straightened out. Today I get an email that I owe money. I keep ************ and I am a retired bookkeeper. I tired of the I feel like I'm being penalized for paying early. They need to change the payment web site. Maybe they won't be confused. This has got to stop. I don't want my credit score to be affected by their blunder.

Terrible experience working for them in ********. They hired me for a brand-new property, and then right after I started said they would be losing that property, due to how badly they mis-managed it before I got there. They then forced me to go to a disaster property where they failed to support me and the rest of the team, leaving us to deal with lawsuits, broken amenities and more. The entire team except one person now has turned in notice.Turnover is constant (I had 3 regional managers in 4 months). I had no orientation and received no training. There is no work/life balance even though I specifically raised concerns about how much they were making me work. Did not have the opportunity to attend AAMD events or company events because they wanted me to work. Had to skip HOLIDAYS because they forced me to work. Forced me to work Saturdays at properties I was never a full-time employee at. I could go on and on.All of their properties are badly run because their employees are unhappy and keep quitting, just look at the reviews for every Ave5 property in ********. I helped out at 3 of their properties in the span of 4 months, and all residents were furious because of how badly Avenue5 had done with each property. No employee I talked to had good things to say about the company. This company is seriously setting up their associates for failure. Theres been several associates who left Avenue5 recently for smaller, more stable companies. After I turned in notice, I was told that I was the problem and would have a long and frustrating career if I dont change my mindset.Avenue5 did not deliver on anything they promised me when I interviewed so I left for a better company (as most people in this region are doing). The ******** region has an awful reputation among industry professionals and residents, and now I completely see why. I didnt even scratch the surface with my experience and their poor culture, but they ultimately wasted my time. 0/10 do not recommend.
