Predatory business model that looks to trapping you year long subscriptions. They are not actually trying to provide you with a service you want, they are attempt to trap you into a contract.

This place scammed me into a 1-year "subscription" with very underhanded tactics. Stay away

I contacted Getty Images to request the cancellation of a service that I ended up subscribing to accidentally on iStock. It all started when I was browsing the site looking for a specific image to use. I ************* up to download a free image, which came with a watermark. To my surprise, I soon realized that I had been charged for a service that, in reality, I never intended to acquire.I explained in the message that, as I receive my income in reais, a currency that does not compare well with other stronger currencies, the cost of this unexpected charge was simply prohibitive for me.Unfortunately, my request for cancellation and refund was denied by Getty Images. Faced with this refusal and wanting to avoid the need to take the case to court, I decided to appeal to Reclame Aqui. I am sharing my experience in hopes of finding a more amicable and fair solution to this deadlock.

I forgot to cancel my trial subscription before the charge date. I was charged $70 for the month. I asked for a refund either one day after or the same day I had been charged. I understand if they can't refund me, HOWEVER, they revoked access to downloads for no reason when I had just been charged for the month. That is theft. If I am paying $70 for a monthly service, then I expect to have access to the services that I paid for, which was 10 downloads of stock photos for the month. Taking away my download access after paying for it IS THEFT. Do not use this companies services.

I wish I had read these first. They did the same thing to me. They charged me $70 for a subscription after I canceled it, then refused a refund. Pathetic. I'll never use you again Getty.

The short version of the story is STAY AWAY - SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. I wish I had looked them up here before enrolling in their "free trial." Sure, it's free to start. We looked around and realized they had little to no assets we could use for the specific reason we started the trial. We grabbed one generic background vector image before canceling on the SAME DAY we signed up for the trial. Then, boom, a month later, here comes a $70 charge. I contacted them within minutes of being charged telling them I had previously cancelled well before the time frame of the trial ended and they told me they are firm on their no-refund policy. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I've never had an experience like this with any similar company.

Reading the other reviews I see I have fallen victim to questionable unethical business practices. I signed up for a free trial which I had cancelled, and despites contacting them immediately once I saw the charge, I was informed, there was no way to cancel. Now I am being charged randomly however they wish. Requests to connect with someone higher up were denied. They are a shady business!! Stay away!!

Free trial is the worst on the planet. I could not easily figure out how to cancel my subscription and there was no indication of when the trial would end - they give you "credits" during the free trial which I assumed that once expended, the trial would be over and one would expect a warning or something similar instead of being charged $70 in the middle of the night. I emailed back to their CS team explaining that I cannot afford a $70 hit to my bank account and they replied in cold fashion "We are firm with our refund policy, we will not be offering a refund." Yea, you aren't offering a refund because you made it a headache to even cancel the subscription in the first place and I don't have time to just casually hit the company up with a phone call or an email. Here's a shining example of a "free trial": ******************** had a free trial for their coffee, I checked it out and was required to enter CC data. I was pleased with the service, but the product was not what I expected. I went to my account and there was a button on the settings page that allowed me to cancel the subscription right away. Done and done, 2 minutes and I was unsubscribed. Not this sneaky business! They make that difficult so they can entrap people in their terrible "non-refundable" policy. NEVER EVER coming back to iStock or Getty and NEVER EVER will recommend them. 0/5 Stars

I canceled my free trial within the timeframe required. Actually, within two days of starting it. A month later I received a charge for $75. I immediately contacted customer service who told me they re-cancelled all of my access to their services and would not charge me again. They stated they will not refund my money per their billing policy. I told them I followed their requirements and they fraudulently billed me anyway. They continue to tell me they will not refund my money. I have filed a fraud claim with my bank. Wish I would have heeded others warnings.
