This is complaint. My pet Georgia was at the ********************* location on March 25th @ 9am for a Echogram. As I was sitting in the waiting area I heard her crying in pain. Every time I bring her for any services, I let them know she's very tender at the areas of her legs, and they have to hold her like a football. She is very tiny and fragile. That morning I told Caden ( front desk) the same thing, as how to hold her when he took her to the back. Luckily I stayed instead of dropping her off. When I heard her crying, I approach the desk and ask Caden why she was crying, his response" they giving her the test", I ask another associate who is a regular staff member and is familiar with Georgia, why was she crying .. same answer. Once the associate who was assisting the Echo Contractor, brought Georgia to me, I asked her why was she crying... she stated" we had to turn her on her side for the test ". I explain she is fragile and that why she was crying in pain, because they were hurting her. To this day, I can't pick her up, she cries. I schedule an appointment with another animal hospital to examine her. I have been a client of Banfield for many years with different fur babies. I am extremely upset about this. They treated her as if they was not aware of her fragile body, and maneuvering her body while they were hurting her. Basically they force her body to maneuver for the test. She is a mini toy poodle. Once the hospital let me know what is actually wrong with her and it stemmed from her treatment at Banfield, I will definitely email customer service, etc. I call customer service and told them the issue as well. This is horrible.Banfield Pet Hospital

My initial complaint was with the customer care team. I explained what happen and to cancel her plan with them. My pets have been patients for over 18 Years. The team *** took my complaint and said someone would call me from the hospital location. I spoke with ***, who is familiar with my pet. After explaining to her the incident and that EVERY time Georgia has treatment there, I reiterate to the team that she is very tender around all 4 legs and they will have to hold her like a football and that she is a jumper. *** stated that she will notate in her files to take extra precaution when handling her. She has been av patient for 10 years and no one thought that was relevant enough to notate until now after she has been injured. I took her to different hospital and they stated she was limping, and after examining the area, it was painful. She has a future appointment for an Xray. I explain to ***, once the technicians realized that Georgia was scared and resisted, they should have stopped and advised me if the situation. They could have recommended a mild sedation to relax her. But they continue to force her on her side and I heard her in the waiting area yelp for a length of time. I am saddened by this action and very upset, more so because I have to watch my fur pet in pain until the find out the problem.Review fromAaron I

I received a call from a collection agency stating that i have a $1300 balance for services that were covered by my ************** policy". The problem is that I NEVER RECEIVED A BILL from banfield before it was sent to collections! And trying to explain it to them is like trying to pull teeth from a 10 year old.Banfield Pet Hospital

My complaints are not about the Banfield doctors. I genuinely cannot fathom how they can continue to have such incompetent office staff. No consistency with scheduling and confirming appointments, they cannot follow instructions, dont read the forms they have us fill out which causes a lot of duplication, and give inaccurate estimates for time and pick up. Several times now Ive made appointments where theyve asked me to move to a different time, yet we still end up waiting awhile in the waiting area and then the room. Latest issue which has me leaving this review is I made an appointment online, later receiving an email that my appointment was confirmed. Then I got an evening call the night before my appointment calling for appointment confirmation which I missed. The next day I get a call asking to push my appointment online and then get scolded saying they left me many voicemails to confirm my appointment to which is said it already was per the email. She said that doesnt count and I need to call back or respond to the text, which I shared that I didnt get. She proceeded to still tell me its my fault. I said maybe she needs to report it up the chain about the multiple conflicting statements, lack of text, and the fact that I didnt receive many calls.Long time Banfield wellness plan member for both my dogs, but we will be canceling because of repeated issues with office staff, wait times, and missing/incorrect information.Banfield Pet Hospital

My overall experience with Banfield Pet Hospital was extremely negative, resulting in my dog sustaining injuries for over a month. I had received a quote from Banfield for a spay procedure at $600, with an additional $160 for medication. However, the issue arose when my dog developed a hernia, which was later discovered to be due to the incorrect size of stitches used by Banfield. When I brought this matter to their attention, they attempted to charge me for an examination of the surgery they had performed. They informed me that additional tests, including an x-ray and ultrasound, were necessary, which they charged me over $400 for. The total cost for the surgery was then quoted as over $******* response, I sought assistance from a low-cost nonprofit organization that performed the necessary repairs for only $300. The low-cost foundation informed me that the surgery performed by Banfield was unacceptable and that they had used the incorrect size stitches. My dog, a German Shepherd Husky mix, required a size 0 stitch, which Banfield had used size 3, which is inappropriate for such a large breed. The stitches subsequently broke within a few days of being implanted.Subsequently, I discovered that Banfield Pet Hospital operates on a commission basis, which explains the excessive charges I incurred, including pet visit fees for each appointment. After seeking help from the low-cost foundation, I realized that the x-ray was unnecessary. The prolonged injury to my dog had a significant impact on my daily life, as I was required to be with her 24/7. This situation also had a negative effect on my mental well-being, as I was constantly concerned about her condition and her inability to move, play, or interact with her brother. The financial consequences were substantial, as I was unable to work and missed family gatherings during a planned vacation.Banfield Pet Hospital

Terrible experience! Ive been a client since 2005, but I had to cancel my wellness plan due to their complete lack of responsibility and carefor both pets and their owners. They simply do not care if your pet is in pain. For example, my cat had a painful tooth infection that spread to his jaw. They made us wait seven days (with my cat in constant pain) for surgery. Then, on the day of the surgery, they left me a message saying they couldnt do iteven though I had already sent all the necessary X-rays and test results in advance to confirm they were capable of handling the procedure.Their receptionist, Miss ******, assured me that the veterinarian had reviewed the exams and that their vets were skilled in even more complex surgeries. Yet, when the day arrived, they canceled last minute, leaving my cat suffering for another seven unnecessary days.If that wasnt enough, I scheduled an appointment for my other cat, who was experiencing nausea and occasional vomiting. All he needed was a Cerenia injection and some exams done , But once again, on the day of the appointment, they canceled and told me to go to ****** instead.Every time I needed helpno matter how simple the issue is they cancel the appointment at same day and leave a message to you . They dont even have the respect to talk to youBanfield Pet Hospital

Title: Beware of Banfields Unethical Wellness Program Billing I want to warn fellow pet owners about the Banfield Wellness Program and its deceptive billing practices. If your pet passes away before the end of the contract term, they will retroactively charge you full price for all services used, leaving you with an unexpected and outrageous bill. Our pet passed a month before our plans renewal, and despite our loss, Banfield hit us with a $500+ bill for routine wellness exams and vaccines we had already done. Instead of showing compassion, they kept us on hold for over an hour and refused to waive the charges, threatening to send us to collections if we didnt pay. This practice feels like nothing short of corporate extortion. A wellness plan should provide peace of mind, not become a financial trap during an already devastating time. Buyer bewareread the fine print before signing, or better yet, take your pet elsewhere.Banfield Pet Hospital

We have had the wellness plans for 2 of our dogs for several years. This location has been continually declining in quality of care. We were just told they will no longer have any in-room appointments, and all appointments must be drop offs all day or "sit in the lobby for 1-2 hours and we will treat your pet when we have time." This is ridiculous for our dogs who are stressed at the vet. The staff is a rotating door due to having way too many pets to care for, and everyone seems incredibly overworked. When trying to cancel our wellness plans they refuse to stop the charges until the entire year expires. They need to limit the number of pets they accept at a location if they cannot keep up with the ones they already treat.Banfield Pet Hospital

If your dog has passed away and you have their wellness plan you are subject to keep paying even though you no longer need their services or did not fully use their services within that pay cycle. This is whats happening to me.Banfield Pet Hospital

Banfield Pet Hospital and their wellness plan are a joke! They are still making me pay them for a wellness plan of my soul cat that I had to euthanize due to their wellness plan they provide or lack their of.. They will take advantage of you and make you think you’re getting a wellness plan that isn’t real. They are a horrendous, disgusting, corporate establishment with only manipulating and malicious intentions for a money scheme. I’d rate 0 stars but there isn’t an option! I would never ever recommend this company or the plan to anyone. They don’t care about the wellness of animals. They only want to take your money and won’t even bat an eye as they do.Banfield Pet Hospital

I will never use Banfield again. I spent $500 getting my dog euthanized. I then cancelled my insurance and was told all I could do was not renew my policy but had to pay for the rest of that year, 6 months, over $300. How appalling. Certainly shows Banfield priorities. Be very careful going thereBanfield Pet Hospital
