      No stars is more appropriate. I love my local clinic, staff and vets, the most caring loving folks imaginable. I called to cancel one of my pet care plans, due a animal passing away which is my personal heartbreak. No services used, 10 days after renewal and you CANCEL ANYTIME. ***** on 3/7 1121 CST demanded a reason, and I told him one was not needed, its my right. He said "YES YOU DO, ITS OUR BREAD AND BUTTER". NO I dont. Cant reach management to discuss his remark no one has the intestinal fortitude to call back.

      Hello, I pay over $87 as part of a puppy plan for vaccine shots, spay surgery, and exams. My 6 month old puppy went in for her spay surgery today, and was declined to receive pain meds or a cone upon discharge because we could not pay an additional $169 today. They claimed they spoke with me at 10 AM to receive authorization for that, but that never happened, and I can easily prove that considering I changed my phone number on 2/18, and had not yet updated them. They called my husband at 10 AM instead, just letting him know that my puppy did well during surgery and to provide two hours, and said nothing about additional charges. I informed them I get paid in two days and they are unwilling to work with me despite perfect payment history. They've already sent my account to collections even though all of this took place within the last 1 hour. ******** is the manager I spoke with who was obscenely insensitive to us, and informed me that my "poor dog" will need pain meds and a cone, but reinforced in the most condescending way that they would not be providing us with any assistance. I immediately transferred services to another location and am researching where I can obtain a cone and meds for my puppy since I do not have any money until Wednesday.

      Banfield has changed a lot. I took my dog ??5 days ago to get him checked out for a skin problem and the doctor prescribed some medicine and he had an allergic reaction that almost killed him. Plus, they have him registered as an animal and he is not an animal at all. They are evil. I called them to have them see him and they never answered my call. Until today, I have my 2 dogs with their insurance but I am thinking of getting them out of there. It is not the first time they have done something like this with my animals. What is happening with that veterinary clinic? They should change all their veterinarians and employees and at least rotate the locations and open 24/7.

      I recently took my cat, Rocky, to Banfield Pet Hospital in ********* due to a concerning bump near his tail. I paid for a physical exam, but the vet was unable to complete it because my cat was aggressive. While I understand that some pets can be difficult to handle, I expected a professional veterinary team to have solutions, Instead, I was left without answers and still charged for a service that wasnt fully ************ make matters worse, I called them today to ask about next steps, and they told me I would have to pay again for another exameven though they didnt complete the first one! If the hospital cant handle a cat, then how are they qualified as pet doctors? Pet owners trust vets to provide care and solutions, not just charge for incomplete *********** extremely disappointed and feel like I wasted my money. I hope Banfield improves how they handle difficult cases because pets deserve proper care, and owners deserve transparency in pricing and service.

      There was once a time that I loved Banfield, but I have been sorely disappointed by them in recent years. When using them for my cat, I used their kitten plan to help cover the cost of getting him fixed. The office ripped enough fur from his skin, he apparently needed additional stitches. This was in 2023. I still had my monthly payments due to cover the cost of having him fixed, and this went through mid 2024. Because of my issues with billing and payments, I had requested an end to our service and no renewal once it was over. There were no charges on my card until October, when they then started back charging me, and I have been charged every month, WITH the occasional late fee. I did not even know they were still charging me. Then when I try to call them about this issue, they insist they cannot talk to me, only my husband, even though they were charging MY credit card. This was annoying enough, but even upon getting him on the phone and "cancelling" the account, they refused to offer any sort of refund for the months of a plan we had not authorized, and had not used, stating that it was set to "auto renewal" and that there was nothing they can do about it. Why do these companies never care about doing the right thing anymore for their customers? It's all about hanging on to as much money as possible.

      January 24th my dog (****) had surgery for a mass removal. I had a estimate done with ******* on January 18th where I knew around the cost give $100-150 which I figure would be higher but when I went in to pick him up after the surgery I wasn't really paying attention to the cost I was paying, I was just focused on **** and how the surgery went and everything I needed to know about home care. So on Sunday when he was more relaxed I was looking over the bill and I was in shock it was almost double the price. So on Tuesday I called to ask why the price was so much higher than the estimate they said she would have to talk to the ** and manager so I waited. On Wednesday I received a call from the manager which at 1st she asked what my question was and I was alittle upset because why wouldn't she know the reason why she was calling in the 1st place. So I explained it all again and there was part of the conversation that was silent but I waited because I was determined that no way I was paying almost double the estimate. So she did give me a credit which I expected and I was happy that they did give me a credit. The surgery went great and his test came back negative. Don't get me wrong I would pay what ever I needed to for **** but when there is an estimate that was given before surgery I expected around that price not to be shocked after the fact. I've been going there before it was Banfield and I was alway happy so when this happened I was upset and surprised and Happy about how they handled it.

      I was advised by the *************** to walk over to Banfield, (before heading home after picking my Yorkie up from a PS stay)to see if her symptoms of lethargy, diarrhea, no appetite, etc. could be caused from an allergic reaction to the Bravecto. that she had taken, while at the hotel. She went in, healthy, and exited shaking (I later found out, the shaking was from pain), lifeless and I was told she had diarrhea before I picked her up.The woman who helped me at Banfield listened to Lucys symptoms and told me she thought she was stressed from being at camp, away from me, and that I should: take her home and let her acclimate to being back home with me, and if shes not better in a couple of days, bring her back in. The store has cameras, (the manager told me) so I know the conversation is on their camera!(Lucys on Banfields Wellness program, and I was not offered to have her checked by a vet and no vitals were taken.) That should have been done, regardless! Within a few hrs.. later, that same day, I rushed **** to Metro Animal Hospital, despite Banfields advice. She required emergency surgery for a hernia, which was taking her life!She would be gone, had I listened to the dismissive, negligent med. advice from Banfields front end help. **** made it through the surgery, Im thankful to say!Banfields billing ***** told me that I cannot be released from Lucys wellness program, even though their poor medical advice would have cost **** her life, had I listened to it.The billing **** and Banfields manager, told me that Ill be billed for 2 more cycles, until my contract is up, even after I showed their manager my ******** ER bill!The manager told me that this sort of care will not happen again, when **** comes back into their facility.I will never bring her back to Banfield!Please do the right thing and release me from this contract!! Keeping me on such an agreement, when you know whats transpired, is unconscionable.******** ********

      If I could give 0 stars, I would. I brought my dog in for allergies and to have a lump on his back reassessed in early October 2024 (it is now Jan 6, 2025). The lump on his back had grown from when I took him to another vet clinic and wanted a 2nd opinion. Banfields doctor said it was nothing to worry about. When I asked if it was affecting organs she said no. Something in the last few weeks told me to get it looked at for a 3rd time, and now I have to pay $7000 to get it removed as it has been closing his r***** for a while. If I dont get the surgery my dog will die. I dont have that kind of money as I just had a baby at the end of October. I will be filing a complaint on the careless doctor. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!!

      I took my sick pet to a Banfield hospital in **********, *****. Without my ********** they gave her a rabies vacination without evaulating what was wrong with her first and when the veterian came into the examing room, the first thing that she said was "I love sick animals". After running blood tests and other tests they sent me home with 2 medications. All of this cost me over $500. They said the would call me the next morning to see how she was doing, She passed last the hour after I left their office and they didn't call me the next day, I had to call them.I talked to other veterians after this and they all said that you never vacinate a sick animal. I wait until they are healthy, They said that my dog could have an adverse reaction from vaccination. Reactions can range from fever to seizures to autoimmune disease to anaphylactic shock and even death.
