As you can see from the previous posts this hospital is literally only about the money. My dog and I have been trying to get in for our wellness plan appointments and its taken them over a month to even get back in touch with me. The suggestion to reach out to their care team is an empty action because they do not behave any differently than those I am complaining about. Thinking of filing a complaint the Ohio Veterinary Medical Board and encourage those that see this to do the same if they are not satisfied with their services.Banfield Pet Hospital

My beautiful ***** *** was a fun, energetic service dog for me, a healthy 4.7 lbs Yorkshire terrier in perfect health, living a spoiled life. She thrived on ******* fresh food, but then things took a turn. After much consideration about her size, I finally agreed to have her spayed. However, just before the procedure, her kidney numbers spiked, and the vet recommended placing her on the Science Hill renal diet to lower her levels for a minimum of four weeks. After this period, her numbers showed improvement, and they suggested that this diet should be her long-term nutrition plan. I followed their advice and proceeded with the spaying.Within a month after the surgery, ***** had dropped to 3 lbs and appeared quite fragile. Despite reassurances from her nurse and doctors that she was within an acceptable weight range, I grew increasingly concerned. I continued to feed her only what the vet and the Banfield nutritionist prescribed. However, not three months into the recommended nutrition plan, my beloved ***** tragically passed away. An autopsy revealed the harsh truthshe died from being abnormally small for her size due to a lack of nutrition, dehydration, and hypoglycemia resulting from the very diet they prescribed. No amount of apologies can mend my broken heart or bring ***** back, but I want her story to serve as a reminder of the importance of listening to our instincts when it comes to the health of our pets. Also, please do research on your vets, the foods, and everything recommended, and make sure your vet specializes in the breed and size of your fur baby. I trusted Banfield to know what was best for my pet, and now she's gone. Knowing that a change in her diet and more attention to the details of her breed could have prevented this only makes it hurt worse. Their treatment before her spaying was exceptional, but the care and concern for her after her spaying killed her. I know my family will recover, but we will never return to Banfield again.Banfield Pet Hospital

I want to file a complaint with Banfield Hospital. I was on an agreement plan with them. My pet passed away during COVID and they continued to charge my account still over a year later after them being notfied that I could no longer use the services. I did not received any mail concerning them reactivating my account and now they want me to selttle 1 1/2 years later for $415 after my dog passed. This is ridiculous. Even as a person who passes away all expenses are relieved. Unbelievable, that they would do such a painful to a grieving owner of an animal.Banfield Pet Hospital

We had a terrible experience with Banfield resulting in the loss of our beloved dog. I have tried emailing all the addresses I could find on their website and have had no communication from anyone to apologize for how we were treated. When we tried calling to cancel our wellness plan, we were given a very callous response that we would need to continue paying, not even a "Sorry about your loss".Having tried to contact them to let them know of our experience they seemingly don't care and could not be bothered. We will never take any animals to a Banfield in future and advise people to avoid them and their wellness plans.Banfield Pet Hospital

I was told its not going to be charged for my pets blood work with the wellness plan I had before confirming the appointment. However after done the blood work I was asking to pay $190 for the blood work actually other vets clinic only charge $120. What kind of joke with this s**ting so-called Wellness plan is. Now I even cant cancel it because its under contract. When I argued with them, they simply explained that the person answered the phone was not clear about my plan. I write this review for pets owners to avoid the wellness plan they provided. Basically you pay $500-$600 per year just for a few vaccines that it can be done less $100.Banfield Pet Hospital

Im extremely ******. They made me schedule an appointment after i was just here last Saturday. All I need was flea tick meds. Got there early. They Wouldnt check me in. Finally Checked me in at 10. Waited 25 min after check in. They called another person first. We were both telling the lady that I was first. She talking bout the computer says otherwise. They finally call Ace. The vet tech says you didnt need an appointment for that. Gave me the price and said Ill check you up front. So now, I took off work more than needed, Im running late now, and I have to take him home before going to my next appointment. I asked the receptionist on Saturday why if he literally in the back. Complete waste of my time. Because of their contract, I am stuck for another 10 months.Banfield Pet Hospital

Absolut joke of a company. The staff at the *********************** are rude and condescending. They really try to shove the wellness plan down your throat, and if you don't want it they completely change how they treat you. They have arbitrary rules like only one person can be the owner of the pet and only one owner can sign for things...even when you have a wife or husband take them. Terrible experience and I am actively telling everyone I know to stop going there.Banfield Pet Hospital

Their puppy plan is a scam. Theyve been charging me $50 a month for 7 years and wouldnt let me cancel. When I attempted to I was told by an automated message that I wasnt on file even though I had the paperwork in front of me. How can they charge if Im not in their system?! I had to have someone at the local store call corporate and tell them my dog died just so they would leave me alone. And they still charged me for that month the next day. This company needs to be investigated for fraud immediately.Banfield Pet Hospital

I would give the Banfield Pet Hospital at ********************************************* a zero star if I could because, as hurricane ****** approached, I was about to go on a tour which was paid for 6 months earlier. I had made kennel arrangements for my two dogs. Unfortunately, I did not realize that a canine flu vaccine was required. Since my clinic was closed, I called ********. I explained that my dogs did not need an exam or anything other than the flu shot, and that I had the paperwork from the clinic which I would bring with me. The receptionist said she understood and to bring the dogs in. Once at the appointment, I was told it would be $238. I was shocked and questioned why two flu shots cost that much. I was told that it included the exams. I explained that when I called, I specifically said the dogs had their annual exams and I had the paperwork. The vet's response was that should not have happened, and they would need to address the issue in the future, but she needed to give them an exam and charge me for both. I was lied to. The next lie was the vet insisting that this was the way all vets worked. No, she does not know how all vets do business since she has not worked at all vets' offices. She was frustrated that I complained so I agreed I to pay for both, reminding her she had me "between a rock and a hard place" because of the impending hurricane and my trip. She sneered at me, said she refused to treat my dogs, and childishly stomped out of the room. I was in total disbelief and scared. I decided to wait because I had finally agreed to the exams and the bill. I was sure that someone else would come in to settle the problem. I waited but nobody came in. I left the office with my only option was to complain to others. This vet needs to be fired. Banfield needs to be honest with people when they make appointments. I would never have made the appointment had I been told the truth in the first place. I was quite specific when I called.Banfield Pet Hospital

This facility's wellness program is nothing but a scam to lure pet owners to enlist for a monthly charge in exchange for services - on the surface it seems like a good deal but it is far from. the services/medications I was charged for were vastly overpriced when compared to other vets. Just imagine paying $30. for administering an injection to pet. I have tried calling the corporate office but my calls get bounced around. I have also tried to get out of the program but this has been difficult because the company has been using inflated fees to support their argument that they have rendered so much more in services than my monthly charge and to get out of the program I need to pay for those inflated charges. This company should be investigated for their unfair practice geared towards gouging money from pet-owners.Banfield Pet Hospital
