Filled out credit application for Kunes Oregon and was contacted by them saying they didn't have my application and that is may have been redirected to another Kunes location.

Our deepest apologies.  Your information was delivered to Kunes CDJR of Oregon through a secure channel.  However, our team in that store is new and evidently has not been trained on that platform.  We will rectify the problem.

So Im financing a 2024Mitsubishi outlander from **** ********** of *******. I financed a vehicle on October 18 of 2024. I took the vehicle in for scheduled oil change and employee admitted to not adding oil that caused engine failure. The dealership refused to replace the engine or vehicle Was told I can get a rental vehicle but now the *** complaint the refusing to give me a rental vehicle as well

      Business Response

      Date: 05/29/2025

We take full responsibility for the failure due to an oil change issue.  The vehicle is in the shop and should be finished within the next week or so.  We were unable to provide a service loaner as he did not have a valid driver's license.

I purchase a vehicle December 14th 2024 and never received my contract documents/proof of purchase documents from the dealership. I have called several times requesting my documents and being told it would be sent to me in an email. Kunes County told me I had a lifetime warrantee on my car I bought from them. When the transmission went out the service manager told me they will not replace my transmission. I made many calls to other managers and their corporate offices in ********* and anyone I spoke to would tell me they'll look into it and call me back. But not one of the people I spoke to returned my call. I've been trying to get them to honor this warrantee for 9 months. Now, I'm out $2,700 to have the transmission fixed myself.

      Business Response

      Date: 04/21/2025

We have contacted Mr. ******** and reviewed the terms of the No Fear Warranty that he was issued.  The warranty requires that all regular maintenance be performed by a Kunes location, and his was not, so the warranty is void.  Mr. ******** did ask if he can send in all maintenance records, and we will review, but the contract terms are very straightforward.  We understand that he may not be happy with this resolution, but we do believe that the matter is resolved.

This email is in response to your email from May 1st. Regarding my complaint with Kunes Country Ford is stalling on settling with me. They want me to provide 10 years of service records which are all buried in my tax records. I think this is unfair for them to request. The salesman sign a receipt for me stating that
I have a LifeTime Warranty on the Transmission and when I went to claim it they said they won't honor it.

Went to Kunes on 3/25/25 to get a new vehicle, I was told I need a co-signer which my mother ****** ******** agreed thinking I was buying the 2018 Jeep Compass for ******. They let me take this car for the night and bring my mom back on 3/26/25. We agreed to buying the car but no one went over all the numbers with us just told us where to sign. My mother is on oxygen which is why I brought her down the next day, we arrived around 5:30 and was told they were just finishing the paperwork. We waited and around 7:30-8:00 they finally came to us with a tablet to sign everything. The finance man just swiped through the paperwork very fast saying sign here and here. When we were finished signing things they brought back a flash drive with the paperwork on but no physical paperwork was given. We were told what the payment was thinking it was a monthly payment and was talking about it as I took my mom back to Sun Prairie Wi. I wanted to look at the loan information but dont have a computer at my house. I texted the salesman and also a manager to have my loan information emailed to me since I needed it for insurance no one got back to me this was on 3/27/25. I called on 3/29 and was told they would email me my loan information calling again on 3/31 since I had not received anything and after getting denial letters asking for a larger amount then the car. I was told it was the warranty and gap insurance asking again to have it emailed to me. I called again on 4/2 having not received anything was again told it would be emailed but did receive the name of the lender to put on insurance. 4/5 I was at my moms and could finally look at everything, I called again to find out why the price was different then the website I was told ******* would look over the account and call me back. I called again on 4/9 and had to leave a message for her to call me, to this day Ive never received a email or phone call to explain the price difference.

We have reviewed all contract details with Ms. Copenhefer and have found all paperwork properly disclosed and signed.  We have offered to assist Ms. Copenhefer in finding a more suitable trade in for her vehicle, and at this time have not come to an agreement.  After a sale is completed, and a vehicle is licensed and titled, a simple return is not an option.

In August of 2024 I had a engine replaced at Kunes Auto. My service representive at the time informed me that the new engine had a 12 month guarantee. While driving to ******* FL on March ****************************************************************************************************************************************************** the head. I had to pay for additional repairs at *** ******* GMC in *******. A rental so we could finish our travel, I contacted **** at Kunes GMC several times before he told me that the warrantee was now for only 6 months and that the bolt that the mechanic had to attach the engine to the frame was not their problem. I had only driven my truck a little over 4000, miles since the work was done. I cannot see how if they had to attach the engine with their mechanic and a torque wrench how I could have done something to the back of the engine where these bolts attached, Since I have returned to ********* I have made several attempts to contact **** but he is ghosting me.

Thank you for reaching out.  The engine indeed had a 6 month warranty, and we're not sure how a 12-month warranty could have been communicated.

While we cannot pay for a $3900 repair, we are willing to offer that amount as a trade-in credit.  Ms. ******** has a meeting with our General Manager scheduled to discuss a possibly trade in / new purchase.

I went to this dealership to purchase a Nissan Rogue that I called about before going to the dealership. When I got there I was told that they didnt have that vehicle. They could have told me that on the phone but they didnt. I was sold a 2014 ***** s60 t5 instead. A car that has an oil issue and also had a recall on these cars. Im constantly putting oil in my car after I took the car to Kunes for a free oil change only to have to put oil in my car 2 days later and Ive been putting synthetic oil in this car ever since that day. I was told by ***** that ** have to pay $600 for an oil consumption test which I told ***** I wasnt paying for it because the car was like that when it was sold to me therefore thats not my responsibility that should be on the dealership that sold me the car. I was told by the salesman that the car had been gone over thoroughly. If thats the case why wasnt the oil consumption problem corrected and the recall issue taken care of before being sold and they didnt. I have spent over $100 on oil since Kunes changed my oil. Also after the oil change my check engine light is on along with a bunch of other indicator lights on as well. I didnt have any of these issues prior to taking my car in for an oil change that I was constantly being texted emailed and called about. I dont understand why I had to have a co-signer for a Carnote of less than $300 a month. The mileage on the vehicle is different than the mileage on all the paperwork that I have for my car. Theres an alteration and I want an explanation as to why that is, I wasnt allowed to test drive the car on the street. I had to drive around the parking lot. I was also told by the dealer dont touch the switch for the lights and the car had ******* miles at time of purchase. Everything is all wrong with this car. The car hadnt been taken anywhere to be looked at but ******* ***** in ********** and they did a thorough check of the car and told me everything thats wrong.

While we understand that auto repairs are frustrating, we cannot be held responsible for issues that arise months after the purchase date.  Attached are customer acknowledgements that the vehicle was being sold as-is, with no actual or implied warranty, and also the customers decline of a service contract.  This is an older, high mileage vehicle, and despite a thorough safety inspections, future repairs can be expected.

Good afternoon. Kunes is lying about the length of time its been. I contacted Kunes in July 2024 which was 5 months after I got the car and they NEVER reached out to me after I called and emailed them about the on going oil issues. It was not not a year later as they have stated to you and in my emails. I still have my emails that they didnt respond to when I wanted to know about the oil change that screwed up my car. Kunes just doesnt like the fact that a BLACK WOMAN IS STANDING UP TO THEM ABOUT THEM LYING TO ME!!!! THEY CANT TAKE IT!!

April 1st 2025, I purchased a 2022 **** Edge from Kunes Chevrolet in *******. The next day I noticed there was wetness and watermarks in the car and a chip in the winshield. I called and explained this and if it wasn't resolved I wanted a refund. They said they would look at it and try to resolve the problem. I dropped it off that day and expected a call back with what the plan to resolve it was. I never heard back from them even after leaving a message and calling again. They again said they would look into it and get back to me. Nothing happened. I called on the 4th to to ask what was happening and they said they had to keep my car until Monday for a "specialist" To look at it. I explained this was my only available car and needed a loaner. They said they didn't have any. I explained this was the only car to get to work and they said they would have someone call me. A finance manager called me and said they would bring me my car at 9a today, the 5th, and schedule the repair for a day there was a loaner. They never brought me my car and today I called again and was told they were keeping my car and that I couldn't get my money back because I had 3 days to return it. I did return it and told them if it wasn't resolved I wanted my money back, that was on day 2. They have been passing me between so many people I have forgotten names of people I spoke to except ****, who sold me the car, and the finance manager. Also, I asked to speak to the general manager and was told he was busy. I feel I was scammed and they took me for a target when I came in. Initially they were trying to finance me under there poor credit financing option but I told them the rate was too high so I asked my credit union to finance me and they did. I was given a paper that had the *****. price for the car on it so I could provide my CU but after several times of asking for the bill of sale and seeing the wrong price they finally sent me the correct one. I just want my money back.

I was not satisfied with the response from the dealership. The problem was not that there was no loaner for me to use it was that there was a clear lack of communication or respect for me and my time. As soon as I made the complaint was when I received a call regarding my car and the repair process. Also, *****, the manager, stated to me over the phone that if the chip in my windshield became a problem and spidered as he called it they would replace my windshield. I have asked for this in writing and still haven't received that guarantee on paper or much less recieve a call back from *****. I gave this a week before writing this. I feel I deserve better.
