Complaint Description:On December ****** , I purchased a GotoHomedics TotalComfort Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier - 400 sq. ft. SKU-******* from Menards using Apple Pay linked to my credit card. The total charge was $94.21 and the transaction posted to my ********** account on 12/10/2024 The humidifier turned out to be defective, so I attempted to return it within Menards 90-day return policy. However, since my original credit card was replaced with an upgraded version by my bank, the old card is no longer active and cannot be added back to Apple Pay.Despite this, I still have the physical inactive card, and I brought it, along with the defective humidifier and a screenshot of the credit card transaction, to the store as proof of purchase. The store refused to process my return because I was unable to retrieve a duplicate receipt from Menards kiosksomething that is impossible when using Apple Pay.I then contacted Menards customer service, provided full documentation, and asked for either a replacement humidifier or store credit. Instead of resolving the issue, I was repeatedly dismissed with non-helpful responses such as *******, Yes, Apple Pay is awful if you don't save your receipts. I never ever use it for anything but a restaurant or something like that. Best regards, *** and Menards customer service has now stopped responding entirely.I am filing this complaint to request that Menards honor their return policy by issuing either a replacement humidifier or store credit. Product broke & package states, "If during normal use, thus Guidesman Product breaks or fails due to defects in material or workmanship, simply return to a Menards retail store for a free replay of same or similar Guides man product". Went into Menards on 2/14 at 2pm to purchase a Snow Blower, at 5:30pm I was able to assemble and start engine. Upon starting, snowblower began smoking and I uncovered it was a defective unit. I called immediately to inform Menards in order to exchange for a new unit. Was denied return due to return policy and using the unit 1 time which made item unreturnable. (Only way I would know its defective) Im asking Menards to provide me a replacement unit or credit to purchase new unit that isnt defective.Business Response

We bought a Critereon clothes dryer late spring or early summer last year. It worked fine for about a week and then just quit. When we called Menards they referred us to Midea Support. ***** Support sent someone to fix it on 3 separate occasions. Still didn't work. So we called Menards asking for a receipt. (Somehow our cash receipt was lost in the shuffle.) They can not provide us with one, and will not work with us in any way. They won't exchange it, won't give us credit for it, or anything, except get rude on the phone. So now we are out $600.Business Response

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThe clothes dryer was paid for in cash, and we cannot retrieve a receipt. ***** wants proof of purchase, even though they sent techs to work on it. To my knowledge there isn't anyone else in the area that sells these dryers. And in trying to resolve this issue with Menards, they were very rude. I assumed they would at least have a record of the serial # of the dryer and that could prove we bought it from them. I'm out $600 on a worthless clothes dryer because it was not bought with a debt or credit card. We have purchased a refrigerator, stove, and many home improvement items from this store, without a problem. No more.

Menards changed delivery dates on seven different occasions!!! They never even got it in stock!!! Menards chose to make this personal against me!!! I have been making it very well known in Paducah that the manager will still money from customers!!!

I purchased ****************** Enchanted Saddle ***** Plush carpet from Menards in ***********, wi on 3-26-24 for $1,138.32 for just the carpet. We went with one of there installers. ***** Groesback installed our carpet in April of 2024. We have been having issues with it ever since. Every time we vacuum our carpet pieces of it are falling out over the whole room. I contacted Menards and they had me fill out an installed Guest Complaint Form on 1-8-2025. Asking for our money back in full at $1,392.80 or at least half of it at $696.40. Our bedroom is NOT small in size- it is a huge room. This was one of the most expensive carpets out there. It shouldnt be falling out every time that we go to vacuum it. Our order was 408 SQFT to cover our whole room. We really prefer not to have this all pulled out again to do over and would just appreciate money back on the damaged carpet. I have videos and pictures of what it is doing- I have submitted pictures with my complaint through Menards. I have been dealing with this issue for over a month. Every time that I contact the Fond du lac, **. store where I purchased the carpet from, I keep getting the same answer that they haven't heard anything. How long is it going to take to get an answer on what the company will do about our carpet. It's not fair to me, I paid over $1,300 for this Carpet and shouldn't have to deal with this. Every time I vacuum more pieces of the carpet fall out or are just hanging there. I would really appreciate My money back or at least some of it. I would also appreciate an answer.

I have submitted several rebates and have not received them. Each time I email about issue, I get automatic response that they will get back with me (some response on each rebate). On 9/24/2024 I order two custom exterior doors that were needed as fast as possible, as winter was coming. The estimate for completion was late October. I paid in full for the doors. See paid receipt and cancelled check. 4 days later I received a voicemail from Menards stating that the company was moving, and that the new date would be sometime in January, still have voicemail. As a result, I came into the store and cancelled the order. The cancellation was prior to any work or order being started as confirmed by Menards at this time.For the next 3 months, I came to the store and called over 20 times. I have every call documented, as well as the countless excuse they have made for refusing to return my money. I was dodged and lied to by various employees covering for the store manager who would not call back. This include the **** store manager named "*****" who always stated he was going to tell the store Manager **** ********* but my calls were not returned, When I spoke to this person, it was one excuse after another, and when i asked to speak to his superior, he told me many times that there is not one, and that he reported directly to the owner. When i asked if that was **** ******, he said yes, I then sent multiple emails to Mr ******************** and never received a response. After threatening legal action, I received a check on 12/4/2024 for $15,765,04, well short of the amount. I called on 12/6/24 and the games and false stories started all over again.The latest story was that i received a rebate check for the difference. I have repeatedly told them that this can easily be checked, and that any check that should have been sent be cancelled. Bit they will not return calls and after my latest call on 1/20/25 to *****, where i explained the issue to her again, no one has returned my calls. Irronically, I have never received a rebate check in 20 years shopping at that store, and this was no ************ this point, they are stealing the money and will not respondBusiness Response

i ordered some candy cane blow mold christmas decorations. in december i recieved the items, the next day i emailed menards customer service to report the damage. 2 weeks so later they asked me to send pictures. i sent the pictures same day, and it has now been several weeks and i have not heard anything back to rectify this issue. thank youBusiness Response
