Worst internet provider! Avoid at all costs!!! They changed my plan without my authorization. I was supposed to have phone and internet for a cheaper bundle deal. They dropped the phone and had intent only (this is how they started to charge me more). They then increased the router rental from $5 a month to $12. They raised my bill and changed my internet speed with no authorization. I called multiple times to have problem corrected. No problem was ever resolved and they would only say sorry for the inconvenience. Ya I would say internet going from $60 a month to $92 a month is inconvenient especially when I was supposed to have 1 g high speed and they dropped me to 300mbs (again with no authorization). Every month I would try to pay bill online and somehow I was always locked out of my account so I had to call the customer service line, then I would have to pay my bill and a $5 convenience pay fee since I was paying by phone and not online (they would lock me out so I had to pay the extra). This happened SO many times. They are a horrible business that does not care about the customers at all and their staff is less than adequately trained. They are supposed to have a plan and your rate is your rate, but at TDS they will make it whatever they want it to be, not what you signed up for. Then it also becomes your problem. If I could give 0 star I would. Avoid the headache and extra cost and go somewhere else.

Completely destroyed my property Flatted my irises one day and the next my irises are completely gone missing from my yard. $200 worth of irises. They also used my outside water without asking. I didn't receive a letter a note or a knock on the door. I also have things missing from my yard that my husbands grandfather built for his wife that she gave to me. I have pictures. This is freaking ridiculously disrespectful to my home. ***** on this company. I'm not even going to use this stupid fiber optic **** ***** I have ******** and it works ****** times better than anything.

      1. Can't provide the speeds they claim to even from day 1.2. Will unplug your equipment to attempt to upsell you theirs. 3. Hostile customer service, I will put emphasis on this. They actually told us to cancel.4. Asked for copy of Photo ID to verify I wasn't impersonating myself (they said this). ***!?

I cancelled service with **** ******* and TDS for a bundle package that covered **** ******* Service, internet service and phone service. I received a monthly bill showing I owed the full amount for the upcoming month. I contacted TDS and spoke with two representatives. The second representative was friendly and discovered I did not owe for the internet service. She informed me that I did owe for the phone and **** ******* service. I questioned why I would need to pay for service that I cancelled and no longer have access to. She told me TDS pays my bill to **** ******* and I owe them for reimbursement for the service. I again questioned why I was paying for future dates when I no longer have the service. TDS is charging me $137.82 for services I do not have during the dates showing on the bill. If you don't pay they will place in collections and effect your credit. Very disappointing that I have used TDS for 30 years and **** ******* for 20 + years.

TDS sent a flyer to my house in the mail. It offered a lifetime price lock on 300 Mbps for $49.99. When I called, the sales person they sold my on a 3-month promotional offer for t.v. included. I asked if I cancel the 3 month promotional t.v. package, would I still get the price lock for life? I was told yes.
The first bill I received was for 1 Gig internet for $59.99. I called to change it, but was told by customer service I would be better served if I waited a few weeks when I call to cancel my promotional t.v. offer, ask them to change the internet package. I called to cancel the promotional t.v. package and the sales agent told me that if I do that, I will lose my price for life lock on the internet. I told the customer service issue of the promise made to me that that would not happen, and she apologized and stated it was out of her hands. I asked her to cancel TDS service after only 3 months, and they did it without hesitation.
I find this to be bad business practice in the area of customer service and in profitability because to set my house up took two men and about 6 hours total.

A very poorly run company. I'd say even more poorly run than *******. They won't send confirmation emails because paper confirmation is the only thing they send out. I have had multiple instances where I have called and canceled a service and they have continued billing me for them. I could not confirm the changes were made because I never received a letter or email. Who doesn't send confirmation emails when a change to a service is made? They have over billed me by an estimated $1200 dollars over the last 2 years. Be wary of this company. If you have the option to use another ISP, I would.

The service this company provides you can be free: Just unplug your devices and you'll have the TDS experience! Customer service is a waste since they just blame you for the problem while insisting service is fine. Ran through their "self diagnosis" baloney, and the problems still persist. Get your Internet from ANY other company, and you're better off that way.

Terrible customer repair service. I have been calling almost half hour every day for last 7 days after coming from work. Dumn technician came 2 times in my absence and couldn't find issue. Third time he said modem issue. Bought new one and 4th time tech came and said no isssue from inside its our issue from outside and with signal. They will come and fix it. Repair supervisor have no reporting from all these technicians, no information about issue, no clue and just postponded for Monday. Very bad work ethic. Even Manager level person don't have seriousness about resolving the issue which has been going on for almost week. Maybe this is look like company issue about not carrying about customers complaints.

I unfortunately had the displeasure of having TDS as my cable and internet service. If I could give negative stars I would have ! They have a monopoly in tour area for cable and internet. I cannot begin to tell you the times I have had to deal with their terrible customer service. BUT just beware, I decided to stop my cable services and just watch tv through internet service. I called and cancelled my cable service on the 12th (New billing cycle starts the 15th), they gave me a deal on adding phone line w/ internet so stupidly I said yes. The soonest the tech could come out was the 18th. The tech took my cable boxes on the 18th (had not been using them because I thought it was disconnected) when he was there for service. According to TDS I did not cancel my services before the 15th cause they didn't get the boxes until the 18th. This resulted in them billing me $227 for a month of services when I didn't even have the boxes to use their ridiculous cable. Paying $227 for a service THAT I WAS NOT USING is what is wrong with cable companies. It's a scam, it's their money grab. Please please if you can, stay away from TDS.
