      Garbage service and garbage equipment. That doesn't stop them from raising rates though. If you're in an area with internet service options, choose anyone but TDS.

      Worst internet service. It constantly goes out, they have outages at the weirdest and most inconvenient times. Hold times for customer service usually about an hour. You'll never get answers and I had one of their customer service providers disrespect me on one of the calls. I'm a very polite person as I know the outages aren't the fault of an employee so I felt the disrespect was completely unwarranted and I can't wait to not have to deal with this company anymore. They're terrible! I wouldn't recommend them. My internet has gone out for hours and hours at least 3 or 4 times this year alone.

      Very frustrating and awful customer service. Late payment fee of $12 couldn't be taken off even if I failed to receive the bill! According to the TDS representative the responsibility is with ****! Consistent payment history is meaningless to this company. Clearly money overshadows customer experience. I wish there was another local provider I could switch to (and I'm sure they are aware I have no other options).

      I had my Internet installed on the 11th of this month, and I'm not due for a bill until the 11th of next month..my request for service was on 8/26/24..At about 8:40 yesterday morning my Internet stopped working and I just assumed it'd be fine when I came back from town. Over 10 representatives and hours later throughout the day, I find out they've cancelled my service for NO reason WITHOUT my authorization. No calls, messages, confirmation emails of the sort were received on my end from TDS. I've checked multiple times..Now, I have to wait another week when I initially waited patiently, and no one can even direct me as to why they cancelled it in the first place.. it's absolutely ridiculous.Update of the next day: TDS is telling me that they have no record of my installation or a tech coming to my home. So I'm just wondering who the man in the TDS van with the uniform on that brought me my router and set it up was? Not only do they have "no record of my installation," they so rudely insinuated that I was using illegal services. I have every email from 8/26/24-9/11/24 of my request for installation and the entire process throughout. How dare they send someone to my home and then claim they did not do so.. that is where I lay my head and I am extremely upset. TDS messed up and I am being blamed and now I am without Internet when I have proof of every interaction. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

      They use a subcontractor to pre-wire the house to the fiber and have no information about when it will happen. I have been waiting for four weeks with no date scheduled yet. I will update when I have service, but a month plus to hook up service with no warning is not right. First ********** said maximum of 15 days. Second ********** said minimum of 14 days on day 14. I could have already had another provider had they been honest about their install time.

      Worst customer service on the planet, that i have ever dealt with in 46 years of life, literally. I have been on hold a total of 4 hours in the past week trying to resolve billing errors, with still no success getting through to a human. I recently moved l, cancelled service , paid all outstanding balances due, then 2 months later they billed my a random "adjustment" amount of $111 and a "non return modem fee" of $159. The modem they are speaking of was already repossessed by a tech over a year ago when they replaced that DVR/modem with a new modem that i purchased outright. Now whenever i call customer service they never answer my call, seeing that I am a previous and not current customer I'm guessing.

      My complaint with this company is their customer service and sales people. We moved and ******** doesnt work here. Were on a fixed income and couldnt get Satellite because of the charges. We had tds fiber already here. The salesman told us that the package we got included our cell phones. I asked several times if he meant cell phones. He said several times yes cell phones. When the guy connected us I said how do you set up the cell phones. He said we dont have anything to do with cell phones. I was stupid to believe the sales guy I think. That was the first lie. The first month when we paid our bill we were charged a five dollar service fee. We asked about autopay and we tried to set it up but the site wouldnt work. Then they raised the price of our lifetime price and when I called yesterday to ask why I was really shocked by the rude people in customer service. I was sent here and there to all different people who lied to me saying your phone tax went up and your phone package went up. I spent my morning being talked to rudely and disrespected by all but one man who explained the bill to me which is how I know everyone was lying. One awful guy even hung up on me. I was on the phone from ten thirty to twelve thirty and I allowed these awful people ruin my day. I cant remember when an entire company was allowed to treat customers so disrespectfully. If you have the option to get another internet provider in your area please do. I really hate that we have to deal with tds and I wouldnt recommend it at all because of their customer service. If you do go with them watch for their lies and prepare yourself to be treated rudely if you have to call them about anything.

      HORRIBLE! I have been trying since October 2023 to get a refund on where I was double charged. When you try to call the number listed, they NEVER answer. Only emails which are the worse and so very delayed.I will begin the process of reporting this company to every agency I can find. They are fraudulent from what I can tell. Currently they owe me for a month and are still charging my credit card.I can't give a lower rating here then 1 star but I would give them nothing if possible

      Customer service billing department. Rude not knowledgeable and shift simple questions desk to desk which ask for security questions over and over oh and once you get through the answer machine you spend annoying amount of time on the phone for which I think it purpose is to hope you hand up. Once you get your bill corrected weeks go by before refund or credit. Internet service is fine, yet customer service is horrible.

      Terrible service and communication. I signed a contract and was told it would take 10 days to bury the cable and take care of the inside technical set up but heard nothing for five weeks. I called a number of times and people there couldnt tell me anything, because there was no communication between departments. I finally was able to cancel.
