I paid my credit card on time with a confirmation number stating the payment went through. My balance showed the payment was still on my account and found they withdrew the money from my account towards the end of the month instead of right away or a few days later. This caused my bank account to be with in sufficient funds so not only did the payment not go through, but the bank charged me a 25.00 find. Yet Kohl's said my payment went through with confirmation no. Customer service person was impossible to understand. I'm ripping up my Kohl's card. This kind of poor service I don't need What a headache.

Kohl's withdraws the amount due, then withdraws again -- same day. $202 more than expected. They are thieves. Customer service was worse than useless. I will have to stop payment on the second withdrawal. Plan to cut up my card and stop shopping at Kohl's. What happened to them?

I was shopping at Kohl's and charged $59 on their credit card. I paid the credit card on time yet they are claiming I paid it late so they'rel charging me $30 more on a $59 charge. I think this is absolutely ridiculous. I choose not to shop at Kohl's anymore. Dr Tom

I'm filling this report in ref to a payment I made in store using my bank card. The payment was made in March 2022. While making the payment the register went down after I swiped my card but on the card pad showed approved. So the person at the register said she wasn't sure what happened and that there was no receipt. The manager came over & looked at the register and provided me with a transaction #. Neither of them could figure out what happened with the register or the receipt. The manger gave me a transaction # as proof of payment. I then checked my online banking while there with the Manger & noticed the payment came out. So I waited a few days to see if there was a reversal but there was none so I was under the impression the payment was complete. In April I received a bill stating my payment was late & there were late fees added. I called Kohl's customer service, which is horrible & gave them the transaction # but was told they have no payment on fill. An investigation was opened & I was told to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a response & once they found the payment they will clear my acct & reset my credit rating with the credit bureaus, meanwhile my credit score continues to dive. I received a letter saying there was no payment found. I called customer service again to open another investigation. At that point my score went down by about 80 points so i made another payment to stop my score from diving. I've since reached out to Kohl's corporate & they requested my bank statements for 2 months & I've allowed a representative from my bank to speak with them to confirm the funds came out of my account and I'm still being told I didn't make the payment. They continue to investigate. So I'm out of 2 payments & a credit score that has been affected that I have to rebuild. My credit is important to me & this blow due to something that is not my fault is disheartening. I hope this gets resolved & thereafter I will be closing my acct and will never shop with Kohl's again.

I had a kohls card for years and maybe was late once a year on a payment and when the company was always nice enough to wave the late fee. Last month I paid late and called and was told dont worry we can wave the late fee. I just got the next billing statement and was still charged the late fee. When I called the customer service person said I still have to pay it. So i was lied to being told I didn't have to pay it and I really do. They might as well never wave the late fee cause now they charge you anyway. Sadly I will probably be canceling this card.

I’m 75 years old, a Vietnam veteran, and no longer drive nor do I have a car. I had a charge account with Kohls. I owed Kohls $1.00. On my computer, I tried to set up my checking account so that when I received a charge account bill, the amount due would be taken automatically from my bank account and sent to Kohls. I needed one piece of information, my Kohls account userID, to complete the information in my checking account so that any amounts due to Kohls would be automatically taken from my bank account and sent to Kohls. I had three phone numbers for Kohls customer service. Two of the three persons I talked to had such heavy accents that I couldn’t understand them. I was told I could have Kohls take the money I owed (ie $1.00) by providing my bank routing and account number. I provided the information but the $1.00 bill wasn’t paid. I called again and was told I could use my debit card to pay the bill. I provided the debit card information but, again, the $1.00 I owed still wasn’t paid. Fortunately, a friend offer to take me to a Kohls department store where I was finally able to pay the $1.00 I owed. When I returned to my apartment, I called Kohls at an 800 number provided by the sales representative who helped me pay the $1.00 I owed. I ended up cancelling my Kohls charge account. I found the Kohls customer service to be pretty much worthless for this issue I was faced with.

Kohl's Charge Card services are prone to billing errors and credit reporting errors. I know the cards are administered by a second company, but as much as Kohl's pushes use of their credit cards and fails to assist with these errors, I believe they should be held accountable. For this: I have been double billed, report as deceased, and most recently when I made the mistake of getting a new card, the payment never went through (despite showing in my bank statement) and I never received the card. I feel like there is no recourse here because of the many layers of departments and separation between card processing and store customer service.

I ordered a crib from kohls.com and made it about halfway through assembly and realized the headboard piece was cracked in two places. Here are the two options I was provided by customer service: 1. Return the crib to a Kohl's store. The closest one is an hour and a half away. I would have to borrow a pickup from someone, load up this heavy crib, travel an hour and a half one way with an infant on $5/gal gas, and then return it to a store that doesn't carry cribs so I would be left without a crib for my baby. 2. Pick up. I could disassemble what I've already spent several hours assembling and try to make it all fit back just perfectly in the box with 300 pieces of styrofoam and all of the other packing material and hardware. It will be picked up by a mystery carrier at a mystery time which I will find out when they call me randomly whenever they are in the area next. So, I'd better be ready to haul this giant crib out to the curb at the exact moment that happens. Again, no replacement and I'm left without a crib for my baby. Here's what Kohl's is NOT willing to do: 1. They're not willing to reach out to the manufacturer. They cannot do that because they cannot place outbound calls. Makes sense. I have never heard of a company that is unable to contact their supplier regarding quality issues or freight damage. The good news is, I can reach out to the manufacturer myself which is great since I've already called Kohl's multiple times and spoken to multiple people and I have tons of time to make more calls and talk to more people who can't offer solutions. 2. They're not willing to reach out to the carrier to file a claim for the damage. Once again...unbelievable. I also must express my disappointment at the fact that the CS rep escalated this situation to her supervisor, Valerie, and Valerie was supposed to call me back and I never received a call from Valerie. I had to call back just so I could go through the whole process again. No resolution.

Two months ago Kohl's failed to send me a bill electronically. I thought I had just missed getting billed monthly but then they contacted me. I immediately had them deduct full payment from my checking account. Instead of taking any notice of the fact that they had not sent a bill, they posted to all 3 credit bureaus that I had missed a payment. I am so mad that I had them change to where they must mail me a bill. Don't trust anything their credit reps say. Kohl's refuses to remove the non-payment from my credit history and the credit bureaus will not do so unless Kohl's authorizes it. The local store seems unable to do anything about this and I wanted everyone who deals with Kohl's to be aware of this poor credit service.

Never shop here! I've had a Kohl's card for years. I went to the store and spent an hour searching for a few items. I had received $5 Kohl's cash for my birthday. When I went to make the purchase I did not have my Kohl's card. When she pulled it up with my driver's license it implied it was not active because I hadn't used it in a while. She said she could "reactivate it". I had to answer questions & when it asked my annual income it said "you do not have to answer this", so I skipped it. I was declined for a Kohl's card - I thought she was simply reactivating my card so I could use birthday money they said was mine. They can keep their merchandise! I will never shop there again! Go to Belk's instead!
