We purchased 15 windows and 1 patio door on 3/14/22 for the amount of $17,986. Expected instale was Aug 2022. We paid $1,000 down.A month later we heard rumblings about lawsuits filed against Windowselect after we had someone come in and measure windows.Sent numerous emails in April/May about updates with no response.Called on 8/8/22 and finally spoke with someone who had no answers to any questions about when or if our order has been made or a timetable when an install would be done. I asked to habe order canceled. **** said we would have to pay a 15% penalty for canceling order. Nothing in paperwork we signed me tions anything about this "penalty" and said we will never pay that. She took my name, number, *** email and said someone would get back to me.It is now 8/19/22 and have yet to get a response. We would love to get our down-payment back of $1,000 but really just want to wash our hands of this company with no further contact with them.Is there anything else I need to add?Thanks *******************Initial Complaint

On June 11, 2021, we signed an agreement with Window Select (WS) to purchase 11 windows for our residence. The order included 7 double hung, 3 2-lite sliders and a 3-lite casement window. Total amount of the purchase was $10,476. The required 50% deposit of $5,238 was paid by check at that time. Projected installation was to be in ***** weeks. The check cleared our bank on June 15, 2021. WS sent an employee to take final window measurements a few days later. At that time the process seemed to be on track. Now, almost 14 months later, no windows have been installed nor have we received reasonable communications from WS concerning the windows. A phone call late last Fall cited "supply chain issues" as the cause for the delay. At that time it was reasonable, so we continued to be patient. No further communication was received until mid-April 2022 when the company sent two emails citing similar excuses for non-performance. It was clear to us that WS is not, was not, and never will be dealing in good faith. We have no new windows, no anticipated installation date for new windows, and WS is holding a significant amount of our money! On May 11, 2022 we sent a Request to Cancel notice to WS via certified mail requesting cancellation of our contract and a full refund of the $5,238 down payment. There has been no response to our request to cancel nor have we received a deposit refund of $5,238. A complaint was also filed with the ******************************************************** (*****). No response from WS was received as a result of that complaint.Our preferred resolution to this issue is a full refund of $5,238. If monies have already been used toward window assembly, proof of such payment is required to verify such action. in addition, we will take ownership of all completed window assemblies and any partial assembly materials. In 06/2021 we placed an order for all the Windows in our house. We were initially told theyd be installed within about 8 months. In 11/2021 we added a sliding patio door to our order. As each month passed, we were told our order would be delayed due to supply chain problems. Currently, they are advertising guaranteed install within 14 months of order which is now passing. Over the last 14 months I have reached out multiple times a month for updates. In present weeks, I have been unable to reach any manager within the company. Each time I call, the receptionist tells me theyll have a manager call back within 24 hours, which has never happened. Over the last several months as time has passed, we have had increasing issues with water leaking and heating/ cooling issues. It has got to a point where they no longer are giving us any information or speaking to us about where our windows are.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction with Window Select was on 08/31/2021. I ordered 14 Double Hung windows with total price of ****** and I paid half of it as a down payment which was ******* with a check number ****. Window select promised me they would start installing in Nov 2021, but they did not keep their promised work, and did not get back to me in timely manner so I started calling to check the status of my order, and they keep notify me it is not ready due to the ******19, or hard of getting materials. I even asked them to cancel and return the down payment I did at the beginning of the agreement, but they over promised again and again that they would install it with in the next 3 months. Shortly after Window Select installed windows in my home (2021), I had to call and have a technician come out and fix some issues with the windows. During the technicians visit he noticed that the newly installed windows were scratched, cracked, and malfunctioning. The windows have a Double Lifetime warranty. The technician put in for new sashes on 9/16/21. I was told that the replacements would be available Spring of 2022. It is now August 4th, 2022 and I have called several times since April 2022 with the same result. "They are on a truck due to arrive at the warehouse". This company is not abiding by their proclaimed warranty, the main reason I purchased these windows.Initial Complaint

On 1/22/22 a salesman from Window Select came to our home and discussed the purchase and installation of two entry doors from our garage into our home (storm door and entry door plus jam, threshold, etc.) We signed a contract that stated the installation would occur in about ***** weeks from 1/22/22. The amount of the contract was for $3696.00. We paid 50% down which was $1848.00 using our credit card. We did not hear anything, so in May, I emailed our salesman and received no reply. On June 1, 2022 I called Window Select and was assured that it would be August. On 7/26, I went to the Window Select website and realized that they had numerous complaints and bad reviews. I filed a complaint with WI *********************************************************. They notified the company about my grievance the next day and I received a call from ****** at Window Select assuring me that the doors were ordered but that it would be as late as October until we received our doors. I asked for proof that the doors had been ordered. She was unable to give me proof and also would not tell me what manufacturer they ordered from. She now said it would be 6-8 months from the date of the measurement for our doors which was Feb 8th. This goes against what the contract stated. I told her I was aware of all the complaints and the BBB revocation of accreditation. She said there was so much "negativity" in the community related to the media and consumer complaints. She assured me the company was very strong. I told her that they were not standing up to their end on the contract and I did not think I would get my doors since so many customers had not received their product. I told her and emailed her that I wanted a refund. She said she could process the cancellation but they would hold me to paying the balance of the door which would be an additional $308.99 and we would have to pick the doors up. This would also void the warranty. I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute.Initial Complaint

I had 12 windows installed by Windows Select in Sept 2021. Upon installations there were a few problem with several windows. One window the screen was defective, and several of the window were very difficult to lock. We had service techs come to the house to confirm the problems. They claimed parts were ordered and they would let us know when they arrive. Never heard another thing from them. I am most concerned about the windows not locking. This is a major issue for me. Upon contacting the company recently, I am forwarded to an answering service who forwards the message to the company. They (window select) do not call me back in the 24 to 48 hour window like the answering service said they would. This is beyond ridiculous. I want my new windows fixed. Anything you can do to help fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. ThanksInitial Complaint

I had ordered windows through windows select 10/21/21. I had ordered 12 windows total and on 11/17/21 the company came to measure all of the windows. after that no one has been back to complete anything. i had called them, they said the estimated time the windows would come is the end of june and installed early july but i havent heard back from windows select since. I paid $3000 up front and have been paying the rest through a loan servive, Greensky.
