  bought a beaded pool liner , and when i asked if i would need any thing else that would be needed to install the liner was told no , so pool liner was sent and when pool guys came out and opened up the box , they told me not all of the parts where there for installing , so they could'nt install that liner ...I called Doheny and was told pretty much to bad and go to local stores so I could get what i needed ....when I could not get the parts , I told them I needed to return this liner it was no good to me .....So i spoke with a Superviser so I was told and they told me they would refund all but $60.00 out of $450.49 ..today the refund came into my account but only $220.00..so they got back a brand new $450.49 liner and i got SCREWED ... They told me today that it was no longer a new liner because the pool guys opened it ......when it never touched the pool walls or ground ...... I told them on the call the day I was needing to return it that the pool guys had opened it up thinking they were able to put the liner in ....but could not. I want my refund I was expecting and told . I will never buy another thing from this company again . been a customer for many years ...NO MORE. Superviser I spoke with today told me its not their job to make sure the customers have everything they need to make sure no problems occur.

  After three months of attempting to settle a dispute they refuse to be rational. I ordered DE for my pool filter and a winter closing kit. These arrived promptly. In addition I ordered test strips and a pool skimmer. They sent an item that was not ordered that was suppose be the skimmer. They attempt to charge me for test strips they claimed were delivered but the photo from FedEx proved them wrong. Now we’re are into three weeks after the order. Numerous online chats. No one would help. The sent a skimmer that arrived damaged. Test strips were out of stock, so they say, and we agreed on a substitute test strip that arrived one week later. We are now into 6 weeks. I submitted a request for refund of skimmer. I was instructed to return it at my cost. Ok, but the cost of returning it would have been more than the cost. Just beware of customer service. They might be fine with some returns. For me it has been a nightmare. I will take the financial loss and consider it a lesson. There are other vendors to choose from.

  If you do business with this company, you are guilty of supporting a bunch of thieves and crooks. Their customer service is worthless. If you buy something like a chlorine tablet, you might be safe. But if you buy anything even remotely technical like a pump or a filter, be prepared for endless headaches. When you need technical support be prepared to talk to a bunch of people reading the same PDFs online that you are, from India--people who have never even seen the equipment let alone run a swimming pool. The CEO of this company needs to spend time in jail. It needs to go out of business. If you do business with it, you're guilty of supporting a bunch of crooks. Trust me, you'll be crying soon after you press that Buy button.

  I ordered a Doheny's Milano Resin 52 in Pool, 21 ft Round Poop Package, Swimline Overlap Pool Liner, 48-52 in Wall, 21ft Round, 25 Guage, Boulder Swirl, and Pool Start-Up Kit - #2 up to 20,000 gal. for a grand total of $2,969.04. BUT Doheny's added 4 10 packs of Swimline Overlap Liner Flat Style Coping Strip at $19.99 each = $76.96 without my authorization. When I got my charge on my card it was for now a grand total of $3,036.30. If I needed them they should have notified me of that and of the additional charges, but they did not. Better yet they could have sent me a 34 pack for a 21 ft round pool at $33.66. When I received the Pool Start-Up Kit I got the #1 up to 10,000 gal and not what I paid for the #2. I sent several e-mails and made several calls to Doheny's and the only resolution we could get to is they would send me a new #2 kit, but couldn't address the fact they added the additional $76.96 to my order without my authorization.

  False advertising looking for hand rail different price 239.00 in catalog call they quote 439.00 ask why couldn't give me answer. I suggest to them why would you do this to a customer. Is it get to draw customer in on false advertisements. This is not good to do advertisements if you quote two different prices. Not please with there answer false catalog. Pool rail 2181 (3 bend hand rail). Good thing I check with BBB now I see why poor rating.

  This is the WORST I have ever dealt with. Ordered an above ground pool pump. It is NOT compatible with a DE filter and NOWHERE does it state that. NONE Of their pumps do. I'm told I need to go to a plumbing store and "adapt" the pump with pvc piping. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! Customer service stinks! I have to pay to have this filter sent back and if I want a compatible one it will cost double.

  I ordered a Doheny wide mouth skimmer sku# ****, unaware that they (or no one else) sells a compatible winter plug. Their so called pool experts can provide no more information about their products than what is available on the website. So now I have to drain my pool water level to find another skimmer plate with cover or change the whole thing, which would be a major hassle.Find another company with actual knowledgeable sales people.

  This place is a complete mess I bought a inground pool pump from here. Which looked nice and was heavier than normal pump. So i was excited at first. Upon taking out of the box the hieght of the pump made it impossible to plumb to im inlet (would of be nice for them to have dimension on the spec sheet but they did not). Oh well, so i started the return process emailing them stating i am returing the pump for a refund. Support responed and i followed every instruction to the tee. I paid 65 dollars to return the pump (i guess now i wish it wasnt heavier than normal), and they received the pump 3 days later. They then sent me and email saying my refund would be processed withing 72 hours. Three days later i get and email from them saying my order has been shipped. So i called them and they admitted it was their mistake and the they would reverse the shipment and not to worry. Today the pump was delivered to my home. All they told me is sorry, we will send you a slip to have it returned, and once its recieved i would see a refund in 5-7 days after. They refused to even have fed ex pick it up at my home. I live 20 miles away from a Fed Ex. I asked them to refund my money because my purchase was returned and this was their mistake and they refused. So now i get to spend my weekend returning their product and paying the gas to take it back.

  At first I thought they were great. Fast shipping, good communication. I bought an above ground pool ladder that, in the advertisement, didn't say anything about having to add sand. Something I wanted to stay away from. Ladder arrived, I unpacked it and found it had a pop cap on the bottom, and the instructions said "add sand". Well, I didn't want sand in my pool so I put on some Teflon tape and tightened the cap down and filled it with water. Guess what, it leaks. I removed the cap and tape and dried the steps out. Called and received a return authorization. When the steps were dry, I packed up everything and drove 35 minutes to the fedex store. Long story longer...they charged me almost $40 for "restocking". I returned these because they were faulty! Why should I have to pay for that stressful experience. As many others have said, customer service turned it around on me. "Sand is thicker than water " he said, that wouldn't leak into your pool. Duh! And I thought In The Swim was bad.
