      I purchased a pool pump from Doheny's on 5/27/23. It stopped working on 8/8/24, not even 15 months after purchase... Customer service stated that it's past the one year warranty period... I understand that, but feel they should be standing behind their product and work with me on a resolution... I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again, and let this be a warning to consumers. I wish I had checked reviews of this company before I purchased the pump.

      We do apologize, Warranty starts on the date of purchase and is a 1-year manufacturer warranty against any manufacturing defects. The warranty is also for direct replacement only. If this was extended as a courtesy, we would only be able to replace the unit. It was also conveyed that a replacement pump was already purchased elsewhere. If a replacement is still needed please feel free to contact us to discuss what we may be capable of providing.

With out pictures or a physical sample of the cover we are not capable of making any warranty decision. The instructions for this process are included below... Please submit, via email, 3 pictures of your cover showing the damaged/defective area on the cover. Please include your name, address, valid phone number and email address so we may contact you upon decision. We kindly request your pictures be emailed to: ****************************************** Be mindful that the sample must show the damage/defective area to be approved. The warranty ONLY covers manufacturer defects such as seam separation and delamination. Your sample MUST show seam separation or delamination to be approved. Misuse of cover and acts of Mother Nature including bad weather, high winds, damaged bubbles, heavy chemical buildup and extreme heat ARE NOT COVERED.       This business is horrible . They lie and never give back ur money and they keep your product. They want me to spend $50 to ship them a label to send my item back that i returned. Im stuck without a float and $54.30.HELP

      Called regarding a refund for what we thought were chlorine and ended up being soda ash. We were told we would need to spend $50 to possibly receive a refund. This cost is %50 of what we purchased. We asked to have the option to return in person at the ****** warehouse and were told NO. I asked if there was another option to have a discount or free shipping label as this was our first time purchasing with their company and then utilize the refund to purchase the correct item. Both the representative and supervisor told us NO. A guarantee that the amount refunded would need be sent back to us as if during shipping something occurred and the product was damaged we wouldnt receive the refund. So, front more money for an item you dont need and you MAY get your money back. I asked what the incentive was to continue to purchase with their company rather than a local company or ****** (free returns). They just restated the option to pay for the shipping to return. By the way, we have lots of friends with pools here in *********. Was trying to support a family owned business and potentially spend a lot of money and positive word of mouth to use this company. Perhaps their business model is to not offer free returns to disease customers to have limited recourse to get a refund? As a company, YOU have the opportunity to gain business and retain customers. I have no reason to promote this company or continue purchasing with them at this currently stands. Its a shame.

      I do apologize that a mistake was in choosing the correct product on your online order.  I do see that what was shipped was the correct item that was ordered, item # ****Q2.  Per our return policy as it is stated on our site, "Satisfaction guaranteed! If you are not completely satisfied with any Dohenys product, return it within 30 days in new/unused condition for a full product refund, excluding any shipping or handling."  We offer the $25 label as courtesy for the return of this product, this is at our discounted shipping rate.  However, as the item was ordered incorrectly the cost of the return does fall to the Customer.  You may also return this through any other means of your choosing following the below instructions....

      To return any merchandise, place it in its original carton along with your contact information, order number if available, and the reason for the return. Send to: Doheny's ************** *********************************************. All returns must be pre-paid and insured. If you have any questions, please contact our ************* Team at: ***************************************************************** or call us at **************. Refusing delivery on any shipment that is not damaged will result in shipping and restocking fees. These will be deducted from the refund amount. We must be notified of any problem with your shipment within 24 hours of delivery.

      Doheny's If you like wasting money go ahead!If you value your time and money stay away!! Ordered a pool pump $423.99 dollars after $200 dollar install pump lasted 33 days. Called for a refund and was told company policy stated 30 day refunds only, they could ship a new pump and i would return old pump within 2 weeks of receipt. Received new pump another $200 dollar install, then 13 days later my card was charged $415 dollars for not receiving old pump??? Called Doheny's and was told the shipping label was never used, went to FED EX "shipper" sitting in lost and found "said box was wet driver refused" I immediately called Doheny's and explained situation. I repacked pool pump and reshipped on Friday July 26th. Still no refund! July 29th new pump stopped working. Called Hayward pump dealer for a new pump install $1,211.39 installed..I'm now out $2,125.00 dollars for a pool pump!

      The credit has been reissued back to your card as of 08/01/2024 for the $423.99.  Please note that we do ask that the product is returned with in 2 weeks from the time the new product is shipped, or charges will then be made.  As this was not returned and we were under the assumption you were in possession of both of these products the charge was initiated.  Please note that it typically takes the bank a processing time of 72 business hours for that refund to be visible.

      I do not recommend this company for pool supplies. I purchased a pool cover Two years ago. It has a 10 year warranty. After the second year of use they were rips in several places of the cover. I expressed to them prior to the purchase that I wanted a good quality cover that would withstand the elements. They told me I was not entitled to a refund or replacement cover because there was not a manufacturer defect. I asked for the name of the manufacturer and they refused to supply that information. I also asked if I could have a credit towards a better quality cover and they said no. If the product has a 10 year warranty, shouldnt it last that long? There was nothing I did wrong on my end. The cover did not hold up to the warranty promised. *********************

      READ THE REVIEWS. Pay very close attention to the fine details and make sure you are ordering the right part for your pool before placing your order. I ordered the wrong part for my pool and called around 10 minutes later to cancel the order. The customer service representative was very nice and told me that she would put in a work ticket and it would be canceled. I thought all was good until i got a notification that my ordered had been shipped. I called and talked to another customer service representative and she told me that they have a strict policy that items under 40 dollars could not be refunded, even though the previous customer service representative told me that my order would be canceled. The order was only for around 20 dollars but it is still money lost. I ordered the correct part from another company that offers free shipping and I could return the part if needed. Good customer service goes a long way. Now I have a part that I cannot use and left with a horrible experience. I will never order from this company again.

      Doheny’s is a terrible company to order from. We ordered a 15’ pool and received an 18’ pool. They are saying we have to return it at our cost. We also ordered the liner with it and it was on back order. We called them to check on it and customer service said it was a good thing we called because the liner that they placed was a discontinued item and if we didn’t call we may not have ever received a liner. We also ordered a robot vacuum and they are having to replace it due to malfunction. We will never order from doheny’s again.

      They sent us a replacement vacuum and now the string is not long enough to adjust. This has been the worst experience ever. The indicator lights did work. We ordered a 15 pool and received a 18 pool as mentioned before and we have to pay for shipping to return it. I will never buy from them again!!! Now I have to call them to get another replacement. This has been nothing but a headache!!!!

      We do apologize for the issues you had experienced with the cleaner, we do see that another replacement has been shipped out to you today.  We also have provided you with prepaid return labels for the defective units.  Please return the defective cleaners using these labels and the instructions provided in those emails. 

      When it comes to the pool being the wrong size, we do apologize but we had shipped you the correct product that you had selected on our website in your online order.  This is the reason that we would require that the cost of the return shipping in this instance is paid for by you. This is all per our return policy, also listed on our website.  The order that was keyed on your behalf was for an 18' rd swimming pool, if this was to large or incorrect we would require this product be prepaid and returned for a credit to be issued so that you may then order the correct sized product.
